Great game

I love this game, I have been playing it for about 6 months. The developer is very active and adding new content. It seems like it’s a small team so new content isn’t necessary 100% perfect but it’s still great. I usually quit hero collectors after 3-4 weeks, it’s the perfect mix of hero collector with idle defense. One comment to developers: there are lots of stats to consider in the game and there are limited tool tips about what the stats do. For example: My +Crit chance is 3327, what does that mean? Is it an extra 3% chance to crit or something worse?. More transparency on character stats would help make team and equipment decisions more informed.

Five star even with the glitch

Love this game, my favorite daily time waster. Did discover one small glitch which might just be a misunderstanding. The description says the game is totally offline and can be played without network connectivity, but I discovered that the timers don’t roll over properly if my phone happens to lack service, which is disappointing. Some of the game is still playable without network, but anything that is limited per day stays gone until you connect again. Really slows down progress.

Fun game

Game is good. Only one complaint. The enchanting of archer gear is either broken or rigged. 60% basic success actually comes out to less then 15% when tracked on paper. The +40% that the stones give you increases it technically to %100 percent. This is obviously not the case. It’s around 60%. I have wasted hundreds of scrolls and dozens of stones to try to get to +12. I’ve only been successful once on a 1 star A bow. I an using 3 star C bow instead because the enchantment stats are higher thenthe 2 star A that ate all my scrolls and stones . Probably not gonna waste my time and resources on it. Broken.

Best of its kind.

This game has a lot of depth to it, multiple progression systems and several mechanics that allows progression without making the experience frustrating. This is the most F2P friendly game I have ever played on mobile, the only semi-mandatory purchase is the removal of ads but once you do this you are good to go. The game does have a lot of in-app purchases but the late game of it is so rewarding that anything that you buy in your first 10k stages will be completely inconsequential. As a small addition, this game has a great community in its discord server, which you can find on the game’s subreddit.

A great little game

First off I very much appreciate the option to disable ads! My one critique so far is how hard it is to tell what tier a hero is. For example I can’t tell from the shop if I’m buying parts for an S rank or just a B rank hero. Especially when spending gems, that’s really not cool. Even from the hero screen you have to tap each one and search by name to tell who is what tier. A tier/rank icon of some sort on the store page and the hero info page would be appreciated, or better yet just on the hero page with the ability to check the hero page from the store link. Thanks!

Well polished game, limited decision making

Everything in this game looks great and feels great to play. The monetization is mostly ads that feel non-intrusive, the real world transaction shop is so inefficient it prices out everyone but whales, and they give you an option to opt out of all ads with a one time purchase, which I would recommend for anyone enjoying this game.That said, this game suffers from a big problem: there aren’t any meaningful decisions being made in team composition.Essentially, you just want to put out your best heroes at all times to maximize damage out and minimize damage in. The combination of heroes does not matter, because they don’t interact except in the minor debuffs on enemy monsters. Even in the Portal which debuffs your types of damage or mitigation is irrelevant; optimizing for the challenge might push you forward one level, but the reward is so small compared to just maintaining and waiting for your other stats to get there. I feel like this can be partially fixed by providing meaningful buffs based on the number of heroes of each “class” deployed (archer, warrior, wizard, whatever) or some other commonality, which would encourage mixing and matching of heroes, make the non S/A tier heroes less useless, and give this game a little depth.I’d still recommend this game to anyone interested. The game is still beautiful, the developers appear motivated and progression feels exciting, albeit a bit unimaginative.

The ‘small’ details.

I’ve been playing this for about a month or so and in that time I have received quite a few gems in my inbox. Obviously thanks for the gems they are handy and I use them all the time, but truly thank you for whoever is sending out cool update information. These come in far more frequently than I thought they would. As for the rest of the game it’s also great. I’m having a good time and have a good play style down that fits my day to day. I can’t wait to see where this game goes. Thank you all who are involved. Yes, even you James!

Not bad for a mobile game

First off I want to state I have only spent ~$20 on this game and have played it for over 6 months. I enjoy it but would recommend as starting off as a new player there needs to be a more recognizable way to indicate what does what but it comes over time anyways. I will say the runes are more of an issue to me since I think the sequence of level to tier is a little harsh especially when you are trying to take over territory or push towards a higher level for on the regular idle levels. I do really enjoy this game and hope some great changes will be made!

Game is great but one FATAL flaw

Love the game. Thoroughly enjoying it even as free to play, however- there is one MASSIVE flaw which prevents me from spending a cent on it; the “targeting system” or lack there of. Your units will literally walk right past a boss (sometimes multiple times) that’s directly attacking the castle to attack a single unit with 2 hits left, etc. it is an absolute mess. There is no way to prioritize or customize targets as in most tower defense games, i.e. closest to tower, highest hp, etc. you will fail countless missions you have more than enough firepower to complete because your units wander around aimlessly (castle archers are equally as worthless). You may be lucky in getting an AOE unit to aggro the boss but it’s few and far between. Other than that- which is major problem, is a good game.

Great game

This is a great game. You have tasks each day you can get some to level up your castle and heroes. As you learn the gsme there’s plenty to do each day manually and when you want you can set the battles to auto and let it run. My only complaints are (1) we need more things to do, different battle types. (2) The cost to increase a units level is way to high compared to the material given. We need a way to get more spirit stuff so we can level the hero’s up.
