Silly leveling system. Direct ripoff of Hay Day.

The leveling system is clearly designed just to force you to buy gems. When you level up a team member, the work levels up with them, even if it work to be done is labeled as level 1. And buildings cost more the more you level up. What? The chicken coop that I could buy pre level t for about 500, when I get to about level 10 it costs 1050. Why? Same number of birds, same space, not improvements at all..just doubles in price. Why. Just a blatant effort to get cash all the time. Don’t get me started an improvements to barn next silo. I was level 13 before I had the three simple items needed to upgrade either one. And no place to buy anything you need even if you had money. Really just a blatant Hay Day rip off…even nearly the exact same machines. Played 2 days, got tired of just sitting and waiting for energy for staff and exotics to increase. Last gripe…things you produce initially gain nearly no value (or none) over selling raw components. Examples are chicken and large animal feeds…I could get just as much just selling the grains as I can for the product. Just boring a sitting and waiting.

Pacing of game seems off.

Very addictive game, and I am enjoying it so far. The animals are adorable and I like the filling orders aspect. Although there seems to be a big pacing issue with the game. You can’t earn coins fast enough with the levels you gain. I am constantly having to debate unlocking a new area or building a new building/animal pen. For example, I currently have 2 new spaces to unlock as well as 3 buildings, and still need to buy apple trees. I never open the chests I get because I never have money or gems to spare. So they all get sold for 10 coins. The order board constantly asks for items you haven’t unlocked yet. Some items are locked behind animal quests and you don’t get enough strong exotics or elixirs to proceed with the quests, plus half the time you use your energy to get the fruit for orders instead of attempting the quests. I am constantly out of room in my silo and barn, and the tools to upgrade it come by pretty slow. Plus when you have to have 4 of each tool in your barn, it takes up 12 spaces of space you are already lacking. There’s also so many things going on at once.. sky race, food truck, boats, orders, visitors…. I would love to have some nice stockpiles in my barn to prepare me for all the different types of orders but I don’t have room. All in all I feel like the only way to keep up is to buy coins and gems, which ruins the game for me in a way. Happy farming!

Great game needing small tweaks

Love this game hence the 5 star rating. A lot of things to keep you busy, great graphics and the small daily freebies are nice. Money takes a while to accumulate considering you need it for expansions, to train exotic animals and farmhands etc. but if you keep crafting items eventually you get what you need. Building upgrade tools can be hard to get as well.Developers - It would be GREAT if I could swap animals out for homeless ones that can breed together instead of having to spend 2500 coins (that is hard to come by) to buy a new home when I already have 3 homes filled with ones that can’t breed. My 3 pig pens are full and I have 3 pigs wandering around homeless which to me is annoying to look at. I want the 10,000 coin pizza oven and currently have 1700 coins and I don’t want to have to purchase a 4th pig pen when an easy swap can save the day, thank you.I can otherwise tolerate things like the long time for energy to accumulate for exotic animal quests, long time it takes for some new buildings to finish getting built etc. Overall great game, love it and I will continue to enjoy playing!

It’s almost great, but still good

I thoroughly enjoy this game, I literally spend hours playing it. But that’s the problem, it’s so time consuming! The recycler takes 17 hours to build.. 17 hours?! What’s the next production building going to be?? I don’t think they should be done fast but I think the items you need more often should only take 30 seconds or 1 minute at most. Also most the missions require the items that take the longest to grow or make within a certain amount of time so that’s a little ridiculous. The boat orders always have items I haven’t even bought yet which is frustrating so I can never truly get all the points. The sky race is also a cool idea although the time limits seem a little short, we are human beings with real lives and there’s no way we can always be on our top game on a phone app.. like come on. I like that decorations or styles have their own currency in gems so you can save them up easier and it makes it feel rewarding. The exotic animal quest points also take way too long to recharge and makes it harder to do quests. I love the idea of random “rubbish” so you can collect wood, weeds and other materials but it costs too much energy. I love the idea of leveling up the characters as well although it should make the energy cost go down too so it’s easier. I also haven’t received a cow in my quest board in like 5 rotations and it’s getting harder to produce milk and cream because I can’t breed, I’ll update if I have anything else

So far so good just a few changes I’d like to see

I just started playing this game and I absolutely love it! The animals are very cute and the game has beautiful graphics. There’s a lot do (sending orders, building, breeding, expanding etc) and it’s an overall enjoyable and relaxing game. However, there are a few things that I’d like to see change. It’s early so I haven’t found any significant problems with the game yet just a few minor things that I think could be improved. The first and most obvious thing is that considering that breeding is a major focus in this game, it’s a little odd that there don’t seem to be any bulls or roosters only cows and hens. You’d think there would be both male and female animals. It just seems like a lack of attention to detail. (Here’s hoping we get rams too and not just ewes). Secondly I would love to see the game have day and night cycles as well as seasons. I just think this would make the game more immersive. Lastly, controlling the camera seems a little awkward and clunky at least on iPad. I’m hoping this gets fixed. Anyway that’s it for my issues with the game so far. Hopefully I won’t find many more as I continue playing.

Frustrating.

Update: This game is fun but so maddening. The bottom portion of my review is from 2 months ago where I describe my experience of the game freezing and I deleted and reinstalled the game of course, losing everything I gained in 20 levels. After reinstalling, it was great. I get up to level 43. Now (again) there’s a mandatory update and it’s stuck… again. The exact thing that happened the first time I installed it. So now, I can’t get past the upgrade tutorial. SERIOUSLY?! I’ve made SEVERAL purchases for this game and if it doesn’t resolve within the next few days, I’m deleting it and I will NOT reinstall it. It’s ridiculous!! 2 months ago: I’ve been playing FV3 for about a week. It’s been great but there’s been a hiccup. I paid $5 for the season pass. The game FORCES the player to go through the instructions to the season pass event and how it all works and the bonus perks you’ll receive. Great! I’ve bought season passes multiple times on another game. Here’s the issue: the tutorial will freeze up at the same point every time. I can’t get to my farm. I cannot do anything on the game UNTIL I go through that tutorial. Either allow experienced players X out of the tutorial or fix the bug that’s making it freeze. I’ve closed the game and opened again 3 times. Freezes. I went to my App Store to see if I can update, nope. Everything else is great with the game but fix the freeze. Surely I’m not the only one who has had this issue.

Money grab

When I found out that FarmVille 3 was coming out I was so excited. I talked to my husband about it for days before it finally was out for download. I’ve played it since it came out and I am beyond frustrated with the gameplay. I play FarmVille 2 Country Escape and have for years. Not one time have I had to pay for something with my own money to make the gameplay work. Not only are the wait times for crops ridiculously higher (1 hour for one corn, when in Country Escape it’s 2 mins and you get 2 corns) you’ll be waiting days - maybe even a week - to raise the coins to unlock areas. I’m level 16 and still cannot raise enough coins to purchase the sawmill expansion. A reason I think this is the case is because unlike Country Escape, you have to pay coins to plant the crops. If you want to get more coins, you have to plant more, which takes away coins you had saved. My excitement with this game lasted for about a week before I realized it was a money grab. I’m very disappointed. I know this review won’t change the future updates of this game, and it will more than likely continue to be a cash grab, but I want to let others coming from Country Escape know what they can expect from this game. It’s so unfortunate.

Very cute game-but lose the exotic animals

The graphics, music and gameplay are engaging. The animals are cute (the different breeds are clever) and I like the idea of the co-op, competition with others but also a little community to help one another. My major complaint about the game is the exotic animals. They do not add anything to the farm feel. The challenges are a game of luck and too difficult for me to progress. So currently, with a farm at level 29, I'm stuck at 8 with no weather booster or water tower unlocked. Very frustrating. Also, the exotics only take up space, and if you want to add better animals, you have to sacrifice useable land to build their habitats. Maybe I approach my “farm” from a more aesthetic or ecological standpoint, but I’m not clear-cutting everything to set up CAFO’s. When I explore other members farm’s, that’s pretty much all I see. Ditch the exotics and find another way to incorporate the items you win by playing- Now I only use those missions for avocados/pineapples/mangos/resin, since it takes too much “energy” to play a guessing game in my order to advance in exotic levels. But like I said, the rest of the game is very cute. PS Maybe adjust the “make” times for some of the items. Allow some farm animals to be sold before breeding.

Lots of problems - needs a lot of work to make it appealing

The game relies on the cuteness factor too much, and it takes too long to achieve most goals, the amount of currency or real money purchases is far too expensive for the items/upgrades received. That is one big disincentive so far. The energy needed to clear land, pursue the exotic animal quests, and acquire certain items (wood, clay, stone, etc.) is far too much, making play slow and arguably impossible at times. For instance, trying to clear land to rearrange or build is frustrating when you have weeds and wood reappearing but not enough energy to clear a space at one time. In my version, I have no means to make cream (at level 18 now) despite having all of the production buildings, cows, etc. I tried to contact Help & Support and the chat feature was atrocious. No means to email either, from what I can discern. In the chat feature, it restricts what you can input, demands my email (nope), and gives me choices not even relevant to my initial questions (about the cream). Oh, and acquiring animals is far too slow and expensive. They die after the baby is grown, and so it is a diminishing returns situation. Trying to acquire animals from deliveries is SLOW and you have no choice in the animal delivered - I don’t need more pigs. I’m already frustrated with this game and not getting enough satisfaction. Ready to delete.

Interesting

Easier version of original Farmville with lots of different quest going on but have to be smart and patient in this game if you are going to play without making a purchase. Hope you like pigs because you will get them 4 out of 6 creat drops to bad you are not allowed to sell them until they have mated and baby has grown. You would think that a farm would have a TOOL SHED to hold upgrade part separately from regular inventory but as with Country Escape its included in with your other inventory items, which can eat up to 20 slots in your inventory, suggest pick the one you want to increase and sell rest of parts. Use diamonds to increase work station slots Do Not waist earned diamonds on trunks not worth it, spent 100 diamonds on currency trunk got 200 coins should have been 2000. Keys are useless too because again will take up to 20 slots in inventory before you have enough to even use, sell those too not worth the items you will get and gives you more space for your inventory. Be prepared to use more energy to clear items as you advance in levels, tells you to train farmhand to save energy but doesn’t work that way after level 20 they use more energy than they use too.
