Great way to build vocabulary

I'm really glad to see an update. Suggestion to developers: When you move to next puzzle, you are shown the whole solution. There should be some way to clearly show which words were completed, perhaps different color. You show it now with bold font but it's difficult to see the difference.

Awesome, paid up front so no annoying ads

Love this game. I play it almost every day. Some people mentioned the weird words but that makes it interesting if sometimes frustrating. It’s one of my favorites. I love that I payed for it up front and don’t have to endure all those awful ads that interrupt all the other games. Those drive me crazy and that is the biggest reason I enjoy this game so much. I would rarely play it if it had ads. I recommend it frequently to people, even if I don’t even know them beyond a simple conversation.

Still fun

Yeah, the dictionary used for the game is a bit weird and it doesn't allow perfectly good words if they are even remotely close to being PG-13, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the game. I was very surprised to see the recent update because it had literally been years since the last one. I assumed the developers had moved on but glad to see I was wrong.

Whirly isn’t all it should be

I’ve been playing this game for a few years and have found that certain words are foreign words, yet if I try a commonly used word other than an English word it won’t work. Many very obscure words are Arabic and never used by anyone not fluent in those languages. Too often I try words that are rejected only to find them when I go to the next round. It’s totally frustrating!

No ads!

I used to play another game faithfully- but recently I have been horrified at some of the violent and inappropriate ads I saw while playing that game. It was counterproductive to the very reason I was playing the game! - Which is to relax and have fun! Whirly Word allows me to do just that. I love it and appreciate it SO MUCH!

Addicted

Yep. That pretty much sums it up. I've had a lot of fun using the abridged word list so now I'm rocking the tournament one. This is the only game that offers two word lists in the options and you end up with massive amounts of puzzles between the two of them. I'm getting better at scrabble and actually beat my husband for the first time! He's a walking talking encyclopedia but lost gracefully. There are words in it from different religions such as Christian, Judaism, Budism, Islam, etc. If you are closed-minded, a bigot or a racist then you will be just as offended by this game as you must be by the common dictionary. But if you just want to have fun exploring words, than you’ll love this game!

The best!

I’ve had this game since it first launched on the App StoreIt never disappoints! Amazing range of words.I’ve read some of the reviews that some words don’t come up when spelled...it’s not that the game doesn’t recognize the words, it’s what words were preselected for that particular game.Also, someone had mentioned “the words are not of any language.” NOT TRUE!! Try tapping the word that you couldn’t figure out. The dictionary will explain the word. Clearly this is an ALL LANGUAGE word game. On top of that, add in medical language. I absolutely love it!!!

Nice Word Finder Puzzler

I just realize that I’ve been playing this game for several years, through several generations of iPhones, set the least I could do would be to give them a review. The spinning wheel format isn’t an obvious choice for scrambling letters but it works well two stimulate your brain into identifying patterns. I appreciate it’s having a dictionary to identify unfamiliar words when the puzzle is solved.

Still fun after all these years

I have had this app through multiple generations of iPhones and still play it regularly. I like that it has no trouble remembering where you left off. My only complaint is frustration with a number of words it has omitted from its dictionary.

Good but sometimes frustrating

Great game, but with various oddities. Oddities with words allowed and not allowed, but the most interesting thing... the thing that really should function 100% of the time is that sometimes the puzzle score, when added to the previous score does not result in a score which is the sum of the two. The developers do not care. Somewhere there is an error in the tally engine. The result is that the score in some way fictitious. So, interesting game with no accurate score.
