I recommend so much.

This app has genuinely helped me so much. as someone who doesn’t always feel comfortable opening up to people or don’t always have someone to open up to, this app lets me get all my feelings out. and i really love how you can see and track your progress and ups and downs throughout the weeks. Also, the activities they provide for calming your urges really really do help and it’s a wide variety of things too. from popping bubble wrap, to journaling. And the fact that it’s an app helps a ton too. I’m always on my phone 24/7. Especially when i’m trying to distract myself from my feelings. So to be able to still sit/lay down, literally just type and be “lazy” but still help myself is amazing. I used to journal to get my feelings out but when your in the moment feeling sad, depressed, anxious, etc, you don’t feel like getting up and going to get your journal and writing. i love this app and as someone who’s struggled with depression in the past and still struggling with anxiety, calm urge has really helped me with not cutting and letting my feelings out in a healthy way.

Used to be amazing, now you have to pay

I struggle with depression, anxiety, and self harm, and this app was so helpful. It used to let you share your notes with your therapist, track your emotions, concerns, and showed you a graph of how difficult your days have been over time. Unfortunately, the only original function that isn’t behind a monthly paywall now is just the daily journal and the original calming activities. When the premium feature first came out, only the extra activities were part of it. Now you need to pay every month to use basic functions of the app. I understand because the developer of the app is probably working on this on his own, but it’s still annoying that the “advanced statistics” which used to be free and a core part of why I used the app are now behind a paywall.

Amazing app!

I have been improving a lot on myself because of this app! There’s also a feature where you can have a passcode for it so only you can access it! There’s also an area in the app where you can distract yourself if you have the urge to SH and even a sos button where I think you go to the suicide hotline or something like that, I haven’t needed it yet though because I’ve had this app since February 20th which isn’t long but it has helped a lot :)

Great app

I really do enjoy this app. As a teen my hormones have been tidal waves and self harming has been something I have struggled a lot with. This app helps me more than any other app I have tried. It gives me a variety of fun distractions and fidgets that help put my mind at ease when I’m having a rough time. I was a little disappointed when I realized that some of the tools in the app you had to have a membership to use, but then a few days later they all became public access which was very fortunate, because as a teen I can’t just spend money like that. While it may not help everyone I think that the majority who use it will find it very helpful and easy to use.

Best Self Harm Tracker

This app has been so helpful during my recovery. To start, this app is loaded with features. You can log your progress for the day, see how many days you’ve been self harm free, and even review a history of your journal entries. Not to mention it has the emergency call features, so you can call an emergency contact of your choice with just the click of a button. If that doesn’t work for you, you can type a message ahead of time saying that you need help to any of your contacts through the app. So, if you’re having a crisis, you can send a message without having to type anything. The analytics feature is a great way to show improvement and progress. To top it all off, you can send a copy of your journal entry history to a person like a therapist or someone that’s your support. Finally, there are ads, but they are mainly banner ads, and not pop ups. So they don’t disrupt your experience with the app. When there are pop-up ads, they are generally very short, and you can click out of them shortly after they pop up. Overall, if you need a self harm tracker with a simple layout that is jam packed with features for free, I highly recommend this app, and would easily share it with friends.

Good app but. . .

I feel like if this is something that is meant to help people, it shouldn’t be as limited. To heal faster, it’s better to know how you have been feeling and if you are like me you would know..it really isn’t easy to track your emotions manually. Maybe even impossible. And what if the body of the person gets used to the ways they calm down? They will need something new. For me, I use all of them in a specific order. But if the user is under the age of 16 they do not have a job. They cannot get money unless it’s a gift or mow lawns but let’s be honest, someone who is dealing with all of this stuff that led to harming, they most likely wouldn’t have the energy to do so. Even if there is a free trial! Some kids alike to me don’t have the freedom to even use the free trial or to find another app their parent to approve of. At first I was going to use the app "I Am Sober" but there is groups so my mom would not allow me to and others who use this app may be in the same situation! Their mom/dad/guardian wouldn’t let them use another app so they found this.Much love, Karson the 12 year old 🖤✨

Better than any other app

I have seen alot of apps like this and none help like this one ❤️ the little anti stress games and emergency calls and everything, its all just so nice. It also helps that theres no ads or anything. I love how you can pick how you were feeling that day from a word bank because sometimes its hard for me to write things down, but when i do need to write about it, of course theres a feature for that. This app helps me more than you could ever know, thank you, and if youre also recovering, you can do it. ❤️‍🩹

amazing app !! super helpful

this app has really helped me gather my thoughts and emotions and track how i’m feeling. it’s so cool to be able to see your progress over time and you start to see trends and it’s just been very helpful. it’s so nice to be able to track how you are feeling while also being able to journal and write your thoughts down. i HIGHLY recommend this to anyone struggling with depression, anxiety, or any kind of mental illness 🤍

Its okay

I like it but I hate the premium feature because it seems like you’re capitalizing on people who need help and I understand it takes money to keep an app running and the developer needs to make a profit, it’s just a little upsetting. I used to like the statistics before it was taken away. Also the bubble wrap activity should have more realistic popping sounds, I just think it would be more enjoyable in my opinion. I still like the app and I will continue to use it!

I Just want people to see this

When I’m looking at all these sober apps and these apps that give you word of encouragement. I notice one thing. They have subscriptions. This saddens me not because I have to pay, but it makes me feel like these corporations are profiting from my pain. If they really cared about your self damaging problems. Would they make an app that “helps you,” but an app that people can subscribe to. When I about to hurt myself and I need something that will healthily put these urges to rest. I don’t need an ad I need something or someone that really, or rally wants to help.
