Very inaccurate app
Very inaccurate app. You can add at least 45 minutes to an hour to the numbers. I would never depend on planning anything with this app. You definitely will be late! Especially in busy ports of entry.
Crashes
The app crashes when trying to add favorites. The app works ok but it lags at time. Going to give it a few more chances. I’ll update if improved or I’ll delete it.
This is garbage that caused me so much lost time
I’m literally writing this review while waiting in line at the Ysleta border crossing in Juarez and I’ve been looking up the the wait times before and during my wait but it was totally inaccurate! It said wait time would be 25 minutes and I’ve literally been waiting here over 1 and a half hours and i estimate another 35 minutes!!! I’m so livid right now and i just hope i will make it over the bridge with less than 1/8 tank of gas! I will never rely on this app again. I don’t think they have any sort of mechanism to confirm the wait times from the beginning of the line to the end as I don’t think they have the technology in place. You would be better off looking at Google maps and looking at the traffic patterns there!
The worst of the worst
This app is meets just about every negative stereotype of poor government handling. Have been in Baja 4 months and made multiple trips back to San Diego via San Ysidro and this app has never ever been even close to accurate wait times for drivers. The expats of Baja don’t even bother keeping it on their phones because it’s that unreliable, according to their Facebook group. I’m sure they start counting the wait time at some arbitrary point, but who knows where that is. All I know is when it says 90 minutes it actually means somewhere around 4 hours. Trusting this app was a grave error, I didn’t think it could possibly be THAT wrong. But oh it was, and it was the closest I have come to peeing my pants since I was a toddler. The pedestrian crossing seemed accurate. I added one star for that and the decent user interface. It could benefit enormously from a map view guiding you to the correct lane and explanations as to which lane to use (shortcuts/links to Ready Lane requirements, Sentri, RTC)
Wrong info and times
This app is not accurate. I wonder where they get their information from. I cross thru san ysidro and otay and its never accurate. App days 90 minutes but more like 490 minutes. lol what a waste of space
Your tax dollars not at work
Times are only for wait on American side, not other side. They close the gates to keep times low, to make the bureaucrats look good. Often lines of 4 hours or more while wait times, say 20 minutes
Inaccurate
Got to the border at 5:15pm. App said the wait for passenger general line was 240, 4 hours. Didn’t cross until 2:15am, a total of 9 hours. Horrible. Might as well turn the app off since it is unreliable. This is not the first time the app is inaccurate. Frustrating.
Completely inaccurate
This app is just another example of how badly mismanaged borders ports with Mexico are. I don’t even know how they estimate the wait times but it’s never been accurate except maybe once. Even the Sentri lane is 3x to 4x as long as it usually estimates it. They could actually have times as fast as this app calculates but the traffic flow at the San Ysidro border is awfully mismanaged and the agents are always creating unnecessary bottlenecks.
Handy. Web version has more info and more timely.
BWT -APP- has current wait times and historic usage wait graphs (still showing non-covid wait times).BWT -WEB- has current wait times, near term historic wait times (showed covid times), summary of crossing waits near each other (eg Niagara), some real-time camera views, and a bit more location info. Both are geared toward frequent crossers. If you are an infrequent crosser, both are really lacking in location info. Except in a few cases, you cant even tell what state the crossing is in or its location. Look up the name beforehand - warning: it may have multiple names, but BWT only uses one. Even a general map would be useful, the ability to list by state, or just the state listed near the name. Being able to quickly choose alternatives crossings would help. Even without that, the data is accurate and not hard, but not quick if the crossings are new to you. Just a bit too much unnecessary goofing around when tiny changes would help.

Works half the time, you can’t view the details or add favorites. Can’t recommend it to anyone needing something reliable. Easier to use safari than the app
