Not user friendly at all

I would like to personally award this app the title of the most un user friendly transportation app in the nation! I travel several times per week for work, and can find most public transit apps to be fine, however this one is absolutely terrible. Please don’t make it so hard just to buy a ticket? See literally any other cities app for a better example.

Won’t scan on the bus

The app worked fine, I actually thought it was designed well and was aesthetically pleasing. But I have tried to scan the barcode twice now while boarding the bus, and both times it didn’t work. I tried many times on both rides and it just didn’t scan. This is unfortunate because the app is so convenient.

Delays a lot and crashes

This app worked great for me the first month... ever since then it has been giving me issues! It was slow, it was not connecting on 2 occasions and now it’s actually NOT allowing me to even open the app as it crashes as soon as it begins to open the screen for use. It still has my money on it and I have to continuously annoy the drivers that the app is not working. I have plenty of space on my iPhone, I have no issues with my other apps! This is literally the only one giving me issues as I’ve deleted it and reinstalled to check if the issues would stop but no it did nothing! I’m not paying for rides while my money is on the card! They should allow a method to pay using the same barcode on the actual website since they allow you to sign in to your account but that’s not the case either. That would work great for when these issues are happening so we can still have access to use the money on our accounts. Love the app, just not when I’m getting issues as this one for 1 week now

does not work

Downloaded this app to take the bus and I created an account and then went to create a card. The app glitched and I wasn’t able to make a card but now the app says that I have a card so I can’t make another. Even though I was never able to make one in the first place. I have no idea how people are able to get anywhere in this state via public transit with an app like this

Tricky but works fine

The app works fine. The interface and use takes a bit to get used to. They just need to include better instructions. Although it’s still better than getting a physical card.

Better than the old app!

The last RIPTA app for the bus didn’t let you set up auto-purchases, this one does and it seems much better.

Useless

Put $8 on a card it wouldn’t load onto the pass you need to scan. I thought it was a glitch and added another $5. Neither work and I have to walk home in the rain because the dude driving the 92 wouldn’t let me on despite having more than enough money. Not my fault the app doesn’t work. Get it together

Money Issues

This app, at first (though tricky to learn) was useful and convenient. Loads per device. Bot many alternative options. But the new update is horrible. I would load money to a device it would glitch and load it to another, or would erase my card so i would lose money. Tried to get money back but they didnt do refunds. I missed buses and wasted money because of this app and costumer service is really poor. It didnt even respond consistent, i use it one day on my device worked fine then the following day it crashed and again lost my money.

Faulty App

This app has a tendency to shut itself off when you select it to pay for fare - I have not been able to use it for the past two weeks because of this issue, and it prevents me from being able to ride the bus because this is usually the only form of payment I have on me. This is not only an inconvenience issue, but it is also an accessibility issue, in that anyone who isn’t able to drive, afford a car, orride-sharing apps needs to be able to safely and smoothly be able to access public transportation. RIPTA, this is a serious issue, and can likely be construed as an ADA violation - please fix the bugs in your app. If you want everyone to switch over to using WAVE, you need to ensure that the app actually works. I should not have to uninstall this app, reinstall it, and sign back in every time I want to use it. What is the point?

RIPTA is a crook!

Don’t waste time or money on this app- nothing about this app is easy. Every time I add money, which has to be a minimum of 6 dollars every time my funds are taken and I can’t get on the bus. RIPTA is no help- I’m forwarded to line after line and hung up on many times. In total I’ve had to dispute $50 dollars with my bank over this crummy app. Should of stuck to the first app you let riders use- it was SO much simpler.
