App good (...fire bad)

I checked out a handful of similar apps and found this one to have the best mix of simplicity, data tracking, customization. I like that a given workout is laid out as one straightforward page, so you don’t have to go in and out of each exercise while you’re logging them. I also like that the your history is readily accessible from within an active workout, which makes progressive overload a lot easier. It’s easy to look at the statistics for a variety of useful factors over different time scales (volume per workout, volume per muscle group or specific exercise, number of reps or sets per X, etc). I could nitpick a few minor things (it’s crashed a couple of times, without losing anything), but it’s a very solid, smartly designed app that I expect to rise in popularity, especially since the developer is responsive to feedback and always improving it.

Use this app if you are dedicated and like seeing progress and statistics

I’ve literally never written an app review before but since I started using this app it makes keeping stats on my lifts and EVERYTHING so much easier. The premium of $8/yr is ridiculously underpriced for the value you get and it is much easier to use than other similar apps. I have thought about wanting to make something like this for a long time and have sorta tried on excel but I’m thankful this app found a place on my home screen. All in all I’ve found zero faults with the app and have had a great experience with it. Underrated for sure, I’ve never heard of anyone else using this app. Something I’m excited to check out is the “Export to excel” feature. Great job 👌🏻

Will always use this app

I discovered this app on tiktok and was hesitant at first because I thought it would be like the other apps. Have to pay for more access just to input your workouts but I was completely wrong. Repcount is straight to the point and I love that it shows demonstration of some of the exercises which was very helpful for me. Repcount doesn't force you to get the premium version and you honestly wouldn’t need it if you are a novice or barely exercise. Repcount has me sold so I will be getting the premium version due to the price being good and how well the app runs. Keep up the good work Simon this is the best exercise tracker on the App Store!

A few additions would make this perfect!

I’ve tried probably every other fitness logging app out there and this is the first one worth buying. It’s a simple and clean way to track your routines. A couple of issues:1) I do a HIIT workout that incorporates battle ropes. It’s strength conditioning and cardio. When I try to create a custom exercise, I have to choose whether it’s a strength or cardio exercise. When I choose strength, it will allow me to enter the weight of the rope (24lbs) but the only option to log the action is in reps. I don’t count reps, the exercise is timed. Conversely, if I try to log the exercise as a cardio exercise, it will track the time, but not track the weight used. Very frustrating as I do a lot of work with battle ropes. There doesn’t seem to be an easy way to log this or similar cardio/strength hybrids. Please give us some more options here! :)2) I track my calories burned while wearing a heart rate monitor. It would be great to have the ability to add the calories I burned to a particular workout. Those are my only two critiques and hope the developers see this and consider implementing these small enhancements into a future update. Thank you!

Exactly what I want

I don’t think I’ve ever written a review for an app but feel compelled to because this one is so spot on for what I was looking for. I am someone who would bring a workout routine book to the gym and write in all of my exercises, weights, and reps by hand. Then copy the data over to excel and look at the progress. This app is the PERFECT substitute. It’s very cleverly designed, it’s very simple and intuitive to how to log a training session, and then there is a huge layer of complexity underneath it all that allows you to look deeper at whatever tiny detail you want. I absolutely love it. THANK YOU to whoever designed this app, there are so many fitness apps out there doing way too much and this one just hits it out of the park for people who are serious about training and logging their progress. 10/10

Fantastic

Best tracking app I’ve found so far! I think I will pay for the upgrade, but there’s two improvements I’d love to see after just using it for a few days. First, I’d love to have the option to log a strength/bodyweight exercise by either time or reps, as I do a lot of calisthenics, which includes a lot of static holds. Second, I’m not a huge fan of the exercise categories. For one, I don’t know why it is required that you choose a category for each exercise you add. Also, I’d like to have broader categories, as well as the option to select specific muscles. And maybe the option to select primary and secondary muscles (i.e. close grip bench press targets both triceps and chest). Overall, fantastic app though!

Game Changer

I’m 5 months into without missing a single day at the gym and I attribute it to this app. This app is was/is a game changer for me. I used to just wing my weights and never could commit to progressive overload because I didn’t have a good system of tracking. I looked into different options and the simple yet complex UX design of this app is amazing. You can tell the developer studied every move of the customer journey. I could easily jump in and use this app without having to understand all the layers of it. I started with the free version for two months and it was perfect. Once I was lifting more I wanted to see my progress so I purchased it. When you purchase it, the statistics and tracking make lifting much more motivating. This app adds accountability and an element of structured fun that makes follow through more attainable. I will never not use this app. I would love a way to have plate counting element on the app because if I’m not in this app I’m using my calculator. Probably not necessary but fun to consider!

Great app but has space for improvement

I love the simple UI of it and how straight forward it is. Easy to use and logging a workout in is a no brainer. I love the fact that you can add your own exercises to the app as well which is very useful and gives you freedom to expand your workouts. 2 major things that I believe could use some fixing. 1: Their is no option to add exercises into supersets and tri-sets. Extremely vital in my workouts. Makes it more tedious to add in reps and weight per exercise. 2: After you finish the workout theirs really no clear “End workout” option to show that you finished your workout. It’s sort of left open. Just as their is a start button, their should be a end option to automatically log in your end time for the workout. Other than that, it’s a great app. Have no complaints! Keep up the good work guys!

Best app for tracking weightlifting!

I am a 49 yo female and a beginner at weightlifting. I really needed an app that could show me what the last thing I did was, how many reps, and with how much weight. I tried a few apps and they totally sucked. I was using my iphone notepad for a while and that was just too hard to gauge my improvements. Then I found this app. I started out using the free version which worked totally fine for what I needed, but I loved it so much and the price was so affordable, I decided to upgrade to premium. The only thing that would be super helpful, is if the charts showed the various exercises by name and how the weight was increased over each set and day.

Love this App!

First off, this is probably the best workout app out there. I’m glad I found it. There’s a lot of positives about it such as, adding any kind of exercises, and the timer countdown. Lastly, if I could make a suggestion for improvement. If there is a way to have individual folders to put the routines in to keep things organized. For instance, when there is a workout plan you want to create you title the folder the name of the workout plan, then click into it to add the routines. Maybe color coordinate to indicate the one your currently working on, or something along those lines. Some suggestions to keep it improving! Keep up the great work!
