Problems not fixed
The app’s improved development features look good, more subtle control in the Colors module, but the strong horizontal stripes of undeveloped paper texture are still there making effectively half the transformation useless. Then, on top of that the Save unit doesn’t save to the Camera Roll and, in fact, appears to not save anywhere on the phone. Instead one must use Airdrop or Mail to get the processed image out of the app. And the final insult? The Airdropped image is a third the size of the image saved in WaterLili Lite. Since one can rotate a vertical to avoid the grey section error, there’s really no use to upgrading since the Airdropped image is so small.
Beautiful results and so easy!
Was able to create a beautiful picture within minutes.
Nice effects and nice interface
If you have the Waterlogue app for water colors, I highly recommend Waterlili. I find the interface gives you greater versatility, options and control. So far with a few tests of photos from gallery and taking some snapshots within the app itself, I was impressed with dynamic range of results I was able to create. The price is reasonable, and there are no in app purchases to make.
No brushes to clean
Create an oil printing of your photo is very simple with this app. Minimal controls that speed the process right along. Works best with simple non complicated images. And best of all no brushes to clean when you’re done. Would gain the extra star to bring it to a 5 star rating, if you could crop the photo in the app. Then you could move the image to fit inside the covers/edge brush strokes (eg head in portrait is off to left side to start - then covers left side does doesn’t fit well). As it is I need to crop in the iPhone Photo app and guess how the cover will fit when I bring the photo over to this app.

This is a great app. Not the typical “apply” painterly effect” app... although I do really enjoy those, too. This a quick & dirty but always pretty tool. Also, the tech support is I 5 Star, communicative, and goes above & beyond. You’ll be pleasantly surprised how quick and easy this app is to get fantastic results.
Very easy to use
I like the app but find it very limited. Not enough “covers” also colors of covers extremely limited. I could be wrong but I couldn’t find an option to rotate the covers. Since the number of covers is limited and cannot be turned flipped or reversed they are extremely recognizable and therefore cannot be used very often.I tried to find a tutorial in case I am missing something and could not find one anywhere.
Upgrade
I am a digital artist and have absolutely adored this Ap. Your upgrades have not kept pace with the newer versions of the iPhones. I understand that you have moved on to bigger and better things, but I am begging you to please upgrade this Ap to current iPhone upgrades. This Ap does things that no other Ap does. I love it and am so disappointed that I am unable to use it as before.
Top quality effects
I was able to import a large PNG, edit it in this app, and export it as a large enough file to easily resize to 11x17 print quality in photoshop afterward. Fantastic image quality for an iOS app, and especially at this price.
Very creative app
I love The way my pictures come out with this app it’s very down the details so I’m just going through the app and messing with that you’re able to create a very unique picture something that somebody else just can’t turn around and make my kids love it and we make silly pictures and some that are very serious I really really like this app
Pretty, but
While the results are okay, the app takes up way too much storage space for such a narrow range of features. I’d also expect more watery effects—such as bloom—from something that calls itself “Waterlili.” The masks would be more useful if you could rotate as well as scale, even better if you could customize them with a brush/eraser. I do like the elegant and logical layout of the interface. The save/share options barely function on my iPad Air. Most of the time it crashes the app. When it doesn’t, the sharesheet often fails to appear, even with long waits. When an image does eventually make it to the camera roll, more often than not a big chunk is blotted out with a grey rectangle. High resolution isn’t worth much if I can’t save the picture in the first place. Even if save worked properly, it would be better to have a choice than be forced to a high resolution when it’s not necessary. On the plus side, even when it crashes, the app does save the last used settings (except the mask), which makes it easier to make another attempt.
