Customer service doesn’t answer

I use this app all the time and overall it’s pretty good. Recently I logged out on accident but when I tried to log back in my account was locked because of “to many failed attempts” even though all my login info was correct. I tried to contact customer service and was sent to a page where you put your info in and they will email you to help but I haven’t gotten an actual response, instead I get an email in my spam folder saying my request was “unable to be delivered” yet they have no problem emailing me every month when it’s time to charge for the premium plan.

App crashes a lot

About a week ago, there was an update to the app. Now it keeps on crashing while in Mexico if not connected to WiFi.Before the update, the app was very reliable. Pros:inexpensive, lots of cameras/angles, and automatic notifications available. Cons: crashes, all cámaras update every 10-15 minutes only, pedestrian camera angles are poor, and it only provides information to two border crossing.

Reliable overall great

Recently had problems with my account and reached out to them through the app. They responded to me the same day and fixed the issue I had super quickly. I have been using it for about 2 years as we cross frequently and this is the most reliable app I’ve found so far. I strongly recommend and would suggest to give them a chance.

Reliable however, need cameras in Tecate Border

With 2 or 3 cameras at the Tecate Border this app would surely grow by a number of thousands if no. tens of thousands of subscribers, so many peopleAre in need. If no one does it soon I might invest in wireless cameras 3 would be enough and placed at local homes for a profit and that would surely make me thousands and at the same time it would help many. Still you provide a great service thank you.

Great app-Use the cameras

I live in Tijuana but cross the border 3-5 times a week. I have a Global Entry Card and use the Sentri Lanes. My house is pretty much equidistant from San Ysidro and Otay. On days I need to cross, I check the app before leaving home. Usually Otay has the lower crossing wait time. However, Otay wait time only goes to 19 minutes plus. It can be longer. The golden part of this app is the cameras. Let’s face it, wait time has a lot of variables. For instance, how many gates are open at any point in time. CBP will flex to open up to 4 Sentri lanes at Otay, or may only be using one. Then there is the question of how many cars are coming in at what rate. Add to that your drive time to the border and what can change. And lastly, what is time between app’s estimated wait time refresh. Cameras give me a better feel for wait time. By the way, the cameras help me know which is better route to use to get there. I have two main routes to Otay. But if TJ police shut down the left turn from Belles Artes, then you need to go further East to make a uturn. My other route avoids that. Camera 3 shows the intersection. I LOVE this app. CBP app is useless.

Must pay with a credit card or pay pal... lousy!

They want people to subscribe but you can’t do it using the Appstore. They want you to pay with either a credit/debit card or PayPal. Makes me wonder why? May be they want more personal information about people to sell it and share it. I would had subscribed if I could had subscribed through Apple like you can with other apps. Another very dumb thing, if you buy an anual subscription a friend gets a subscription free. Well, I have no friends who care for the app since they don’t cross the border. A better option to offer would be to get two years for the price of one. Is the same as giving someone a free year. Something else that is very dumb, is the "Time My Crossing" feature. That is only for subscribers. I don't know who came up with that, but is as dumb as dumb comes. Simply because the more people track their crossing times, the more accurate their reported time will be for everyone, including the paying customers. As for any other function, I can’t commend since I can’t use them because everything requires a subscription. I can say that their app looks cheaply made. The graphics and everything else are very poor in quality and menus not too well thought out. Good idea but poor execution.

Reliable!!

Great app!! It is mostly accurate of-course nothing is perfect. I’d say it needs better angles but it definitely helps my family and I! I use it when coming into Mexico around rush hour and when leaving. I have sentri so this helps a lot! Sometimes sentri is backed up but the ready lane isn’t so I’ll opt for the ready lane! If possible better angles on the cameras for pedestrian, ready and Sentri lane please! CBPs times aren’t accurate this app does the job!

Border Camera Review

I’ve had this app for sometime now and it is by far way better than anything we have available here in a city of 2 million plus people that borders one of the larger cities in CA not to mention the US! The radio stations - CBP don’t even come close sometimes to giving the real time crossing and the visuals don’t lie, this is a great app and it’s not perfect but sure does the job for us that cross the border and want to see wait times, etc!

Love this Border Crossing App!!

This app is great been using it for a few yrs. And is always improving they’re camera views for better service. Nice to see what to expect at border when wanting to cross. They have great customer service if any issues with app.

Very useful but…

I depend on this app most of the time, except when the cameras randomly go haywire. Sometimes the rain makes the lens’s foggy. When that happens I have to search online or call in to the CBP traffic report. Besides that, I love it.
