Best Game of 2018

This game is my favorite game of 2018. It is absolutely amazing on XBOX or PC. When they switched it over to iOS they really screwed up the rendering. It seems like someone really screwed up David’s character model. As a veteran if I hadn’t played this game on XBox I would find it quite offensive. I do not believe this mistake was intentional though. It seems to me that it is just really bad rendering because you’re running it on slower hardware. To be honest, if you can play it elsewhere please do so before you play the iOS model. That said if you are deciding whether or not you should play this game at all then I ABSOLUTELY URGE YOU TO PLAY THIS GAME. Also if the game won’t finish installing it is because you don’t have enough storage space. Good luck, and remember this decision will have consequences.

They haven’t updated this game to fix major issues

People will disappear, stand in the floor, be upside down, sideways, or facing away from Chloe. It does affect the storyline too, it’s hard to know who’s talking when. I’m really sad I spent money on a game that works worse than any other freemium game I’ve played. At times objects the characters were using disappeared and it makes the game hard to follow. If there was a way to get a refund I would. I liked lis 1 a lot but this leaves way too much to be desired for me for say it was worth purchasing :( could have been really good. I took screenshots but I can’t upload them :( Something I wished for in the game too is the option to adjust the way you walk because I like the joy con style better than tapping. Also there was no way to teach Chloe’s choices throughout the game like the last one, you can only see what choices she made at the end of the episode.

I love Life is Strange, but very disappointed.

I finished the first LiS game a while ago. I downloaded this after reading that I should play this before playing any other LiS games. When I got it, I couldn’t believe what happened when I went to the menu. The background was glitching out like crazy! I bought episode 1 and started playing it. Now, pretty much everything in the game was glitching out. (I have images for proof, as well.) I have an iPhone 12, so it shouldn’t be doing that. As you can tell, this game is one of the most glitchiest games I’ve ever played. And yes, I play a lot of games. David’s mouth movements ruin the game even more, too. His chin is moving up and down, and his eyes bulge out of his head often. I have yet to see it, but some people have proof that Rachel Amber turned completely red in one of the game scenes. This makes the game very not enjoyable for me to play. And listen, I’m not one to give a 3 star review. I love your first game, it was very breathtaking and I love how it mixed together like that. I still will keep playing your games, but this one is not very good. The only thing I really liked about the game was that we got to play as Chloe, and Rachel Amber was seen on the game. And also, please don’t take this review personally. Still keep up with the great work! I’m excited to see your future updates! Have a great day :)

Frustrated

I was very excited when I downloaded this because it’s listed as a free game! Unfortunately, you only get to play about 5 minutes of the game before you have to purchase the rest of the episode. I understand you have to make money off such a huge title game, but just make me buy the game from the get-go. I probably would’ve paid for it had it just been listed as a game you have to buy. But that I feel I’ve been lied to, I have no interest in playing the game. I played through the first console version but now I apparently will not be playing through this version. Graphics are great for a mobile game, and the story seems interesting. Also it’s EXTREMELY hard to walk around and the marker keeps ending up somewhere on the opposite side of the screen. At the very least, fix that for the people who want to pay for this

Pretty good!

I enjoyed this game a lot and decided to get it after playing the first Life is Strange. The graphics were super similar to the first one which I was a little surprised about since I would have expected the graphics to improve more. The story was really good but what brought down my rating was the new control system which made it super hard to play game. Rather than the original joystick to move around, we have to tap where we want our character to go while also swiping around the screen to change our view (which was also hard since the sensitivity is so low). The two different things conflict with each other so sometimes rather than changing direction, your view will flip completely the other way so then you’ll have to spend awhile trying to turn around.

Could Have Potential... But Otherwise Pretty Bad.

I loved the original Life Is Strange. With so many characters and settings, it was hard to get mad over the glitches. (Which there were very FEW of.) But this... This ruins the Life Is Strange feeling. The feeling I get from playing Life Is Strange is wonder. Like telltale games, I constantly wonder what is going to happen next. But with so many errors and mistakes in this game, it makes it hard to ignore them. Like with one section where David’s lips don’t move, yet his jaw moves up and down when he is speaking, and his skin glitches into his eyes! And when I’m in the car with William, It kicks me out of the game when he’s hit by the semi truck. This is not the Life is Strange I fell in love with, and I honesty regret buying this... I wasted 12 bucks on a game that doesn’t even work. Like in the title, this game had good potential, but sadly, it didn’t live up to my standards. If your like me, and read the reviews before getting a game, do what you want. But if you have a iPad Pro, I suggest don’t buy this game.

This game is real!

After finishing Life is Strange, I just absolutely needed to play this game for two reasons. First, Chloe is my favorite character and this game felt like it was made just for me. Second, I knew the backstory in Life is Strange, would get much clearer in Before the Storm. And it totally did. It was literally everything I expected and more. The soundtrack was amazing and the story was an emotional roller coaster for me. My favorite aspect of this game is that the player gets to know Rachel and Chloe, and so many things start to make sense. If you haven’t played Life is Strange 1, I totally recommend that you play that first and then move on to Before the Storm. And if you have played Life is Strange, you would be missing out, if u didn’t come and play this one too!

Love the story, but quite buggy

While I love the story, there are significant bugs which prevent me from giving this 5 stars. First, characters are frequently in the wrong locations during cutscenes and conversations, a dragonkin figure is not properly displayed, and David… his jaw movements in episode 1 made him even scarier than he is. Then there’s the control scheme. I liked the scheme from the first Life is Strange, where one half of the screen controls the player character while the other half controls the camera, but you don’t have that option here. Tap to walk somewhere. If you miss the tap target to interact with something, you end up starting to walk away from it, which quickly got annoying. And I didn’t get far into episode 3 before it got crashier than I would have liked. Anyway, story gets 5 stars, but the lack of control scheme options, crashes, and bugs drop the overall rating to 3 stars.

Amazing game but bad graphics

The game was super good!!!! It wasn’t like those games that ruins the first on. But one thing that they should try making better is the graphics, but they will not ruin the game for me. Normally I’m not the one who would complain about the graphics, but these where a understatement. Sometimes you wouldn’t even see the person but hear the talking, or the mouth would move but the chin would. And moving around, my goodness, they way that had it set up in the first one was amazing, with the joystick. But this one you have to tap where you want to make, it make it very difficult to play. Also the game just randomly crashes. And I would blame my iPad but my iPad is new and up to date. But otherwise the game is super super good and if have played the first one, you have to play this one!!!

Love the game so far however..

I love the game so far, I'm currently on episode 3 however the game so far has been extremely glitchy. In episode one David's mouth glitched the entire episode and in episode 2 on some parts when a character is speaking they just disappear from the scene. The dialogue still goes on but they are not there when the "camera" pans. But my biggest gripe is that I can't play the game offline like I can with the first life is strange. Every time I open it the game crashes and the one time I was able to play for a little bit it crashed in the middle of my game. Lastly the episodes don't seem as long as the episodes in the first life is strange but they are still good nonetheless. Overall the game is good but the glitches and crashing of the game seriously bring the rating down. If those things were addressed I would definitely give it five stars.
