Great!
This is a very well made app. However, I was looking for something with less control and more automatic conversion from a photo to art. I think this app is great for those who want to have a full control of how each pixels turn out. Their customer service is also very excellent. They replied to my question within a few hours.
A Disappoinment
Stripping all of the color out of an image is no way to begin a conversion. Unlike some painting apps, Mobile Monet doesn’t allow users to choose the extent of change the user wants. No. The app strips out all of the color—and the very poor documentation/help text leaves you clueless about what to do and what choices are available. This would be the child of a marriage between the worst of the colorburst apps and a bad translation of documentation about someone else’s app. I have a couple of the other ECP apps - and they all have similar problems - but this is the very worst of the lot.
Rocky start, but really like the app
This is the first app I've had of this type. Getting it to do what it was supposed to do was not very intuitive. I ended up stumbling across how to use it and once I figured it out, the results have been frankly terrific. The filters are great. I'm sure there's more to the app but it does what I want so I'm not delving further into it.
Cool app.
I downloaded this app. from apps gone free. Best decision ever. I have just explore the beginning of this app. I'm sure there's more to learn. I recommend this app to make really cool pictures on the fly. In due time I will learn more about modifying pictures and make even better pictures but I'm having too much fun turning my friends pictures into abstract art. I gave it five stars because right now I'm modifying my pictures and they look great and it's fun.
Top notch photo-paint app
I'm a novice re: photo to painting apps; I usually focus on traditional landscape images. However, I've been discovering the joy of turning seemingly ordinary photos into strong images/art that conveys my vision at the time; amazing. On the desktop, I've been using Snapart for a long time and Paper Artist on iOS, however have been looking for something more robust. This app definitely fits the bill. It's fairly intuitive, it has a lot of various types of... Painting Styles and is has enough Modifiable settings to satisfy most people. All in all a top notch product. Now what they need to do is create a desktop version.
Best app ever
I heard about this from another photographer. I decided to try it and I am in love with it. I loved Microsoft digital imaging that I had when I was a PCer. I have been disappointed that apple who has better equipment never had a photo program that was as good as DI. Let me tell you that one was far better than photoshop. Finally this wonderful one Comes along and I can now create work like I used too. I have just one small problem. I like shooting with my camera and creating on my laptop where I have a larger screen when will someone make this compatible with my MAC. My world will be complete when that happens. Get this and you too will become addicted
Easily Create Beautiful Paintings!
This app is SO COOL! You select any photo from your library and EASILY transform it into a work of art you can hang in your home! We went on a trip to France last year and I used one of those pics to create a beautiful, impressionistic water color painting for our dining room. I ordered the print matted and framed and it turned out perfect!
An artist photographer's opinion
I've never written a review of an app before. But this app is really cool and I wanted to congratulate the creators of it. It is easy to use, and though it doesn't do what I was looking for, which was turning a photograph into something that looks sort of pixelated like Renoir and Monet did, The effect that it gives the artist is unusual and acceptable considering the cost of the app. In a few moments I learned how to use it and sent out 2 photos that I turned into pictures which I thought the people who I had taken the pictures of would really appreciate. Keep in mind I've only had this app for an hour or so. Once I get the hang of it I bet I'm going to make sensational looking pictures. The kind that I can sell. If that's not worth trying it nothing is.
Truly Marvelous and VERY HAPPY !
I absolutely ADORE this app !It's wonderful .. And when I had some issues with a revision, the designers contacted me and immediately made me happy !!I can't recommend this wonderful app anymore than 5 stars only because I'm looted here . But I would give these designers 30 stars if I could !Truthfully , I liked the app much better prior to the revisions . I had more control over what I wanted to do as far as personal creativity . Still better than any other app like this .
Great!
Took a great shot of our three dogs actually looking at the camera. Unfortunately it was a little blurry. I had the idea of maybe turning it into a painting. Googled some apps, download this one and was not disappointed. They even sent a $30 gift card with the print! Will definitely keep this app
