This app is working now--finally - see updated, 2 stars!

Updated today April 21, 2022 -- I am starting to loose interesting in PhotoLap cuz of too many "people with too much cartoon" all the times! I would rather to use something else better just people! What I love to have something like art.. etc. just getting tired of seeing in that pix ever times I login it... seeing more and more people that turn me off and might want to delete it! If that keep up then I will have to remove that app! UPDATE: I had to deleted it then reinstalled it and it works! Finally! Not sure why this happened but I hope it stay that way!This app kept on crashed when I kept tabbing it to open but kept crashing all the times as soon as it open with loading, that it! Pleased fix it! I can't get to open it at all! I have had it for less 8 or less years, can't remember exactly when and now crashed! I do love it! Pleases fix that crash! First times I gave u 5 stars for years and just two days or so it crashed many times so gave u 3 stars. Yet no words about it till now so I am now giving u 2 stars! Please answer me! Fix it!

Excellent Paid Version. So Much Fun & Easy

I’ve been using paid version of Photo Lab Pro for over two years. There are many cool, easy to use options in this cool app.. As an artist, I need to tweak my art and photos, i.e., remove any spots or blur out the background...and I can easily accomplish this with this app! This app does repeatedly interrupt you, asking for your ‘volunteer’ review, which is endlessly annoying (Most Apps do that). So, I’m hoping that my honest review now will end those multiple, unwelcome intrusions. I love how you can take a photo and enhance the contrast, brightness, even colors. As an artist, I found Photo Lab Pro user friendly, however, I am frustrated by certain options requiring a human face only, to use. They won’t accept my dog’s face, or a human face turned slightly away. Fix this! Also, I am hoping a more advanced version for those of us who are REALLY INTO this app/ are professionals will be developed. I would LOVE that. Try this app, you will love it!

Paid version - amazing!

I tried a few similar apps (free) before determining I liked photolab best and deciding to invest a few bucks into the paid version. Worth every penny. So much fun, endless options, fun to share! I have two complaints: 1) there’s no way to better organize or search for filters. So if remember part of the filter name I have to spend 5 minutes finding it because I can’t remember if it’s considered a lighting effect or an overlay, a simple border or a frame or an “amazing frame”. There are just too many filters for them to not be searchable or broken down in some other way. 2) it’s cumbersome to preview different filter/effects on a photo, there’s no way to do it quickly. It’s somewhat easier to try different photos with the same filter/effect (because you choose your effect first, then the photo you want to apply it to; I think it should work the other way around). Once you’ve processed an effect on a picture it gives you a way to more easily preview ADDITIONAL filters and effects on the same altered picture, but I wish that option was there from the get-go for photos that haven’t already been run through at least one filter. So it can get frustrating and I think ultimately takes too long to make your masterpiece if you are experimenting. Still a lot of fun though with some pretty cool results.

Awesome Awesome

I’ve been using this app since it was in Beta test mode and I must say, it is by far, the best app I’ve ever had! It’s absolutely awesome! The things I’ve been able to accomplish with photos is over the top! To this day, I have no idea how their customer service is, because i’ve never had a problem requiring their services AND I use this app A Lot! I’ve been using the paid. Version from the beginning and I just can’t say enough good things about this app. I Just Love it! I hope I always have it! Recently, the app asked me to log in using Facebook or google and now I can’t find my years of saved effects and pictures… I’m pretty sure it’s operator malfunction… user error… but I sure could use some support!

Amazing and simple to use

My favorite photo app. I’ve been using for years. Started with the free version and decided to pay for pro after a year. Worth every penny.I’ve already rated it, but the app keeps asking me to rate it! It is a bit annoying, but honestly, it only takes a quick tap and the request is gone(until next time lol), so I don’t feel that I should take away any stars or focus on the one thing that bothers me, when the rest of the app is so great. There’s always room for improvement for any app, and I’m hoping that the constant rate request will be fixed soon. It would also be great to have a way to search filters using keywords, or save to a favorite list.I enjoy the feed page. I have come across some really cool pictures there. After I figured out how to see which filters were used, I’ve had more fun with my own creations.I wish I could use this program on my computer. It’s incredible editing software that really is fun to play with.You can’t go wrong buying this app.. unless you don’t like editing pictures. If that’s the case, you probably won’t enjoy this app, and you’ll probably never see this review 🙃

Things are just getting worse

I first gave this app 5 stars because it was great and I got so much enjoyment out of it. But then when I started to apply the apps that require pictures from the Internet my problems began. I would work out an entire photo and save it to my camera roll however when I tried to put it in the feed to share error messages came up over and over and over again. I contacted the developer and they worked on it and couldn’t see what the problem was. Then is if that wasn’t bad enough one day my entire profile of pictures disappeared I wrote the developer again I guess they worked on it for a few days and said we recovered all 187 of your profile pictures. Well apparently they can see something that I couldn’t because I only counted 10 profile pictures that had been returned. So I start all over again it’s very very disappointing because they can’t seem to give me an answer for what the problem is. Anyone else have this problem?When I apply and effect that requires the Internet pictures I can count on getting an error message so what I have to do is save it to my camera roll and then pull it up again and put it into the feed that way. If you were to look at my original it would look the same I’m very very disappointed.

User Friendly

I have spent money on a lot of money on photo editing apps. I was finding features on different apps that I liked. I bought the pro version. This app has something for everyone and more. I haven’t scratched the surface with the features available. Photo editing and creating art from photos takes some time to learn and to complete the process. If you have some experience with editing and you are patient, this app will allow you to create some great stuff. It may look complicated and overwhelming, but it is not if you start with simple filters and then experiment with the infinite features. But what makes this app 5 stars is the ability to create something on the go.... a project... whatever. You can’t go wrong. It is a lab.

Not Fair

I've had this app for several years. I got the pro version back when you only had to pay one time to use all the features. Of course now they charge a weekly, monthly, yearly subscription fee. Three days ago, my app quit working. I tried to open it and it would open for a split second and then close. After three days of this I uninstalled it and tried to install it again. What a surprise. Now they want me to pay on a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription. I bought the pro a few years back with good faith that I would be able to enjoy using the app and it's features after I paid for it. I never signed anything that said I would not get to use it anymore when they decided to start charging a subscription fee. How many if you had this happened to? It's not right nor is it professional.

The Best Image Manipulation app available

I have used a TON of image manipulation or editing apps for iOS over the years, close to all of them if not all. Photo Lab absolutely rocks as a product that performs standard image manipulation functions (e.g. crop, resize, adjust colors, brightness, orientation and more). However, where Photo Lab really shines and comes into its own, is when you are working with the templates and "pre made" image effects that come with the app. Having spent many of my teenage years in a dark room learning how to manipulate prints the "old fashioned" way, let me tell you how nice it is to press a couple buttons and then sit back and let the software do the hard work for you. I highly recommend you give this one a try, you won't be disappointed!!

Difficult to quickly find desired effect without signing in to a data mining platform.

Unless I'm using this incorrectly, I have to scroll through thousands of other peoples photos in order to find an appropriate affect to enhance my photo. The earlier version had fewer options with no animation available, but showed each effect only once, with the same model used in each photo. Also was much easier to find in order to use them again. Many of these original photo options are either no longer available or I just can't find them in the cluster of often repeated images. I lose patience sifting through Photos of thousands of strangers just to find an effect that will make a friend laugh. Also, because this app was purchased, I don't understand why I need to sign in to have my data mined and shared through Facebook, Instagram & Google. If by signing in, I would gain access to a more organized, usable product; I clearly paid for an an enormous time waster.This is fun if you're fortunate enough to stumble upon an effect that works for your photo within the hour.
