Mostly Pros

This is a "fun" program to use and it's quite good on some photos but not all depending on the image content. I find that the small iPhone screen doesn't show the apps full potential because you can't see much of the subtleties on the little screen so I would say don't get the program if you only plan on keeping the altered photos on your iPhone. However, when you use the filters on the iPhone and email the finished photos to your computer I think the enhancements can be very realistic and pleasing when viewed in a larger size. From there you can print, up load to shutterfly or just view them on the computer screen or TV and the results are worthwhile. It isn't really for accomplished artists as they will be very attuned to the limitations but for the average or above average photographer who wants to wants to view images in different ways and experiment with some alternative manipulations I think they will like it. For the people complaining about the load speed and the cost...my gosh, I spend more than $2.99 every time I lose a golf ball in the woods; and is an extra 10 seconds out of our life to experiment with a photo we like all that horrible?

Fantastic photo to painting app

This app does exactly what the description states. It creates art from your photos. And it does a great job at it. It turns normal people into artists, or at least starts them on their way. There is no better app that I have found that recreates oil paintings in an automatic way. This app is an excellent find. It literally required no work on my part and the paintings are great.Apple obviously understands great products and putting this on the front page for me to find it was a wise choice! I even found it while visiting my local Apple store..lolThe definition of art is varied but some of them are: "the creation of beautiful or significant things", "art is the process or product of deliberately arranging elements in a way to affect the senses or emotions". This app does exactly that.

Great inspiration

I have purchased most of the apps in this family and find them all to be enjoyable for manipulating photographs before I pull out my paints and put my own spin on it. Its like visual brainstorming. They are also fast to reply with questions and problems. I own both the IOS and desktop apps and have only had to contact them once, but the reply was within and hour and the problem resolved right away. Awesome apps and company. (I recommend Impresso Pro and Aquarella too.)

Powerful but needs more functions

This is a powerful "painter" rendering engine, but I can only give it 4 stars because of the lack of user options.At a minimum there should be:• a "backup" slider that allows a user to adjust the amount of any effect, from 100% to 0%. If I find a look I like but it is too heavy, I should be able to reduce the effect until I'm happy with it.• an "undo" button that lets me step back through the last 5 - 8 changes, in cases where I need to go back in my experiments with color, density, saturation and etc. Sometimes I forget where I was, and need to jump back a step or 5.• a page of example photos that give me a general idea of how a change would look; by clicking on an example, my current work in progress would be rendered with the same presets, which I might never duplicate on my own.This list of functions would, in my view, greatly enhance the power of the app by giving more creative control to those who want it, while leaving the mostly click-and-watch functions to users who are satisfied with a mostly automated rendering function.Thanks for making this app available!

Minimal control

This is a canned app that applies effects across and entire photo instead of allowing you to paint the photo with more or less details in the areas you want. I suppose for those that want instant gratification, this is OK; but, I need a dedicated and robust painting tool. An example is CleverPaint; but, its developer is apparently not supporting it in iOS12. A real shame.
