Crashes

My first app review ever. This app has the potential to be extremely beneficial in setting up your gateway however it crashes EVERY SINGLE TIME it’s open for more than 10 seconds or so. I just received my new 5G gateway today and can’t even properly set it up due to the crashes and on top of that, every time the gateway is unplugged to try new areas in the house for best service, it makes you restart the entire setup process even though there’s a built in battery! I must be in a terrible service location because what I have tested is less than 10Mbps. I’ve spent most of my evening working with this app and gateway and I’m highly considering sending it back even though no other ISP offers any internet in my area.

My experience

Having had TMobile internet for over 6months now i can confidently give them 5 stars for Customer Service because you get to speak with expert everytime. The question I have has to do with basic connection confusion. You should be able to connect the gateway that gives you the internet to your phone without it asking to connect to your network. If i have a WiFi network, there will not be any need for me to have TMobile internet in which case i expect the gateway to establish basic Internet connection using my phone data with bluetooth not asking to connect to wifi network because at that stage i do not have WiFi. I only need WiFi to share my internet with others. As a result of this my network is not a secured one. Something has to be done about that to make TMobile internet a perfect one. TMobile remains the best Network and l continue to recommend it to others.

New ARC Gateway

I received the new ARC Gateway, noticed a lot of the other reviews were for the older Nokia unit. Setup was super fast and simple. Signal strength was good for me and I connected ALL my devices, phones, tablets, TVs, Alexa, Ring Doorbell. So many things. Everything is working great, no interruptions or crashes. Speeds are as good to way better than I had before. I have run several speed tests and they have varried but always good. Quite pleased so far, and way cheaper than other services. App does what it's supposed to do. I wanted to leave a review since my experience has been great and I wanted to offset a lot of the negativity I've seen in the reviews.

Sorry to say, but I must be honest

Can we please update the app already!!! I don’t know how long this million dollar company is gonna wait but lord even the cox app is better,(just be ready for hidden fees and a way bigger price tag) To start out you can kick people off, rename devices, pause wifi, and set timers way better and easier. Honestly it is basically the same speed don’t get me wrong sorry to say that. I’ve been with T-Mobile for years now since high school and it’s been great but wow this app feels old ,buggy, and sad. Especially now that a lot more people are going for your wifi you should try a bit harder on customer experience. Honestly be ready for the disappointing outcome this app will bring. Although I haven’t had any issue with customer service and I’ve been with this company 8-9 years now. It’s just sad Let’s get to it guys much love.<3

Terrible service

We have T-Mobile internet for about 2 months. In that time we have had numerous issues with losing the internet and streaming on the tv. We have called repeatedly and have gotten poor results. Just tonight we were told that we are not getting the service we are paying. That does not make any sense. After the girl did some adjustments she said’ you will no longer have these issues again’. About 5 minutes later.. we were back having the issues again .. I would not suggest this service to ANYONE!!! They obviously have no idea what they are doing and on top of that the network has no one willing to talk on the phone about the issues and they do not return calls!! Very hard company to deal with

This App needs a lot of work!

The t-mobile Internet itself works great in my area. I find it to work better than both Comcast & Verizon, and it's WAY cheaper without any hidden additional cost. As for the APP...that is a whole different story! The APP is pretty basic, but it should still be somewhat beneficial with checking connectivity to devices, speeds and making adjustments with connection /disconnecting or modifying internet control /schedule restrictions to specific devices. This APP seriously only works about 20% of the time which is really annoying! T-mobile needs to make this fix a priority or they will lose out on potential Internet business that they are trying to expand on. In my opinion, the severity of these inconsistencies when using the APP will most likely be a deal-breaker for a lot of people!

App is Abysmal

Internet is… meh, and definitely not the best, but I’m not here to rate the service. The app for the service has got to be one of the worst apps I’ve ever had the misfortune to use. The app is not very intuitive, first of all. It’s very basic and not streamlined. The options and configuration are almost nonexistent. The worst thing about it is that I have to delete and reinstall the app every time I need to use it. Everything doesn’t load and an error pops up stating you need to restart the app every time you want to go to a different page on the app. It only ever works the first time I use the app after installation/reinstallation. It wouldn’t be a big deal if you were able to access the internet information via a website and not solely through this mediocre app.

Ugh! So much potential but drops the ball

This app is absolutely terrible! The potential is there, but it only has very basic controls, and half the time they don’t work! I like that I can control the connection of each device, but when I disconnect a device through the app, reconnecting it is extremely difficult and can sometimes take days!!(not even kidding!) I wish I could rename the devices that are connected so I know which device is what(I was able to do this is century link so I know it’s possible). And WHY can’t we control the modem unless we are connected to it?!? This is also something I could do with century link that I miss-if I need to turn off the wifi while I’m at work so the kids will finish homework or chores. Or reboot it while I’m away and the kids need internet connection but it’s slow or not working. Please fix it! Because I love the internet and the speeds and the company, but I’m going to have to switch if these things can’t be fixed

Terrible service mentor Ohio

I had t mobile for awhile and the last 2months (July and august) the actual connections were terrible: if I moved my head, the call would drop; calls wouldn’t go through; if I walked anywhere different from where I was talking, the calls would drop, calls wouldn’t ring through. The most upsetting was the service. I went to one of the stand alone showrooms and there were 2 inexperienced representatives in the store and they knew nothing about t mobile and plans or service. They suggested I go to the company owned store about 5 miles away. Upon entering, no one greeted me. The was a male person sitting at the desk where they do the service start up! He was rude and condescending and couldn’t answer any of my question or problems I was having. I said I guess I should take my business elsewhere and he said be my guest if that is what you want to do! I wanted help, the calls would drop while trying to get someone at the 611 number! Got frustrated and canceled my cell phone coverage

HORRIBLE experience so far

I just got my Home Internet modem, and that is the only thing that is working as I’d expect. This app is just barely one step above useless. First, I use it on iPad, but there is no iPad version, so it’s just the phone version, which makes me think I it’s an old app that hasn’t really been updated in a while. Next, the only thing you can really do is see the same info that is displayed on top of the modem. You can’t even separate the 2.4 and 5GHz networks, or set up a guest network, or anything like that, and it’s not smart enough to know what most devices are, so you’ll see them in the list but can’t tell what’s what.Next, trying to create a T-Mobile ID when you only have Home Internet is impossible. There are multiple threads going back at least a year of people having problems, and those same problems still exist. I chatted with an “expert” on the T-Mobile website and they had no clue and told me to call customer support. I guess now I have to call and see if their phones are staffed by equally incompetent people… fun.On the bright side, I’m getting the same speeds I was with Cox, but at less than half the price, and Cox has some of the worst customer service of any provider (right down there with AT&T), so even if T-Mobile’s customer support is completely incompetent, it won’t be any worse than what I’m used to.
