Nice try, but...
As a huge fan of puzzle games with nice visuals, I was really hoping to like this game after reading some good reviews. Sadly, while the graphics are good and the puzzles decent, I must agree with a great many other reviewers who deem the 3D and selection controls absolutely horrible. Clicking around forever to get to a spot I know must be a clue or a puzzle is very irritating to say the least. It is also glitchy. I am only on level two and a simple latch to a compartment with a key puzzle piece will not move. (I know it should because, one, it's very obvious and two, I got frustrated and went to an online walkthrough to make sure I wasn't missing anything. I wasn't.) So, there's no advancing for me and I've barely begun.I am playing on the latest iPad Pro so there shouldn't be any problem. If the controls would work better (or at all, in some cases) it looks to be a decent game. Bummer.
Great concept but glitchy
I really enjoyed the puzzles, though some time you have to really really search for triggers and solutions. Lighting can be a little tricky from some angles you’re stuck at.The frustrating thing is a few of the steps I came across were so glitchy, I’d get frustrated enough thinking maybe I’m not doing something right and look for a solution online, only to find I AM RIGHT but the game is not performing as it should… making a small simple step frustratingly repetitive until the game finishes glitching and decides to work. I didn’t finish the last level because of one of these glitches. But I really do love the puzzle box aspect of this game.

This is easily one of the more “interesting” escape games I’ve played. I say interesting because it was at first something of a love/hate relationship. Clearly it is modeled after “The Room”, but lacks much of that game’s polish. The controls can be intensely frustrating at times: the 3D panning is either unresponsive or like you’re caught in a tornado, and object interaction is often finicky, especially when trying to drag something. And the puzzles... some were, in my book, a bit obscure, requiring more guessing than solving. At least once, I sat there going, “What the heck is there even to do?”. But honestly, guessing the intent of some puzzles turned out to be as much fun as solving the logical ones- which btw, this game had some of the better I’ve seen. There was just enough difficulty, for whatever the reason, to keep me challenged without utterly putting me off, and a certain sense of “weirdness” about the puzzle constructs that compelled me to stay engaged. To top it off, I managed to finish the game (by God’s grace) without using any hints, so in my moment of satisfaction I felt overall the game is worth 5 stars, but I can understand how others might feel less generous.
Best escape games ever made!!!
I have played all the different types of escape games you can find in the App Store and had thought that I had a favorite developer until I came across your games. The escape games that you’ve created are hands down the best ones I’ve played (all of them), but especially this game. Thank you so much for creating these games and making them free to play. I am broke and can’t afford to buy games and I have no days off at the moment but your games get me through long boring days and I’ve never had so much fun playing a game! The level of detail as well as the creativity behind each puzzle in the games is mind blowing. You are awesome!! Keep doing what you are doing. Side note - Iv never ever taken the time to rate a game or write a review, but I just had to for your games because you need to know how awesome people think they are!
Beautiful, but not very functional
I love the look of this game, and the puzzles are challenging...a little too challenging. Once you use all the hints, thats it; no more hints EVER (unless you pay for them). The clues are also not very helpful: in the first room I clicked all over and couldn’t find what to do so I clicked “hint” and it highlighted something I already clicked all over with no indication of what to do with it. What makes it worse: if you do not click in EXACTLY the right spot you won’t press the button or switch, or be able to pick up items you need. Theres also NO way to tell what you can interact with and what you can’t.There is no “guidence”, like the Nancy Drew computer games at least there was an idea of the direction you had to go even if you didn’t know the way. No such fortune with this game. You just stumble blindly doing random things till all of a sudden “oh, the first door opened, so I guess I did something right. What was I supposed to do?”Im at the point now where Im just randomly tapping my screen all over in every way imaginable and nothing is happening. So will I pay $1.99 for something I’ve already tapped a million times to glow? I don’t think so.
Really Fun and challenging, but...
There needs to be a system where when you solve a room you get +1 hint. Because there are sometimes in the game where you have no idea what to do. You’ve rotated and tapped on everything and a hint usually points you to some minuet detail that’s very easy to miss. I rarely need hints but when I do it’s a very hard puzzle that’s usually in the dark. They need to also work on brightening up the game. It randomly dims and in dark rooms in game it’s hard to see what you can tap on, it’s easy to miss stuff that way. So more ways to get free hints are needed. And come on, 2 dollars for 5 hints? A bit ridiculous. Should at least be 10+
I like it but....
I do like the graphics o this game. But I do find that some clues are not there. Like on level 1 how do u know what number to put on the the south on the compass. And how did u know the number combo for the briefcase. Currently on level 2 I am on the green table. I have opened all the drawers except 1. The one where it flips over and there is a gold slide clip. It absolutely will NOT open. I even played it on my phone to see if it was my iPad that wouldn’t do it. Nope. It won’t open on my phone either. So currently I am stuck and can not go any further. So I can’t give a full rating until I can finish. That is if I am able to. Any help would be appreciated
A lengthy enjoyable escape logic game
I thought I had played this game before but I hadn’t. What a great surprise to find this gem to fill a couple of evenings of time with. I love escape/puzzle games and this definitely filled the bill. There were no glitches, the puzzles were logical and intuitive. You are given a few hints (I used mine to skip a type of puzzle that I despise) but there are plenty of walk throughs if you get stuck and use your hints up. I got stuck a couple of times on the later levels - and probably would have figured the puzzles out on my own had I been patient enough. All in all a great game to pass time.
It started out OK…
…but the puzzles became boring since it was the same basic puzzle form at every level, and then multiple similar puzzles within each level. There were some that I had to go to the walkthrough to figure out what the expectations for the solution were supposed to be. Some were a bit obtuse at best. By the time I got to the end of the game, I was ready to delete it out of boredom and frustration. The graphics were good, but movement within any given level was kind of touchy and not smooth or intuitive in some areas.
I really wanted to like this game
I really tried to play this game and was enjoying it at first, but the puzzle with the rings in level three was a complete misery. Sorry, but it just wasn’t fun. I don’t want to spend a gazillion hours trying to understand the complex mechanics so I can beat it, or an equal number of hours going in circles with trial and error. This puzzle seriously needs a skip option in my opinion. 3 stars because there’s a lot of good here, but only three because level three was so annoying and frustrating that it took all the fun out of it. Deleting. Let me know if it ever gets updated with a skip option.
