Buggy
Every time I do a batch edit, I have to enter certain detail to every photo individually which defeats the purpose of a batch edit. Most of the time it’s too buggy to remember the keywords so those have to be entered for each picture as well. One of many bugs that make what could be a quick process, a long and tedious task.
Supports my work
This app saves me a lot of time/effort when uploading and key wording images to iStock new design is a big help too for locating briefs I wish to participate with
Definitely scam
So I have applied and submitted some of my work and they say that they are going to get back to me within 3-5 days if my work has been approved and that they would provide me with login in information. I have waited and waited for response than finally I send email to ask if they accepted my work but they responded was that it was not now I don’t have access even to to take down the photograph that I uploaded even. It definitely scammers that are taking advantage of people works.
Good app! Minor UI issues
This app works great for us contributors. The one minor UI complaint I would have.. if the devs would search for the app and launch it that way.. iOS has a link to “get back to where you were before”.. (and it doesn’t have to be SEARCH.. it could be Safari bouncing the user into the app..etc).. while that “go back” link is there, if one goes into a brief.. the arrow in the UI is really really close to the iOS “go back” link. It is difficult to get out of the Brief if that “go back” link is there.
Great for photo hobbyists
If you have photography this is quite handy to make some pocket money. The left tab is full of requests for content, which is great if you’re looking for your next project to shoot.
Crashes frequently
Love this app and the concept of being a contributor HOWEVER the app crashes every time I try to log in. I haven’t been able to log in for months at this point. Really hoping this can be fixed. Outside of that I love the app and love being a contributor!
Not user friendly
It’s ridiculous that you have to download their app to be able to apply and join the contributor at Getty Images. Why are you not letting us apply directly on browser on our computer which could make the process easier? The App is useless and make a lot simple steps complicated.
Stupid app
I’ve uploaded some of my images to sign in but they were declined. I was very confused and compared my photos with ones that were in the app and most of my images were the same, if not better, quality. I don’t recommend this app because they may use your images even after rejection of the application and you won’t get money for that.Also in the mail that was sent to me they were recommending me to resend the application to understand what they do want. Why?! This is so stupid!!!
HORRIBLE
This app is SOOOOOOOO insanely slow and sluggish it renders it completely useless. When I click on the plus sign to add a pic, it takes over thirty seconds just to bring up my photo album and then it cannot even scroll through all my albums....total waste of time junk app. Not professionally made at all. I would expect more from Getty....the “leader” in stock photography.
Great tool keeping up to date
Tool is getting better and better every time with ease to upload Mobile content and also managing a vast array of information at your fingertips regarding contributing to iStock and Gettyimages.
