Opus One has a lot of potential

I bought Opus One today and was thrilled that it could take the place of my Franklin Covey planner or, better yet, work in conjunction with my paper planner. The major features that are missing and became a deal breaker for me are the Weekly and Daily Planning features in MacOS, but not in iOS. Whether or not I have a Mac, I do a majority of my work on an iPad Pro and without the Weekly and Daily Planning features, the app is not that useful. But, that’s just me.I’ll keep checking back and see if they’ve been added. There is a requested Features List on Trello and I see that Weekly Planning is on the list, but not sure the priority.

Franklin Covey on steroids.

I used to be a fan of Franklin Covey, but smartphones made carrying a bulky planner seem impractical. As impractical as it is, I would lie if I don’t accept that smartphones’ calendars don’t really cut it. There is something magical about a Franklin Covey (or their clones). Opus is a great app that gives you the convenience of a smartphone and the magic of a Franklin Covey. The fact that you can control your planner from your phone, tablet, and computer is a plus. You can add items, dates, and tasks at home from a tablet, but have access to them outside of your home sweet home from your phone.I am digging the fact that daily notes lets you add pictures, places on a map, or record your voice. Makes it easier to understand those notes.Happy customer indeed.

Really Like This App

I have used a notebook/at-a-glance planner for the longest time. I now am carrying so many devices around that it’s difficult to keep up with the notebook planner. I’ve tried numerous digital planning apps and I have not been able to stay organized as I did with the “at-a-glance” daily planner until trying the Opus One planner. It is excellent and I can use it across all my apple devices. Very easy to use, very easy to make to-do lists for the day and week as well as add events to the calendar that I need to keep track of. Really loving the app, thanks!

OPUS ONE JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER

Oh how I love this app. I used to be a Franklin Planner user but got tired of carrying all the paper around. Then I recently started using the Panda Planner, loved the creative side. I stumbled upon this app and it really does marry the two planners together in one app. Plus it works seamlessly with Google Calendar, its is visually stunning (please come out with more templates). I can set goals, write down what I am thankful for, upload images and AS OF TODAY, I can write using my Apple Pencil. I am in love and this is worth the price per year.

Wonderful Planner

Simulates Franklin original paper planner, which is the ultimate standard of productivity It needs a follow up or continue feature for tasks already “in progress” such that you don’t have to see the task in your daily list every day while “in progress” , but shows up again on the day that it needs to be worked on again. Most tasks that are in progress are not worked on every day until complete but are worked on for a bit then put away for a week or so then picked up again.Otherwise it’s perfect Almost there!!! Keep at it!

The concept is brilliant, but...

I love the app and truthfully I would use it, but is not wholistic enough. We have moved to a world where we use and prefer less paper, so I want to use my Apple Pencil to make quick notes but also to create to do lists, or a note for an event .. or just create an event ... like I would do it with paper ... but I cannot so for this reason I would prefer other apps that allow me to do this. The concept, UI is the friendliest and most realistic from all the apps out there but again .. some of us want to also interface with calendars that are work related that most of the time are using outlook ... can’t do that either .. so there are 3 stars as I really liked the concept, the fill and the functionalities .. but please take in consideration where the world is moving, that we want to cut less trees to make notes that after will be thrown away .. and that are multiple platforms out there ... not only Mac.

Been waiting a long time for this!

Ever since my original iPad I’ve been looking for an app that truly replaces my old Franklin Planner. I finally have it in Opus One! It has everything I need, and I especially love the flexible daily notes. It’s clunkier on the iPhone but still usable, and I prefer iPad or Mac for bigger planning, anyway. The developer seems responsive (based on others, I haven’t needed to contact support) and I think some of the features I hope to eventually have are already on their list: better Apple Pencil integration, more customization of the Franklin Covey-type screens (compass, planner, etc.), sublists for tasks.I have encountered one glitch I hope will be fixed ASAP—when editing a repeating event it does the opposite when I select “for this event only” or “all events.” Weird.Thank you for bringing me back my planner!!

Closest thing to Franklin-Covey planner

This app works very much like a Franklin Planner, both in function and in philosophy. To get the full benefit, spend time working through the Compass, Mission, and Goals. The app syncs across my tablet, phone, and Mac, which is very useful. The independent apps make good use of the screen space of the three platforms. Specifically, it’s notable that the phone version is not just a dumbed-down version of the desktop or tablet.Four stars because the interface is a bit clunky and inconsistent. However, Piso13 is constantly improving the software, so those bumps will smooth, I’m sure.

Sadly, I use my Google calendar... and hp

This is just really a bummer... I have to literally choose one or the other and that feels like a monopoly to me. I don’t think, apps should discriminate on which products you use. It’s really unfortunate, your basically saying buy iOS products or don’t use our apps. That’s just not how life is, we’re human diverse and use many different products so I find that as a major red flag that it’s only on Mac... the website is so shady, it still has go daddy on it. No seo, work this is a shell company and should be investigated. The sad part is a lot of research went into creating this app which makes me think this in fact a shell company. I’m so tired of great apps coming with companies that super shady and with all the missing people these days we reslly need to be careful which apps are shell companies or just not really ran well companies. That means, if your going to put and transfer your life to a planner it needs to be from a reliable source. Reliable company, and website.

Finally, I can drop my paper planner

I have been a paper planner guy for my whole life. This is the last item that was holding me back from going totally digital ... now I am totally digital thanks to Opus One. Love the Role, Values and Mission sections. These keep me on track in my life, personal and business. Thanks, I have waited a long time for this and it is spot on.Only question is if I am missing something for an automatic sync b/t phone and pad? Seems I have to manually sync, unlike my previous attempt at a digital planner which had options for automatic sync ... only thing holding me back from 5 stars.
