Great Slicer

I use my iPad Pro a lot and this is hands down the best slicer on the App Store for the iPad. There’s a small learning curve but there is with all slicers. Very reasonable price per month and you could tell the developer cares about the product they are putting out. 5 stars for me!

Good but needs some minor tweaks

First off, I am beyond thrilled that there is finally an, affordable, 3d slicer app on the App Store; this looks to be the first and only. The app itself is great, I love the UI and actually prefer it over using the Chitubox slicer on my PC. There are some minor things that need tweaking. Moving your meshes can be kinda wonky at times and some minor moving of buttons might be nice, like scooting the auto-supports button to a more accessible area, and maybe also having an option where you can use auto-support, parent supports, and bracing at the push of one button rather than hitting all three separately. From looking at the update history, the developer is very active with improving this app.My only issue, which very well might be my own fault, is that I’ve copied my normal exposure settings I use in Chitubox over to Pikaslice but was getting print failures (print was falling off of supports and becoming fused to the FEP sheet). I ended up boosting my exposure time and that remedied the issue. Chitubox still works with the original, unboosted, exposure times though. So I’ve been trying to figure out if this app is missing something or if Chitubox hides settings from its users.

Very easy to use.

In really love this app and is very easy to use once you get the hang of it and have presets set up. 1 question I have is if you’ll make a profile for the Creality k1 models? I didn’t see any there, or just didn’t know where to look. Thanks again for this app. It’s awesome!

More features please

I’m new to this but learning a lot quick, this app seems nice, getting used to the slicing process before I very soon get a 3d printer. I will try this for at least a month but there’s more I want/need. I’ll be getting a filament printer, it’d be nice to see settings for infill, types of patterns, layer height initial layer height cooling settings, speed settings layer width etc, pretty much all of the advanced settings. If this app already has it I’m having trouble finding the advanced settings. I’m also afraid of the no print problem people seem to have but I am going to give it a try first

Continually Improved Slicer

Slicing a model for 3D printing involves lots of different factors. For this reason, learning to use new slicing software requires patience, and this is as true for Pikaslice as it is for S3D, Prusaslicer and every other slicer. That said, Pikaslice is improving all the time and already includes an excellent feature set. Full use of Pikaslice will require modest fees. However, as you become more familiar and adept at using it, you’re likely to feel the advantages Pikaslice offers are well worth the price of admission.

Awesome slicer for the iPad!!!

I am new to resin printing and just purchased an elegoo Saturn 3 ultra. I sliced up some minis using this slicer and had no problems printing the files on my first go. I don’t have a laptop so this app is essential for me. The interface was easy for me to figure out. I’d totally recommend this slicer to anyone. It’s great to use a slicer with a touch interface, it just works!Wish list: WiFi printing with my elegoo Saturn 3 ultra.

Fantastic Slicer

I have been using this slicer for almost a month now. It’s a bit of a learning curve, but all slicers are. I copied my settings from Lychee and haven’t had any issues that aren’t of my own doing; I bounce between resin manufacturers and not all setting are the same. That being said, the support is fantastic as when I first downloaded it it didn’t save in my old Elegoo Mars’ file type. I let the developer know and he had an update in only a matter of like 2 or 3 days that was able to save in my dinosaur format! Yes you have to pay monthly for it, but I don’t see this as too much of a negative since it’s a good working portable slicer!

Annoying to Use and WARNING: USELESS

WARNING: There is no warning for a first-time user that you can’t save or export anything until you sign up for a monthly subscription!! it should really warn you. I already bought Lychee slicer. Don’t need to buy another one. Just thought I’d use something on the go. Not buying it. Also, it’s very frustrating to use. Trying to turn the mesh will result in unwanted holes and supports being placed.

Lots of trouble with anycubic mono x 6k

The program seems very easy to use, however whenever I go to print a model it shows up on the lcd screen like it’s printing. However after it prints the first layer on the plate the print stops physically, but the lcd still shows the print going. I have updated firmware, but still can’t get a proper file read. At least that’s all I can see it being at this point.

Zombie-ware takes your money and doesn’t deliver

I downloaded and used the free version, and was prompted to buy in order to export my model for printing. I did so, and then the app promptly crashed any time I attempted to export any project. I tried to reach out to their support links, but the links are broken (Discord link expired, Reddit link also dead, etc.)

Description

Introducing Pikaslice, a comprehensive slicing solution for both Resin/MSLA and Filament/FFF 3D printers on the mobile platform. Effortlessly import your 3D models, adjust their orientation and layout, apply manual or automatic supports, examine your scene for islands, and export your work to an extensive range of supported Resin/MSLA and Filament/FFF 3D printers. While the use of an Apple Pencil is highly recommended, it is not mandatory.

To transfer the exported files to a thumb drive (and subsequently to your printer), you'll need an adapter, such as USB-C to USB-A, depending on your specific iPad and thumb drive model. Please note that this app is compatible with a variety of resin MSLA, DLP, and FFF/Filament 3D printers (see the list within the app).
