Creative - but...

I enjoy the theme and experience the app brings during gameplay.Though I wish there were some extra few features that would allow me to not do any specific scenario.Just try to build and explore and crest a sustained colony.I’m looking for the Freeplay or some version of a free game.

Music on/off needed!

I know you just added music, but please let us turn it off without muting all sounds! Also can we add an option to assign turn order and an option for the basic FAQ from all screens - so we don't have to leave a game to see it? Awesome board game - we just need a few minor app tweaks needed!

Good so far

What to tap when viewing each Event screen is ambiguous since "Done" and "Close" are used interchangeably in standard conversation. When you tap an event that your pawns are going to resolve, the button you then tap to clear the event should be labeled "Resolve" or "Clear" or something. Currently it says "Done" but that is ambiguous because you might click Done to mean you are done reading the event but are not clearing it. The "Close" button should likewise be renamed to "Back" or similar. Also please let us add our own photos into the digital character cards since you gave us the option to print them like that.

It’s a lot at first

But it’s pretty fun once you settle into it. As others have said, some verbiage could be improved on buttons. The app does badly need to be updated for iPhone X series devices, though. The notch and rounded corners cut off the titles and some buttons.

Problem with language

App could be better without adult language.

Text cut off on iPhone 10 and up

Works as long as you don’t care what it has to say, because the text and interface buttons are cut off on my phone. The app is necessary to play the game, so I haven’t been able to seriously try the board game because I can’t tell what’s happening.

Huge battery hog

The app works alright. I have a iPhone 12 mini and only charge my phone every other day. This app drained my whole battery in a few hours (even by constantly turning the screen off). It also heats up your phone like crazy, it’s been years since I’ve used an app that makes my phone get that hot, and that was a fighting game with very detailed 3D models. The app is functional but could use a log, so you could check previous effects that could still be in effect or when something comes back to bite you, it would be nice to know what decision you made. All around it’s ok and required to play the game. Too bad it isn’t optimized.

Description

This is a First Martians board game free companion app. You need it to play the game. It features hundreds of events and adventures for great replayability.

Through text and sound, the app tells you the story of first Martians and challenges you with tasks and obstacles. Immerse yourself in the presented world. Built on the core of the award-winning Robinson Crusoe: Adventure on the cursed island, First Martians: Adventures on the red planet pits players against the hostile Martian environment and a whole host of new adventures and challenges. The immersion experience is further enhanced with an integrated app that maintains the balance and challenge throughout . Players have the option of taking on the design as a series of separate games, in custom campaign mode in which each successive game builds on the last, or even an open world mode in which they are free to roam about the Martian surface and explore for as long as they can survive. WARNING: In order not to spoil your experience, do not explore the app if you do not intend to actually play the game.
