Solid game

The puzzles in this game remind me of hidden-object-puzzle-adventure games (HOPA). Quite a few are ones I’ve seen before in those games. Which means they have a sort of universal logic to them, making them easier than the ones where you have to try to crawl into the mind of the developer to solve them. I prefer my puzzles a bit harder, but the game was still enjoyable. Not much of a storyline, but that’s okay. Nice graphics for a free escape game. I found it odd that they mixed cultural antiques so much. For example, you’re rescuing a cleopatra type victim and there’s ancient Egyptian statues (Horus, etc.), but then Mayan calendar disks are there too, sometimes Thai statues as well. Just kinda weird. Fairly long game, too. Well worth playing! Check out Haiku games Adventure Escape series, they are phenomenal!

Third Review

Believe it or not this is the third time I’ve re-written my review. But this will be the last time. I started out not liking the game since you have puzzles that tell you to “play this game” but you do NOT know what they want you to do. But I stayed with it or had to watch a cheat video to get past it.But the more I played the more I was enjoying it. Turned out to be lots of fun puzzles. A couple of them were almost impossible and had to skip them. And it’s a long game which is good. But near the end of the game you have to play a type of bejeweled style game that pits you up against good and evil. You could literally spend hours trying to beat this only to either loose or get “locked” out. There is no strategy for this puzzle as it is all dumb luck. To ME, this ruined the game. When a game forces you to quit at the end of the game, this TO ME is poor designing.

Couldn’t continue

This is quite a fun game, and I was really enjoying it until this one part… the Egyptian princess. I’ll try not to spoil anything for any potential players reading, but I watched a walkthrough after a few hours of frustration, and it seems to be that after I wake her we’re have a small conversation? But all I get is her saying “Oh how long have I been asleep?!” that’s it. I’ve read a couple reviews, and they’re problem was an ad in the way— the developer fixed that, but now it just won’t continue. Based off of walkthroughs, she’s supposed to give me a blue heart or star, but I didn’t get either. I’ve deleted the game and played up to this point twice. I also don’t get the floating yellow gem that leads you to the hospital area either, and hints aren’t leading me anywhere! I’d really love to work this out, as I enjoy this game very much. Thanks for reading!

The werewolf “puzzle” is a nightmare

Literally, and not because it’s scary. I was thoroughly enjoying the game so much, up until I found myself faced with a candycrush-esque obstacle that is virtually impossible to win. The objective is to “beat” the werewolf by making his red life line turn green. Which you do by matching almost nonexistent green tiles to rack up points. But, be careful not to match any of the abundant red tiles or you will lose points. Something which is more than easy to do. It doesn’t matter if I rack up 150 points (that doesn’t even fill half the lifeline) the red tiles will promptly self match and knock out my points ten fold, setting my back to zero. Oh, and as if that’s not enough. When the red tiles make matches, it powers up the wolf, who releases chains onto the board locking up tiles until you make a match beside them. And if there are too many chains blocking you from making any matches, you have to start all over. I’m beyond frustrated at this point. A game that I was previously delighted to give 5 stars, has sadly bumped down to.

Its good! But it can be infuriating.

Okay- the game as a whole was enjoyable. A nice lengthy game to play in your free time. But dang is it infuriating at times. •A “rate this game” notification pops up ALMOST EVERY 3 MINUTES, that alone made me want to delete the game. •The puzzles- most of them are very enjoyable and fun to solve, but some, like the last game, are just hell. Thankfully we are given hints so we can skip them, but i have to stand around to get the ads so i can collect the 3 hints needed.•The puzzles give you no instructions, for many of the puzzles I’d have to click and hold and drag all around the screen so i could figure out what moves and what doesn’t, after that, i have to figure out what even is the point of the puzzle- and it can be very infuriating at times.•The game has some spelling mistakes, like missing s’ and missing some articles. Not really important, just wanted to point it out.I really like the different sceneries of this game, and i enjoyed playing it for hours, although i had to just stop sometimes because it got me frustrated. I think the puzzles are good with some exceptions. This game is really good, and with some fixes, it could be even better! It was a good game!

Makes no sense...

Some of the puzzles make no sense and there is no way to find out how to do the puzzle or what the end objective is. I love escape games and am really good at them and so are my friends but we all have had problems trying to figure out what to do on some of the puzzles. It’s so frustrating you just want to quit. Then it takes 3 hints if you want to pass a puzzle if you get stuck for hours and can’t pass it. Getting hints is ridiculous. You spin the wheel and then if it lands in ad you watch the ad and still don’t get a hint. You only get it if you land in the free hint which seems to never happen. I understand having to watch the ads that’s not my problem. The problem is you still don’t get a hint after watching them. Then you have to wait so long before you can spin again and if you land in ad again it starts all over again. Very frustrating. I’d rather pay for the game and be able to get hints by doing things like most games. I def don’t recommend this one because it’s so frustrating and instead of having a good time you will get frustrated and want to throw your device out the window after watching 20 ads trying to get one hint.

🤔I love these games ...BUT....

I was eagerly anticipating Shenzhens next game - as always - because he’s the ONLY developer who’s figured out the winning formula:making an adventure game filled with continuous puzzles, mini games and hidden objects in order to escape to the next level. But rather than most escape games locked down from just one room to the next, you’re able to explore many different areas at a time, each filled with several various puzzles/mini games, many unique and interesting. And unlike the now very boring concept of almost all hidden object games, (since there’s not ONE that actually contains any items that are remotely hidden) where you’re running errands back and forth simply to unlock one object after another But in this game, the majority of Puzzles Range from Simple to Obscure to Maddeningly Complicated....🤯either too easy or so overly complex (it’s not challenging it becomes work) that the fun factor is missed. There’s also TWO versions of the game - and the one featured in the walkthroughs is NOT the U.S. Apple App Store Version. Although the basic layout and flow is the same, the other version actually contains hidden object games and other more interesting puzzles/mini games that I’d rather play.I still can’t wait to see what’s next - and hope the roll some out soon.

Review

This is by far the worst game I have ever played! JUST KIDDING!!! I have played this game for some time, and I feel that the game delivers on everything that I am looking for. I think the screen grabs are fabulous, they have nice detail, and use of color. The puzzles are solid, they are not too easy that a child could do them, and they're not so difficult as to give you a headache. The story makes sense, and there is a nice flow to the game, which gives you a tremendous amount of game play. It's a game I can relax and enjoy. Well done ladies and gentlemen. Thanks.P.S. This is my first review of a game ever. I hope it is informative and what you were looking for.

I was enjoying the game, then…

…it just broke. I reached the point in the game where I’ve awakened the sleeping Egyptian princess by repairing her necklace. A dialog starts at the bottom of the screen where she apparently is telling me about Jack, but only her first statement shows. When I touch the dialog box to continue, it just goes away. When I leave the room & return, the same thing happens. I’ve viewed a walk thru of the game, and what is supposed to happen is the dialog goes back and forth 3-4 steps then I’m given a blue heart stone. I can never get to that point. I’m now stuck unable to advance, because that tree with the moon & stars is expecting that blue heart stone. I’ve completely stopped & re-started the app as well as rebooted my iPad. The bug is in the game. Would enjoy finishing this game and would be happy to provide a positive rating if this could be fixed (quickly).

Good game, BAD puzzles

The game is really fun except for some of the puzzles. Some of them seem impossible, and I would not be surprised if they are stacked against you. Frankly, some are more pure luck and not a puzzle at all. This is especially true with the werewolf and end “puzzles”. You gain points, but there are much more points that go to the opponent, and the opponent locks certain blocks until it is literally impossible to keep playing. The worst part is this is a fun game, but it is such wasted potential when it has these rigged games or impossible puzzles (some are actual puzzles that are just extremely difficult, but some people like that challenge, so that’s more of a side note). Not to mention how difficult it is to get more than 2 free hints per day. Don’t get me wrong: it shouldn’t be easy, and the game has to make money somehow. I just think that 2 hints per day (and the clearly rigged ad wheel) is a bit too conservative, especially with some of the puzzles. Another minor issue is some of the items aren’t labeled, which makes it difficult to figure out what to do with them. I thought a glue stick was a battery for far too long haha. But again, it’s a minor issue that doesn’t affect the game’s quality too much.
