Good, but...

The app is decent for a quick enhancement of your face. You can make your skin smoother, brighter...uh, more colorful? And change the size of features such as eyebrows, nose, lips, and eyes. But something very substantial is missing, and that is face reshaping. Facetune is one of, if not the best mobile app out there for editing your selfies because of the reshape/ability to make the face slimmer. There are other apps(that aren’t as good) that do this in video, so I know it’s not impossible. So I beg you guys! Please add this! I already have a year subscription for the normal app, and was going to get one for this app too until I saw that it didn’t have that feature! If you add it, yes I will probably buy pro! But for now...it isn’t worth it.

Too glitchy

I thought this was gonna be an excellent idea and love the original face tune editor app but for some reason the video can’t seem to catch onto the edits and makes my videos look very glitchy. I am a permanent make up artist and like to smooth the skin out in some of my photos and it looks like flashes of light are on my video and on their face the whole time. Some parts where I have smoothed out the skin and when they’re turning their head in the video it’s their non-edited skin. So I thought maybe it’s because they had a mask on and cropped the video so there was no mask anymore just their face and still the same issue. Glad I caught a three day window to cancel my subscription!

Pretty straight forward video editor

Now I never thought to edit my videos, but I thought I try since I use Facetune 2 frequently. The walkthrough in the beginning is very useful and makes learning the app features easy. My only complaint is the pricing should be lower. I feel like maybe only influencers could afford to pay this price for this app when there are other apps that are free and are coming out with even more video editing features. This app has a lot of potential, but allow your fan base to discover and play around with the apps cools features without charging an arm and a leg.

It’s a good start...

And the results can be dramatic. The feature that’s most effective is “looks”. It's keeps all the modifications you made to a clip, so if you have multiple clips, all of the changes will be faster and pretty consistent. Unfortunately, I’ve had some sync issues, exported files frequently have audio out of sync by about a half second. That needs to be fixed, I haven’t been able to isolate which features seem to cause it more often. And what’s desperately needed is the ability to isolate an area, blemishes or areas you want to correct, because everything is a universal change. Until that’s available, you’re stuck with smoothing a face when all you want to smooth is one area. It’s already tracking automatically, shouldn’t be so hard to let the user isolate and track that.

Love to the face to an app. But not this video one

I mean there are a lot of things sometimes you want to like change the size of reshape in pictures or delete. And you really can’t do that with this app it’s literally should just be a free add onto your VIP members of the face tune app which I already have I just bought a year subscription but I’m canceling already today because there’s no way I want it in a year. Unless you can have all the same features of the face tune picture app where are you can you know delete objectsThere’s a lot of things you guys could do to this app to make it better right now it definitely shouldn’t be at all being charged

Not what you think

This is not really for editing videos. It doesn’t do what I would thought it would. I have used it 1x and I am bound to the ridiculous payment. I do not recommend this app. There are better editing apps that you can actually change the lighting or the background and make rally cool videos. This is just for selfies and you have plenty of IG and Snapchat filters that have more capabilities for free. All the Facetune apps fall short of performance when it comes to the claims they make. I also noticed it literally just blurs your face out so you don’t look like yourself. Which is cheesy. People know what you look like. When I see over editing I literally will not like the photo or video on social media and I will skip past the persons profile permanently until they start looking closer to themselves.

Never works

Okay, hear me out. I love FaceTune but I’m not about to pay for it at my age when I have no money. It’s a great app. Just to set that straight. But something that has NEVER worked in any of the facetune apps is the little “try” bubbles. Like I do what I want and click the check mark. And then the payment thing pops up. It makes me mad how I need to start the free trial in order to try something that should already work without it. And even if I started the free trial what’s the purpose of making the “try” thing an option if it doesn’t work? Please fix this or let me know what I’m doing wrong.

Great but disappointing at the same time

I just purchased the lifetime. Great. So far I love the way it works. But now I’m vexed. After purchasing it, I get an ad and there is one that includes both video and photo editing and another that offers filters. I am not purchasing all of them, but I would have purchased the video photo one instead of the one I have. Wouldn’t it have made better sense to update one or offer the most recent free to lifetime purchasers. This is disappointing. I don’t even know how to star it. I would suggest anyone looking at this app, go for Facetune 2 instead.

Bought the Lifetime Access and Returned in Seconds

I bought the lifetime access because I love the photo app so much. I didn’t even think I would have to test this app before going all in. I was wrong! You can’t take a video from the app itself. You do it on your phone, upload it, and then edit it. As someone who has body dysmorphia, seeing myself in unedited video can be triggering since selfies often distort your appearance. I use FT to make minor edits, like reducing the nose size just a bit since a selfie distorts that which is closest to the camera. Also, when you do an in-app video via the photo app, it makes a mirror image which is how I’m use to seeing myself. The video app does not even allow you to flip the video to mirror image. This app used to be very therapeutic, but not anymore.

Awesome concept, but a lot of room for improvement

I like the idea but I think the execution needs work. The facial filters don't really work when the camera isn't focused on the face the same way throughout the whole video. Otherwise the filter kind of flickers a bit and it makes it really obvious. Also, the light/overlay effects should definitely have adjustable intensity. I think they could be more realistic as well. None of them are very realistic but in particular I am speaking of the lens-flare/light effect type ones. I think once y'all can fix those a lot of people (including myself) will want to use them on every single video on their phone lol. I definitely use the light effects from Facetune 2 way more than I should. Lastly, it should have more filters and options/ways to edit the photo. I'd like to see HSL and split tone features. I don't think it would be that much more difficult to apply those to videos. I think once the developers are able to get these things done, this app will be extremely successful, maybe more successful than Facetune for photos.
