This app saves your logins without notifying you. It also offers NO means to lock access to the app via PIN or fingerprint like other Ubiquiti iOS apps. It would give this admin peace of mind being able to use the strong security features iOS provides to secure sensitive network configuration credentials. Other than the above, the app seems very nice. I admittedly have a very small network which I manage, so I cannot speak to its efficacy for maintaining larger infrastructure.
Tried to configure pair of NanoStation Loco M5s as P2P bridge with no luck. Easily allowed me to update to the latest firmware which was impressive but entering new administrative name and password during set up, reverts to ubnt upon saving then cannot log back in, says Invalid Credentials. Oddly the web interface works better with my iPad though I still can't save an administer name, at least I remain logged in. Even looks as if my two NanoStations and airGateway are all set up correctly now too although I have not as yet been able to connect to the Internet through them, D'oh!
All in all the functionality is great. I am able to use this on the go to quick config equipment, as well as log in to my UNMS server to manage existing deployments. I would like to see the ability to upload a backup to a new device, which currently is a feature that is missing. All in all a solid product.
In general, I love the remote view into my environment … however UBNT is only allowing those environments with 10 devices of their choosing to use it past a 30 day trial. Too limiting for most of us. I have over 15 UBNT devices, but only 3 qualify for this utility. Hope that changes as I could really is it as a remote access method.
I have a super simple home network consisting of an EdgeRouter X, a non-Ubiquiti switch and an non-Ubiquiti AP. I've been playing around with UNMS controller just for fun. I discovered that you can add third part devices so it's cool to see at a glance that all devices are online. Feature request: I would like to have the ability to block clients from the list of DHCP clients.
Has a bps over time graph for my router that works until you tap to a different part of the app or switch apps. After this the graph remains frozen and doesn’t change until you completely exit the app and restart it. There is a firmware update page that has only worked 1 of 4 updates I’ve tried (errors and blank screens). After getting one that worked, the “available firmware” section then showed an older version, despite clearly showing a newer version installed just above that section. The web interface is unusable from a mobile device so your stuck with this if you want to check something when out of range of a computer.
Hello , I would like to explaine my problem with > UNMS application , i was very satesfy with the version 2.3.0<<< i had access to all my devices throw DISCOVER IN NETWORK after this update i lost all my works with my devices coz the new version has no DISCOVER IN NETWORK. I tried to Redownload the old version 2.3.0 but unfortunately i could’nt . I have to travel all the time and i need it so urgently wish to help me in this issue with a link to download the version 2.3.0 or a link to arrange my devices throw it . as short as possible ..I attached everything regarding the app. With photos .thanks.
This is a very well built app but there is one big buggy issue. When you try to upgrade the router firmware via the app you cannot hit the firmware download button no matter where you tap. It just keeps being up the info screen on the firmware.Other than that it is a great app.
It would be beneficial if we could get text alerts or iPhone notifications IF a router or device fell offline. As an IT admin, sometimes it’s just needed to respond immediately before the customer actually has to call in that .... there’s no internet. Also what’s even WORSE is this new update. Everything’s gone, can’t log in, our entire workflow is gone. We can’t manage anything anymore.
I use long credentials on all my devices for both ID and password, and the login button turns off before the tokens are fully typed in. The credentials get reset to the default values, which is obviously not useful. The EdgeRouter is discovered, but the EdgeSwitch is not. When I add it manually, I run into the first problem. If there is some way of getting this to work, the insufficiency of documentation prevents me from finding that. I have dropped back to using the web interface for each device. Ubiquiti devices work, but there is zero support, and the different product lines treat each other as enemies.
The UISP app gives users a single-point device installation and management tool for Ubiquiti’s extensive line of ISP-grade products. With the app, you will be able to: • Integrate your ISP devices into the UISP controller. • Quickly and easily setup ISP devices and align links with bluetooth or a dedicated management radio. • Manage and monitor every aspect of your ISP network from a single app.
