Game still needs a bit tweaking

I’ve played for a few days. I really wanted to like the game but there were some noticeable issues. Players get way more exp than needed in the early levels which cause the bulletin board issues when I wanted to turn in orders for coins. For example, I had still had to build buildings for my current level but I didn’t have coins yet. By the time I got the coins, I leveled again and there were more buildings I had to buy. The reason why I had to buy those buildings was because all the new bulletin board quests were were from the new level up. So if the rune building got unlocked from the level then all the bulletin board orders would be from that. This made the game sucked because there were no orders I can complete. It honestly stressed me out because I was trying to play catch up all the time.

A new classic

I would describe myself as a typical p2w gamer. Im 23 and I have played numerous games where the sole goal is to base build and be the first one out there to hit certain power, level, heroes etc. This games curbs all of that. In a word it is simply phenomenal. The lack of ability to truly p2w is great. There is one p2w feature of their premium monthly membership. In buying this, you are getting 15% speed on all activities and your lil Vikings heal themselves over time (a well worthwhile investment should you be interested in playing longer term). You cannot however, speed up individual upgrades with gems or complete things before their timers are up. This leads to more time spend in game or at the very least more checkups on queuing more things to craft, build, plant, harvest, farm you name it. I truly enjoy this game and hope that it continues to improve! Minor improvements:- change the house image with level- allow the Vikings to be renamed- some semblance of pvp (arena or something)- have a guild/clan function —- in the discord there are Loki/Thor/Odin roles but they mean nothing rn- some type of timed/daily bosses

Amazing. Nostalgic. Positively addictive. Perfect.

This is an amazing game, like another review said, it was oddly nostalgic, simple rpg and semi-automatic gameplay (probably wrong term) is wonderful, along with the strategic fighting and need to keep food producing if you fight in dungeons or the "campaign", I guess, a lot. Normally I get bored of some games that are slow in progress but stay tied to them because well I already made progress and just can't put that effort to waste, but this one is enjoyable and makes me addicted in a way I'm okay with, I hope this keeps getting more recognition and grows plenty further, just don't overwork yourself, if people want to complain that one man can't do this or that quickly, screw them, they can't understand how hard it is to fix bugs and glitches by yourself. My review was a mess but I felt happy with it so I just didn't bother to be formal... I mean to be fair who wants to?

Well deserved of it’s rating

Having had the game for a couple days now, this may be my favorite ever IOS game, full stop. Simple yet challenging gameplay, simple graphics, and Viking-themed. How fun! Also, there are very few ads, and none forced (or shadow-forced). But, probably my favorite part is what others have complained about; how you can’t speed anything up and everything takes time. After 4-5 minutes, you kind of run out of things to do, but this forces me to put the phone down! A fun game that will NOT keep you playing for hours on end. 100% worth the download

Really fun and addicting but a few issues.

Really like the art and the simple story. The controls feel nice and the tutorials are quick enough. I don’t know if there is a way to fix this but the clan name I chose is half under the Exp bar (name too big?). The biggest issue I have though is the fact that the screen does not fit my iPad. It isn’t noticeable while playing the game, but when dialogue (like the tutorials) pop up, wizard dude is definitely partly off screen. Also, for the New Game area, I swear the first word looks like it says “Nb” instead of “No.” If that is intentional, I have no clue what that stands for.

Great Casual Game

I’ve enjoyed the time that I’ve spent with this game. I’ve been playing for about a week and enjoyed the steady progression. I haven’t felt too stuck, whenever I need more gold there are plenty of bounties that I can complete which give me a good direction to plan what to grow and craft.I also appreciate the opt-in nature of ads for gems. It is totally optional, but is a great reward over time that keeps me checking in at least once a day. The biggest pain point that I’ve run into is with bottlenecks in production. For example, when you unlock the weapon and armor smiths, your carpenter is incredibly overworked between making bowls for food and planks/sticks for upgrading buildings and crafting armor. It would be nice if some pressure was released around these bottlenecks allowing me to continue to grow without being slowed down by one production building.

Solid game, few tweaks

This game is honestly phenomenal, the base building is simple but fun same with the raid mechanics. The only thing I’d like to see changed is some of the crafting times for items. For instance, if you want to make 1 stick it takes 30 minutes and making a whole plank takes 20 which seems somewhat backwards. And the empty rune-stone which in my mind is essentially just a rock takes 20 minutes. I feel a lot of the times could be decreased or just adjusted slightly nothing too drastic as the progression still feels good if just like to be able to sit there and grind for a little bit but the food timers makes me take at least a 20 minute break from the game because all my Vikings are dead. Edit: BOWLS. You should get a bowl back when you consume a food that is in a bowl.Edit2: new textures for increased levels of houses and crafting stations would be a great addition

Patience.

If you have the following subject I titled the review with, then congrats. You’ll love this game. I have no forking problem shilling out money to give to the game, especially when it’s a good game! And this is a good game, but I can’t wait 8 hours to make a life saving pie. Or a head piece to wear to get through the next village. I don’t have the patience. Also I’m not willing to keep on paying if it’s wash/rinse/repeat every new town. If you like waiting, boy howdy will you go far. I paid for an extra hut, an extra villager, and got extra gems. I would have paid more but it’s fleeting. And I don’t mean you get a fleet. It gets you through the minimum to pacify you. Which is just through that last run, that last item to craft, the last LITERAL STICK you need made to craft a sword. You know how long it takes to craft a stick? FIND OUT! Enjoy the wait!

Fun, light, and plenty to do!

I’m not usually a mobile gamer, in fact, I rarely find a mobile game that can hold my attention, or meet my expectations. Pixel Tribes when above and beyond those expectations. Farming, Carpentry, Foraging, Cooking, Raids, and Vikings! There’s a lot to enjoy, and the game has a good interconnection between the tasks to keep things interesting. I honestly enjoy the idle farming/crafting mechanics more than the raids. The raids are your standard turn based “JRPG” style of combat. That’s generally a turnoff for me, but the lengthy skill tree and intuitive menu made me open up, and enjoy it! Great job by the team that made this. Wishing y’all great success on your future endeavors :)

Works Well - Lots of Fun!

I’ve been checking out a lot of games lately & approached this one with the usual suspicion. The graphics are cute but I wasn’t sure there was enough substance/strategy for my current mood. After an hour or so of not paying attention, I discovered how the vikings’ skill points/ability system works. Example: if you put 5 points into “Fighter”, it immediately unlocks the Fighter 5 skills. Same for “Mage” & so on. Also, you can replay old raids to gain XP & “War Fragments” (costs a little in-game gold) so you can try out different abilities without remorse. I’ve been playing a couple of days now & haven’t encountered any glitches. It’s a lot of fun with no pay walls so far. Probably the most generous devs I’ve seen in a long time. You get premier currency occasionally from productions, quests, etc. I gained enough from 10ish hours of play to buy the VIP membership for a week = +XP, +worker speed, & passive health regen. (There seems to be only 1 level of membership.) Yeah… good game - well done - kudos to the devs - recommended.
