No Debit Cards Here, LOL

They don’t send your debit(s) card on time. It takes them a solid month and some weeks to send out cards. How do I know this? After opening up my bank account, they sent me my 1st debit card. I waited for the expected arrival date which came, yet I received no card. So I called their customer service and they ended up canceling the card in transit and processing another one to be sent. The representative on the phone promised me I would receive this second card in 14 calendar days. After 14 calendar days guess which card I received? The first one. I know this because when I tried to activate it, they said that there was an error, in which I called customer service about again. They told me that I received the first card but that it has been completely canceled. Yet they had no update on the second card. Instead they wanted me to completely cancel the second card so they can send me a third. I told her “no, that I’ll wait for the 2nd card to get here” because I simply didn’t want to wait another month cycle just to go through the same problem again. UPDATE: I ordered this card back in January and as of today I have yet to receive my card. Customer service keeps telling me to use that silly virtual card of theirs. This is pathetic.

I hate to leave this review because I use to LOVE this bank

I’ve always sworn by this bank account and told everyone I could to get it- like it was legit the very best one out there. HOWEVER, when they couldn’t leave well enough alone and updated the app to this dark themed oxygen fire etc. all it does now is crash, CONSTANTLY. I open my app up and 8 out of 10 times it crashes upon opening and tells me my account is not active when I’m clearly looking at my funds behind this supposed error message. So I always and I do mean ALWAYS, have to close it and open it again anoint 5 or 6 times for it to finally stop crashing and giving me an error message. I’ve been in the check out line and forgot to unlock my card before I came in the store and literally had to stand there trying to open the app to unlock my card but of course as always it crashed and told me I didnt have an account. So I had to stand there holding up the line until the Oxygen app finally got its life together and opened up for me. It was awful.. Again I use to absolutely LOVE this app. But now- with the update, it’s completely useless. I cant even recommended it anymore, it will legit make you throw your phone smh. Honest review.

Oxygen

After spending an hour or more unsuccessfully trying to open 2 other online banking accounts, I told myself that I would try only one more. I was far from optimistic. I had become very frustrated because of the wasted time I had spent failing to open and set up accounts for, among others, N26 & PCN. Oxygen was next in the queue, so I cynically downloaded the app and began what I expected to be another failed attempt.The sign up and verification process was first and I was immediately surprised at how easy and fast I was able to successfully open my Oxygen account. Almost before I knew it, I was told that my personal info was accepted, my account was approved and an Oxygen Visa debit card was on it’s way to me. I was already able to use a virtual card if I needed to as well. The Oxygen App is very user friendly and has an extremely slick appearance. I quickly realized that Oxygen was something I definitely needed, in more ways than one. Kudos to the developers for creating an extremely likeable and efficient application with several very unique features. This is how it is supposed to be. I rarely give 5 star app reviews so quickly because I have learned that just because it looks great at first, that doesn’t mean it will hold up. I have a couple other excellent online banking accounts but I have a feeling that Oxygen is going to be a favorite for me.

Business account setup takes forever!!!

I wish the setup time were really 2-4 weeks like stated, and not the 2-4 months it's taken. This was once a 1 star review because I honestly thought I had been scammed, but yesterday a Certificate of Registration came… so something is happening. It’s just incredibly disheartening when you have questions about a super important issue (like setting up a brand new business for example), and there seems to be no one available to answer any real questions… I’ve still yet to receive a single email from the business department! Ongoing review as things change, I’ve updated to 3 stars… as I’m hopeful now, whereas before I genuinely was worried that no business was being formed at all, and my measly $270 was part of “who falls for that” type of scam! I don’t think that’s the case here though, I think things are just taking WAY longer than expected. So I shall continue my life lessons in patience… and come back to this when/if there is an update. Cheers!

Unexpectedly impressed

I downloaded a handful of online banking apps because I needed a routing number and account number In Order to receive three dollars cash I had required In rewards points from participating in the door dash food delivery employment opportunity and except for oxygen all the other apps I downloaded ended up being unable to be recognized as legit banking or required subscriptions or some other kind of unsolicited nonsense in order to use them I had hit all brick walls so when oxygen not only provided exactly what I needed in an easy to understand and enjoyable manner I was over the moon excited but I wasent planning on actually using oxygen more then for just acquiring my reward money until I was unexpectedly surprised by not only the beautiful astatic it had but the countless offers it had in requires to saving money cash backs and perks. I decided to make oxygen my primary bank and I’m so happy I have. I encourage everyone to check this online bank out and just explore all the exciting things it can offer.

They changed for the bad

After using their services for several years I just noticed today or wasn’t even something I would say noticed I was transferring funds into Oxygen and my phones just disappeared and I got my sending banks version and oxygen‘s version of where my money is but upon checking factual records and tracing the funds it was in oxygen Bancorp bank account and they were denying that they ever received the funds I am not the only person having this kind of problem lately I went online and I saw hundreds of people complaining about the same thing and hoping and crossing my fingers it didn’t happen to me but here we goSupport team is clueless and has no clue of what’s going on and they’ll say that they declined deposit of your funds when when you go back to your center they will tell you it was successfully deposit into the bank or bank which is oxygenSo I go back to Oxygen to let them know that it shows the money is clearly in their funds and they’re still saying that they declined a deposit that they don’t have it my mind is blown fact show where the money is through the Tre’s reference number and they can’t even except it telling me go back to Cash App because they never sent it I trust cash apps reliability way more than oxygen oxygen I find out isn’t even a bank they call it an experimental service system

Have had ZERO problems!

I’ve had multiple online banking accounts and nothing compares to the standards upheld by Oxygen. It’s even better than Wells Fargo in some ways. I came here to leave a good review and was astonished to see so many people disappointed. I will say, I haven’t had a reason to contact customer service via phone yet. However, I did have a chat with them online and things were resolved rather quickly. I appreciate the upgrades to the newer cards and their capabilities along with the benefits of having them. The benefits are amazing. I also take full advantage of their savings account which allows me to set a goal that is super helpful. I do hope that they are able to acknowledge everyone’s concern. Customer service and consumer acknowledgment is equally as important to me as the benefits of banking with Oxygen. If the customer service is poor, the quality of the service provided might as well be also.Update: there’s been too many times I was unable to access my own money. And it’s usually because their system is down. If you have big money transactions, this card is probably not for you. It won’t allow you to pull out over $2500 and there’s nothing they can do to increase that. It no longer has the option to see free ATM’s, their customer support is not the worst but it isn’t the best either. If their system shuts down and you don’t have money stored anywhere else, GOOD LUCK. Hopefully you’re not stuck traveling.

Not what it used to be.

When I first opened an account 3ish years ago it was great. Crazy good cash back, atm fee refunds etc. But slowly over time they’ve reduced benefits more and more. Out of network atm fees are $3 on top of the fee of the atm you’re using, meaning $6+ dollars. I could be mistaken but I don’t remember this being the case when I first opened the account. I was hoping they would give me a onetime refund of $3 after being a customer for 3-4 years but they declined, fair enough it was my fault for not knowing but most “online” banks have atm refund allowances even if it’s once a month considering they don’t actually have any brick and mortar banks. That being said, their network is very large, it’s just the issue of bait and switch. It used come with unreal benefits, so I’m not surprised they had to change, but I can’t help but feel that was their plan. Draw people in, then slowly become like every other bank. They do still have $1 back on any fast food purchases over $3 which is awesome at 33% cash back (for small purchases) Regardless they still stack up to other average banks and then some, additionally I love the virtual card features. But I can’t recommended them endlessly to friends like I used to because I’m not sure what else will eventually change.

My favorite bank

Can't go wrong with oxygen. The best free checking account I've ever had. Literally no fees, has the best banking app I've ever used, has great security, money management features, & compared to other online banking apps, it has much better development and stays frequently updated. They have to be the best if not one of the very best when it comes to their app. Since they don't have physical branches, this is where they are able to deliver a banking experience that made me close my other account, in general; their app is GOOD. It works flawlessly on my iPhone 8. Haven't had any issues since banking at oxygen. anytime I need something that I need to talk to a human, customer service has taken care of me with a great sense of urgency. -Seriously the best mobile, or actually, general banking experience I've had, & I've had accounts with several of the major banks out there. They even have a really cool debit card design. if your looking into trying a new bank for checking/savings that works great with cash app, venmo, Apple pay, Zelle, etc

Could use some feature and option improvements

Overall the app is wonderful and most of the features as well. There are two issues that I believe would be easily resolved if addressed. The 500 atm withdrawal per day limit. This should be something the account holder has control over or raised to at least 1000 a day. This is a constraint that’s a bit too tight these days with pricing as it is. The next is the 14 day time frame for which a check is sent for any check issued bill pay. Often it isn’t possible to set up a payment 14 days prior to due date so waiting 14 days will make payment late. This could lead to late fees for the consumer. The support correspondence is very good in app. Answers always provided to questions. The policies or FAQ pages need to be added with some added info so the consumer is more informed. There is no easy location of atm withdrawal limit info (had to chat with support to get the details) no info on bill pay with check time for check to be processed and sent. I’d this information is listed within the app or website it isn’t easily located. There should be a help page with all the details and specifics there to answer common questions. I do love many of the features of the account and love using it as it is very organized. I’d only like to see the above improvements. This card has the potential to be the best out there with a few tweeks.
