Timesaver & Insight Maker!!
Wow! This is an amazing accesible tool for turning podcasts into planted thoughts for later! I was previously pausing to enter the episode along with notes/thoughts into my Trello. Entering the title was important so I can later search for the speaker and refer to the episode. But the manual entry was a big drag on my flow! Now, I make a snip and it automatically syncs to Notion so I can search for not only my notes but also the title of the episode from there! Time saver! Plus, being able to see & extract the transcript for my clip is beyond time saving because I never even dared to try that on my own. My only 1 suggestion is for the AI transcript to continue to improve. But I’m still giving this a 5 star rating, because it works and I know they’re working on that. THANK YOU SNIPD!

Most people can’t absorb an entire episode. Snipd empowers you to share your content and firey snippets for people to enjoy and take advantage of short form content, brilliant! And it saves an incredible amount of time editing podcast into MP4 format. I love the chapter cuts and the ability to fine-tune them. This app should definitely be apart of your work flow, it maintains your brand image and repurposes your content to attract new listeners. 😍😍!
Great for Podcasts, even better for notes
Love this app, the UI overall is simply one of the better Podcast listening experiences out there. But add in the additional functionality of being able to capture snippets out of what your listening with no transcribing required is the best part. And the the ultimate cherry being that you can do all of this, safely, while using hands free driving capabilities in Apple Car play. This is hands down the ONLY podcast app you need!!

As a podcaster and podcast listener, this app has (nearly)everything I need. It finally solves the discoverability problem through sharing episode recommendation snips based on your interests. But more importantly Snipd solves the problem of getting knowledge and nuggets out of the podcast and into your notes! The snip feature that grabs audio and adds key AI generated takeaways is so helpful. Can’t believe this app is free. Download it now!
A 5 star app that gets 4 stars…
This app deserves all the praise being heaped upon it. It’s a brilliantly and thoughtfully designed podcast player that instantly became my favorite. Download it and you’ll see. But one feature has been overlooked, and it is huge… There’s no way to skip x amount of time on the intro of podcasts. I didn’t realize how much I loved this feature until I didn’t have it. Nobody wants to listen to one or two or five minutes of the same introduction on every episode. Being able to set up a specific amount of time to skip at the beginning of each podcast is a vital feature. That issue aside, I highly recommend this app, and I hope the developers will continue to pour their creativity into it in the days to come. They’ve done a brilliant job so far!
Why would you listen to podcasts any other way?
I’ve tried dozens of podcast apps over the years. This much I know: If you listen to education-focused podcasts, podcasts you take notes on, podcasts you love because you’re a lifelong learner, this is the perfect app for you. I can generate transcripts (via built-in AI) for any podcast that doesn’t already provide them. I can clip the transcripts, add my own notes, and have both synced automatically to my notes app (Obsidian for me). I can even share these snips inside and outside the Snipd community. One of my favorite features is how snips from other users are surfaced to me. I’m constantly discovering great new shows and episodes this way. And admittedly, it’s changed how I consume podcasts. More and more, I’m jumping to just the parts of an episode that hold my interest, either based on the Chapter title (generating a transcript divides the podcast into useful chapters), the key insights/summary of a chapter (generated by AI), or because it was shared by a user I trust. This has saved me tons of time spent listening, while dramatically increasing the speed at which I’m learning. Trust me when I say, I’d you listen to learn, you will love this app!
Huge potential
As a major podcast junkie and avid note taker this podcast could be exactly what I’m looking for. Amazing experience so far and I’m sure many improvements are coming but here is my biggest criteria for a podcast app: I need to be able to group podcasts by category and then be able to scroll through categories and see thumbnails of all the podcasts (not episodes) I have in that group. Stitcher nailed this, CastBox does it pretty well too. If snipd can do this they will win me over and many other people who have subscribed to way too many podcasts! Cheers

This app is amazing. This has added a new element to how I consume podcasts and now allows me to grasp more information from them. If you’re at all into retaining info from podcasts then you need this app. Eagerly awaiting the future developments of this app. Incorporating large language models into the application as well to help deduce the content to digestible bits will only get better and better. Along with Podcast 2.0 and the way this area if evolving is very exciting. It’s like the early 2000s all over again when podcasts just started coming out.

Snipd has been a wonderful addition to streamlining my learning and research. The interface is simple and easy. The playback speed optionality is fantastic, and of course, the ability to snip moments in time throughout a podcast and have it automatically transcribed changes the way I engage with audio. The transcriptions are not perfect yet but they are still extremely helpful. Finally, Snipd let’s you connect with app like ReadWise to create a highly efficient process for PKM. Highly recommend.
Solid Podcast App With Logical Queue
Many of the free—and some of the paid—iOS podcast apps have queue functionality that makes very little sense. Snipd makes it easy: add episodes to a queue, reorder them as you wish, and—thank goodness—when you decide to listen to a different episode, the one you were listening to is just bumped down to next up in your queue. Not removed from the queue altogether like many other apps, just moved down so you can restart that episode later. Again, logical. Additionally, the ability to create customized feeds is great so you can quickly see new episodes within a specific category, like Sports, News, Politics, or anything you want. And the app looks clean and works pretty smoothly. Hope the devs keep making smart improvements. Snipd is true hidden gem among podcast apps.
