Buggy Lately

I’ve been playing this app for a while and lately it’s been malfunctioning.If I touch one of my cards while we’re going around choosing suit, it’ll disappear and then I’m down a card to play and the game gets “stuck” without me able to play. I have to start a whole new game. Also, I play Farmer’s Hand and I’m the only player who can’t ‘go under’. It just doesn’t give me the option, while the computer players can. Lastly, and this is more playing style, but Rosalind as a partner, in Pro version, is terrible. She has me ‘pick it up’ 99% of the time when I’m dealing. It’s very frustrating. Comparatively, it’s one of the better ones out there, which sadly isn’t saying much.

Partner frequently seems to have no understanding of this game!

Completely agree with DrZombo, whoever made this game is NOT an experienced euchre player! When your partner over trumps you (I led left bar and she threw right bar, with a queen back, which was overtaken with the ace in a later throw, losing a point), is absolutely ridiculous! And yes, partner will order me to pick up a queen of trump, when they have maybe the king and that’s it?! And funny, opponents always seem to play the lone hands with the best possible strategy, however my partner will call, take 1st trick with a small trump, then lead an off suit for the 2nd throw??!! With the right and left bar still in hand???!!! I sometimes think my partner is trying to play “go fish” or something, because she is surely not playing euchre!!!! Good thing I guess, because I can stop wasting my time and delete this! SOMEONE DO BETTER!

Try another app instead

I can only assume this is an app sponsored by Tim Apple. It is clear to me based on all the past reviews that this developer does not care about our opinions. Yes, the ads are a problem. Even worse, the program “helps” you pick the correct card in every hand (even in the pro level). I don’t need your help. I fact, your pampering of players prevents them from being quality Euchre players. For those who know how to play the game correctly, know there is a consequence for not following suite. One more suggestion, double the price of your ads and reduce the number of ads by 1/2, we all win. Such a shame these people don’t care or respect us.

Predictable

Having played Euchre for over 50 years I’ve seen about everything that can happen in a game. Your site is far more predictable than real life. Very seldom do I as a dealer ever get support cards for the turn card or have support for my partners. Many times I have held a lay down loner and my partner order up thump with hardly anything. Partner very seldom leads trump when it is called for and we lose a trick to lose a point instead of getting two. Your site is a good compared to some of the other but it could stand some tweaking advice by some more knowledgeable Euchre players. I have had this happen too many times when my partner goes alone. My partner named trump and went alone. He took the first trick with a small trump then led back his possible loser the ace of diamonds which he lost. In his hand after he took the first trick were both trump jacks and the king of trump and the aces of diamonds. This type of play has happened too many times to be a mistake. Instead of a sure 4 points we get 1. Being bots it has to be programmed to do this. It is so wrong that it has to either be intentional or just plain ignorance of the game.

Okay, but almost too real

While I still think this is the best option out there at this point. It can be very frustrating playing at the Pro level and your partner does nonsensical things. Sometimes I wonder if this is intentional - like trying to mimic real life (human error). For example your partner ordering up a bower with nothing in their hand to support. Or your partner picking up an ace and calling trump with no power. Or ordering up a bower when you as the dealer could have gone alone. Maybe that would be the easiest enhancement. Don’t have partner/computer order up a bower every single time unless they have at least something to support. And yes, I need another hobby. Blame it on Covid. You can only watch so much Netflix.

Euchre

I have been playing this game now for quite a while I enjoy euchre. The only problem with this game is it is not set up properly you do not save your bowers to the end and play your aces first never. you have to draw out the suits that have been picked. I enjoy this game but I get very aggravated at times because I know you don’t have it set up correctly. The thing that upsets me the most is when my partner goes alone he plays his aces first you don’t do that especially if you have the left and the right you use it first to draw out Trump then you save your aces to the end it’s the same every time it’s programmed very incorrectly you really need to investigate this matter you probably have more people playing in reality the way it should be played but I can say this of the other games that I’ve played this is better then theirs. please see if you can change the programming in this and see if we can change the names of the players whenever we would like

Couple Fishy Issues

First, on loaner hands with really strong trump...both bowers and other trump...the computer partner/caller will lead early off-trump Aces first before bringing out all the opponents trump. Consequently, the opponents trump the Ace and stop the loaner dead in its tracks. That would NEVER happen in real-life games!Second, I’ve noticed that on the second time around on bidding, the computer opponents will call trump on basically nothing and their partner will be loaded with what they call. That’s kind of suspect. It’s a great game in terms of its set up and graphics. But, it needs to be tweaked a bit on its programming.

Easy to use

This version is much better than two others I tried. One of which had my “partner” ordering up Trump when he had few or none!Also, this is easy to see who dealt, what trump is, and running total of tricks/team.The “analyze” feature is helpful for learning, as well as hints, although I don’t always take the advice, often to my detriment so far. Quickly switched to the Pro version, although still have my partner’s bidding strategy set to standard. May try the aggressive in the future. Overall, highly recommend, especially if learning.

Too bad people r the way u are soooooo sad

Well thought this was a great game until the ads are now one after every hand and my partner is crazy at times and that’s done on purpose and I’m not paying for AD free I want to play to relax not to get more irritated and believe me Ur not going to make enough too make it worth ur while so why bother You would think with all that’s going on in this world we could stop being so greedy so sad it’s all come to this and Apple sure doesn’t need anymore either so would of gave this a 5 star but ads keep it down and also they want you too pay so bad as I’m sure Apple is right behind them that the games r rigged so they always get the good cards to call it and win how lame is that so sad u have to be crooked to put a game on here should b ashamed of your self and get a job like everyone else to make money (idiots)

Difficulty is not based on skill

Ads are annoying but part of a free app. What is most frustrating is that the “pro” version difficulty of this game has less to do with skill and more to do with getting a bad hand more often. Consistently dealt a poor hand when I or partner we’re dealer, or you have a good hand in the wrong suite. That happens a lot in Euchre, but it’s the increased frequency in your opponent’s consistently getting good hands (ex. Constantly getting a jack or Ace in a favorable suit, and/or having 4-5 of the 7 trump suit between them. It makes the game dull and frustrating as though this game of “chance” is rigged against you and makes it not fun to play.

Improve your skills and become a euchre expert! Play games with three different difficulty levels so you can work your way up to playing like a pro. Euchre Card Classic has many settings so you can configure the game to play with whichever rule variations you prefer including: farmer's hands, stick the dealer, game winning score, hints, undo button, and adjustable game play speeds for slow, standard, or fast play.

If you are new to the game, Euchre Card Classic has a rules view to teach you how to play. An analyze button can be turned on to help you evaluate your hand and pick a smart bid by simulating thousands of games and showing you likely round score outcomes. A hint button can be turned on to help you see what card the computer pro player would play in your situation. Extensive statistics are kept for wins/losses and success rate in making your bid. All cards are dealt randomly to all players, so the difference between the Easy, Standard, and Pro computer players is in how well they remember what cards have been played and how they choose to play the cards they are dealt.
