Toxic

I loved this game at first but it’s easily ruined by the overly long cooldowns and toxic player base.. I was hunted seemingly because I called out a union for forcing low level players to be their farms.. the union was called “Night Alliance”.. they said I should play FarmVille if I didn’t like being farmed.. it was apparently my fault for progressing throughout the game and everyone in the local chat supported such behavior, there’s also little to nothing to protect you from toxic players who will hunt you down.. the fact that there are no safeguards to prevent such toxic behavior is disgusting and negligence, this game is easily pay to win as well.. the chances for new ships are near impossible after a certain point, there’s no adventure or exploration the game was lying to you.. it’s mainly about whales using you like sheep, I was even told I needed their permission to be in that region.. you’d assume none union players would be safe right? No they’ll just purge you and take every little thing you earned away wasting weeks of your time while they just have to use their credit cards.. I don’t recommend this game and their false narrative.. I’ve played war games and they were fine even when they were toxic however with this game it goes above and beyond.. they’ll track you down just by seeing the region in your account because the games practically tells them where you are, it’s disgustingly allowing such behavior as well.

Pretty nice mobile strategy game that stands above the rest

I normally don’t play mobile strategies for long. They get boring quickly to me, especially the pay-to-win aspects. This game isn’t like it. Sure, you can use real money, but you can also play without that. You have your own starbase and send out mining ships to get resources while expanding and building up the base. You also do research and build your fleet to fight pirates or other players. I like that the game gets the scale of a star system better than many others. A single system is HUGE, it’s basically a server, although you can travel between them through giant stargates. The visual style is very industrial. Not many flashy colors or impractical designs. Somewhat reminiscent of Homeworld, especially the music and the background chatter.Combat is automatic and pretty much involves ships floating in space and shooting at one another. Only fighter craft maneuver. But I like that you can have multiple fleets engage the same enemy and it actually has an effect. Fleets automatically organize ships into battle lines. Typically your ships target lines in order, but if a second fleet were to flank the same enemy, then that second fleet would be able to attack any enemy

Love/hate

Like all netease games, its an amazing idea and an engaging theme with extremely poor implementation. You have a starbase and fleet which struggles and battles for resources to build yourself into a force. That’s the fun part. But the not so fun part is the buggy logic, limited and poorly designed fleet controls, fleets getting mired in logic loops. Your ability to control your ships is impossibly limited, and it can take 4+ hours to reach some destinations where you’re left with the singular option of “retreat” because your ships begin to meander aimlessly - literally-for-hours. And if you forget to turn off auto retreat, an entire day of travel is for nothing. It is agonizing. And worse, they did it on purpose, being that they state as much in the faq. I get that game logic fails. It happens. But to design a game that takes hours to implement an action with no option to HALT that action once it’s logic fails is… juvenile. It’s too frustrating. Like every NetEase game, i stuck with it for theme until i couldn’t stand the problems anymore.

Fast Moving, but I Got an Issue

In the game there are about 9 base expansions you can add to your base, each with a different building or access to a new kind of ship. I am currently on base expansion 4 and I have only played for a day now. The game moves along fast so you can experience the actual open world and attack other players and such. The battles aren’t just over in a flash either and you may constantly find yourself having to upgrade your ships to defeat an AI that is level 3 near your base. I have not spent any money on this game and I am having a blast. It however is not one of those games where you can stare and interact with things left and right. For example, one of you create a fleet with more than one ship, you cannot split the fleet to attempt to take out more than one enemy faster. You have to plan ahead and make however many fleets you need. I have yet to fully experiment with this feature as of about 20 minutes ago my game seems to be completely glitched. Whenever I tap on the app it takes me into it and then right as the loading screen pops up the game turns black. It doesn’t crash or freeze my phone, it just goes black and stops loading. I don’t know how to fix it other than uninstalling and reinstalling. Thank god I paired with my Game Center.

Better than I did expected

I honestly expected some pretty lazy cash grab with a cool skin. But the game is a bit deeper and a lot more interesting than I expected. And it is fun just watching your ships sailing through space and fighting. That being said, they really, really need to improve how you get blueprints for new ships. You simply will not be able to beat players who have better ships than you, and it is just comical how many times I’ve waited days to finally get another blueprint only to find out I’ve pulled the same ship everybody starts with AGAIN and just have to settle for some points I don’t need anyway. I barely have any of the available ships too, so it doesn’t make sense I keep drawing the same few I have if they’re all equally likely. And it’s not really like you can buy them in a sensible way either, so I don’t get why they are so against giving you ships you can use. I’ve hit a wall now where my base is upgraded to its max, but I just don’t have enough ships I can build or ones that are particularly good. So what am I really supposed to be doing? I do want to keep playing this game, but it is getting harder and harder to find the motivation as I’m running out of tech boxes I can get, and keep redrawing the same handful of ships the few times I finally do get a blueprint.

Amazing game but buggy

This is the most amazing game I have played in the last 20 years. The story line, strategy, politics, combat, graphics and easy of learning the game play is the best I have ever seen. Is it possible when getting a new blue print instead of being forced to accept it you can exchange it for 5 research point? Also, the pathing in this game is an epic fail. A giant steaming pile of dung, of intergalactic proportions. It makes me want to throw my iPad across the room. I understand that it would be a monumental undertaking to fix. As it would probably require rewriting the foundation programming. What about just adding a “halt” option. Like with your miners. Then, at least you could kill the command. Instead of your fleet being stuck for infinity. Or your fleet having to retreat and starting all over and wasting your AP. Then you could raise the AP cap or speed up the recovery time for your AP. To make up for the possible “halting” that you and I know will happen. Definitely, a solid 4.5 star game. 0140 V856 Cetus

What a windup, with a lie!

I’ve played this gave for 2 ‘servers’ and watched all the videos how the devs claim they balance it for F2P and whales. Utter nonsense. Once you get on a server with ‘Rabbit” or ‘KSC’ clans you have no chance at being anything other than cannon fodder unless you spend HUNDREDS. I watched all these videos believing their hype only to see those actions work in direct opposition to their words. They haven’t done anything to abate the complete dominance of these Unions who have OVERWHELMING numbers and DOMINATING strength, nothing. And after you get upset and mention something in Star Chat, that’s when the subtle racial jibes start playing out. The Devs have to do something about breaking these groups up, they’re killing server play. I know servers turn over after a few months, but inbetween they’re losing multitudes of players, even Unions. Devs: it’s time to put your actions into words, or was all that Dawn Celebration nonsense just more marketing? Don’t let more than one Rabbit or KSC Union on each server. I currently have at least 6 Rabbit Unions, so 600 Rabbits,(all with Gold ships) and the same as many KSC,etc (also Gold ships) . How can a Union of 100 fight 1,200 armed so well?

NETEASE DOES IT AGAIN!!!!

This is not like any other MMO out there. Wether you spend money or not, if you do not join a union and go to war with other players the game gets stagnant and dull. But if your union is at war, it is never dull, never insurmountable (even if your enemy is p2w), and the real key to victory regardless of money spent is ALWAYS teamwork. The basic ships are not bad, multiple strategies work very well, and p2w only gets you so far. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT LOSING STUFF!!! NO PAIN NO GAIN. The build times and cost are reasonable, and no one can take your resources, if your base is destroyed it just gets moved, and you can move right back after 24hrs. Essentially there is no motive to attack a weak player, you get nothing from it. If you want xp, then you need to take on a strong player that can put up a very long fight. The best xp is from pvp, and if ya got a good group this is nothing to fear but is instead very enjoyable…even when ya lose! In game communication is great and so is the community.Main issue is watching your action points which only regenerate with time and cannot be bought. Once gone your stuck until they regenerate. Keeps game balanced and keeps everyone in the game since a fleet can only win for so long before simply running out action points.Honestly brilliant and revolutionary game play. Thank you NETEASE!

Game with bugs

Simple and to the point. 1. The game resets. Yes, it resets after the gate is discovered and then moves your alliance into another region with others from different worlds. You start all over again with exception to blueprints and carry over modules. You finally get your fleet to near a top tier to find out it’s over and time to start again. Rinse and repeat.2. P2W (pay-to-win). You either get extremely lucky with opening ship boxes or you have generic fleets. For those that are not patient, you can spend to purchases boxes and upgrade till your hearts’ content. You are NOT guaranteed the best ships by spending, just the promise that after each time you may get them.3. Pathing of ships and incorrect ETAs ruin the game experience . On numerous occasions, myself and many alliance members were not able to meet at various rally points due to these issues. Examples: Simple 45 minute transfer flight turns into 4 hours. While warping, you unexpectedly stop warping and continue cruise speed. You are forced to retreat thus wasting enormous amounts of time including action points. 4. Exploits (& unlimited accounts. Exploits referring to “fishing” and using blockade commands to pull fleets out of their own zone. Unlimited accounts referring to players with IE 8+ accounts. In general though, overall attacking is good (if you are not affected by some of the above items). Beyond that, anything past season two I will not do for a third try.

Steaming hot garbage

Where to start. 1. Ships - their aim is worse then a storm trooper, their upgrades barely qualify as an upgrade, they are expensive when pared with the fact you can barely generate resources at a stable speed. 2. Events - they are beyond brutal, at least the one where they send constant waves of enemies to destroy your fleet that took HOURS UPON HOURS of waiting just to make. The waves seem to always be stronger then your fleet no matter what. 3. Research - oh boy. To get better ships you get a small chance to get them via research pod things. It could take you 1 or 2 pods or like me it could take you 18 just to get something decently good that you either A can’t even build yet or B can’t afford to build. 4. Difficulty Scaling - there isn’t one. Level 1-3 npcs are somewhat easy, after that the difficulty spikes insanely high which also happens to be the ones the waves event send at you. 5. Purchasing - specifically things like base shields like you see in EVERY OTHER base builder. A thing you pay for so your base doesn’t get raided. Ya those things, well they don’t exist here. As for the purchases that are in the game it’s useless junk you don’t even need. In conclusion this game is a waste of time, a game that thinks it’s a strategy base builder when it’s just a trash afk game
