Apparently, the only way this app will work as an onscreen ruler is if you give it access to your camera. Why would I need to do that to use it as a simple onscreen ruler? FAIL!
Like whatever I was trying to measure something… I was trying to measure a dog and I didn’t take. so. I will not recommend this app
The ruler works perfectly, seems like it detects your phone model and adjusts. I checked with a tape measure and it measured up exactly on my Xr.
I don’t understand why crazy people leave bad reviews for a free app. This app seems to work exactly as advertised. Thank you for making this available.
Simple, clean, just as advertised, and exactly what I was looking for. Would love to see it gain comparability for the iPad Air 2.

I downloaded this when my previous measuring tape app failed to launch. So many others wanted a subscription payment and all I needed was a quick measurement here and there. I think it’s amazing this is offered for free. And in the future I’d be happy to make a one time purchase for a app like this.IMO the number of tool apps looking for subscriptions has gotten ridiculous.
Three ways to measure when you don't have a measuring tape or a ruler: 1 – AGAINST YOUR SCREEN Simple and precise for small measurements. 2 – IN AUGMENTED REALITY Place a virtual measuring tape on a vertical or horizontal surface, such as a wall, table or floor. Built with ARKit. 3 – USING AIRPRINT Print a ruler! Accuracy depends on the printer, so check the result against the on-screen ruler.
