Great game, kind of…

I really liked the idea of this game at first, but after playing for a couple weeks I’ve realized this game has no interest in keeping you motivated to play. EVERTHING important that’s needed to make great advances in the game takes hours to craft and some items are only available in special events. The storage system is completely inadequate for the the sheer number of different items you have to craft, and as the game progresses you require more and more and more and more items. Items needed to send rafts on a voyage should not be a surprise and voyages should be editable. It’s so disappointing to find out I need so many items for rafts, so I give up and leave the game since I need 20 items that takes 1-2+ hours to craft or gather and I’m out of storage trying to get items for parrots. I’ll be shocked if it make it to day 25.

Could be a five star game

I really like this game. It's incredibly addicting. However, the game loses two stars for two very important reasons. The first is that the game occasionally gives you these things called “sand dollars” to spend. You use these “sand dollars” to purchase things along the way. The problem is that you can accidentally tap the sand dollar button very easily and there isn't a pop-up that asks you if you are sure that you want to use those sand dollars. So, if you fat finger a button, then the sand dollars are gone. So, if you spend money on the game, then that money is lost because the designers didn't think to create better space and add a pop-up. The second reason is that there is no way to contact the makers of the game via email or online form.Update- Thank you for the response. Why is the toggle for “confirm spending” initially set to the off position? Shouldn't that be in the on position from the start. Lastly, thank you for pointing out where the support form is. That was very helpful. Maybe that could be included in the game tutorial in the future.

Pleasantly surprised!

I had downloaded this game earlier but deleted it because it seemed like a lot of work. But playing one of my other time management games I saw an ad for it and decided to give it another try. I’m really glad that I did because even though it is kind of complicated, a lot of things to do at the same time, I’m finding it a lot of fun. It’s a little different from other time management games like Klondike in that it has a feeling like you’re really interacting with the characters more so than the other games I played. I’m not sure why that is, but it just seems a little bit more enjoyable. So anyway, so far it’s five stars with no glitches except one ad that didn’t fully load and I had to force start the game again. So give it a try & maybe you’ll see that it’s a little different than the other time management games that you’ve been playing, too.

Great Game

I enjoy the challenges, but it is also frustrating. For example, I am required to supply goods from facilities that I don’t have, and won’t be allowed to build for quite some time. Also, instead of making things difficult by requiring different types and quantities of goods, often it’s a ridiculous amount of resources -and who has the space to store all that as it’s collected? And then, to set sail, another ridiculous amount of resources is needed- and not things like food and water, blankets, cloth. You have to supply 15 units of sand! Or 10 units of melted wax! And next, why do you increase the cost to build anything exponentially? 100,000 gold coins to build a goat habitat ???? Why not need to collect sticks, stones, etc, and store them at the building site? I can’t even imagine what it will cost to build the glass blower facility or the bakery.

Highly enjoyable

It is enjoyable game although it requires a lot of patience and somewhat time consuming to get the stuff you need for specific clients or expedition trips to rescue survivors or treasure hunt. I only wish there was other ways that we can trade stuff with other people through network than to to dispose stuff that others could use. Helps free up room in the airplane for storage. Other than that, I would be more fun finding more animal survivors on islands than trying to find some in submarine (which is too much time consuming for a limited time) or watch ostrich babies grow from hatch eggs. Wish the air ballon dog wasn’t too expensive, $50 dollars , 100 dollars for more days of searching stuff, $10. Is all I could manage to save up which slower than the coin collections from parrot trips. Thanks for this fun game.

No whiners

Great game, love that it’s not violent or R-rated. Easy to play and understand. Good plot lines. Nice side activities. The game starts off easy and fast then gradually the buildings take longer to build and resources take longer to gather. Welcome to a game built for adults instead of 3-year-olds. Want a game that’s simple and quick? Play something made for toddlers. Want something that requires a little planning and strategy? This works. Plus, the time it takes to build things and forage is a great opportunity to go do something else like work or chores or take care of hygiene or live outside the electronics. After playin for several weeks with weak internet, I still haven’t had a single problem like some have whined about. Lucky me! The graphics are rustic and a little cartoonish but that lends to the light feel of the fame. It’s not hectic and stressful, which is a nice break from the grind. Thanks!

Love this game!

I really do enjoy this game! It’s the only one I’ve been playing daily since I’ve downloaded it. I like that there’s a bunch of different things to do! I’m nearing day 27 so there are a few changes or add ons I’m hoping to see: It would be cool to have the gatherers walk in the paths/roads when not gathering. Maybe even put the fire station to use and have a fire truck in the road at times. I think it would be nice to be able to load crates of resources in the parrot tree and lock them in as you continue to make more resources for the rest of the order. I really wish the pet shards needed to get a new pet were cut in half or at least make it easier to get more pet shards. I think the Team Network could go more in depth and add more things for the teams to participate in like group missions, etc. Also, It would be neat to be able to go onto the islands we’ve cleared off to gather new resources or even build. Overall, it’s a fun game and I laugh at the workers comments sometimes because they’re sassy. And I think The Sims music makes me want to be able to build more but I can’t 😂

Bugs will eat up your money & resources!!

Not only does this game not clear fog when you go on an expedition until you attempt to clear the same box of fog 4 times but it also doesn’t actually rescue the person it’s said to rescue after 3 attempts either (with a clear path) but definitely takes your money to do so. Every expedition has a goal so there should be no reason why expeditions will take your resources and then do absolutely nothing once it’s “complete”. I’ve reported this bug twice and it’s starting to happen daily. I have screen recordings to show but I still don’t have my money or in-game resources so there’s that. The fact that I’m 25 years old and am annoyed enough to go on here and write a review on a game says a lot 😂(I don’t write reviews, period) when it could easily be solved through support chats yet no one is doing anything about this bug or telling me where I can send the screen recordings! let alone returning my resources that take hours to produce in the game or sand dollars that I spend my real money on in a cash-grab game like this. Their customer support will not relay anything or tell you where to send these videos so they can actually dissect what’s wrong w their game but instead they will simply say “they aren’t sure” while it’s happening and wish you s great day 😂Nevermind the $100 I spent on sand dollars today. I’m probably go Ahead and dispute that

Fun 4 now, but keeps crashing!!!

I just started playing this game not too long ago and I have already reached Day 8! I have actually enjoyed my time in this app despite it constantly crashing! However, even on my way to that point, the game had crashed at least THREE times EACH for MANY simple and trivial tasks every now and then like sending gatherers and collecting/producing goods, as well as sending parrot deliveries even! And don’t get me STARTED on how many times it crashed when I opened the build menu and tried to even just INITIATE the where-you-wanna-build-it part of the process! And that leads me to my main reason for posting this review: I can’t get past the tutorial part in the beginning of Day 8 because of it crashing literally EVERY time I try to build the new campfire thing!!! I just don’t get it! No matter how many apps I offload from my iPod touch 6th generation’s memory, that doesn’t even seem to be affecting the crash rate of this pesky app! What gives?! It’s like you want me to actually STOP playing your game! And here I thought InnoGames was a GOOD video game company! Hah! That’s a big joke!

Do not waste your time on this game

This game is the epitome of the saying “hook, line, sinker” It starts out great. Your getting pets, constructing buildings, saving survivors. But once your hooked, you see that you can’t make any progress without spending an exuberant amount of cash. I played from day 1 and with every update the developers took away any means of playing without paying. Now don’t get me wrong. I will spend real cash on the games I play to support the developers hard work. But this was different, I’m not a new gamer and what I saw happen here was disgusting ! In a matter of months from the time the game was released, they started to squeeze us more and more for that cash. The result was that the people who actually did support the game with their hard earned cash, got squeezed more and more. I didn’t want to stop playing, I already dumped a lot of money and time into lost survivors, but they just want more and more. The final straw for me was when they took away the packs you could buy to help you advance in the game. The developers here are super greedy and they will nickel and dime you to death !
