Great app
This app is much easier than using a real pegboard. My wife and I really enjoy the rivalry history. We do fumble the pegging from time-to-time but we are getting better at it. An undo button could help but that could also cause it’s own problem if we push it to many times.I only have problems when the pegs are close. Maybe have a button that locks the front peg. This would allow me to toggle it locked, then easily grab the peg behind it. It should probably lock the opposing players peg too. We have accidentally moved that too.Having 3 pegs could also solve the problem too.Bottom line, this is a great app. I’ve played 15 games so far and will continue to use this app.
Great in a pinch
We had a great experience using this on a flight recently when we left the board in the checked luggage but had a deck of cards on hand. Though we have the same challenge as others with moving pegs, it’s easily fixed and made us pay attention to the score. We used the discard analyzer a few times on my husband’s phone after completing hands. It was easy to use but seemed to not always be accurate. Example: I had a 4 card run at one point and it says max score for that hand was 2, which then led us to question the accuracy of the analytics. Aesthetically, the wood board choices are more attractive than others apps I see. Overall, it’s a fabulous free app to use when you have the cards but not the board! Thank you!
Great for playing cribbage anywhere!
Great app and frequently used when we go on vacation. Our parents gave us a cribbage board when we were first married - being able to score on our iPad keeps us playing more frequently. Love how it feels like we’re using a real cribbage board and appreciate the overall simplicity and elegance of the app. Great job!
The Greatest Cribbage Board
My dad taught me how to play cribbage when I was 7 years old. I am 77 years old now and still playing every day. The electronic board Jeff has introduced is absolutely fabulous. The ease in which it is to setup and maneuver can be accomplished by a youngster. I proved this by teaching my 7 year old granddaughter to play. She picked up the scoring procedure very quickly. Kudos to Jeff for a great product. Thank you!
No 'Undo' needed
This works great and I don't have to carry an actual cribbage board around anymore. In reading the reviews a lot of people complained there was no 'undo'. Well that's because you don't need one. If you move your peg to far or move the wrong one, simply drag the peg back to the right place. This works even if the other person has already moved there's!
No music, but gets the job done.
Gets the job done. Fairly easy to use. Real board is still significantly better because "touch screen" can become a problem with grabbing wrong pegs, but I can see the convenience of being able to have a board on you wherever. I don't play THAT much and any place I go on vacation where I'd want to play I'm smart enough to bring a board. At home I obviously have one. By far the biggest problem is not being able to listen to music. Idk about everyone else but when I'm playing cards with friends I'm listening to music; on ski trips, bachelor parties, hanging out with family... music is always a plus if not necessity and this game doesn't let you do both.
Great board!
It’s a great board. I like that it keeps track of win/losses. I just wish pegging was less of a problem. Perhaps the front peg should lock in place and have an unlock button for mistakes? I frequently grab the wrong peg and have troubles getting the pegs back to the right spot so I can grab the back peg. It would also help if the counter while pegging was always above the finger tip. Sometimes going around the corner it’s hidden by your finger making it difficult to peg.
Improve user interface
Undo is only necessary because the pegs are difficult to grab and move accurately. Undo or a score card/log to track the previous moves. I have to be very, very carful to select the correct peg and now I take note of the scores before to prevent errors... which happen. Please consider an improvement to automating peg moves by entering the score in the score box. I would rate 4 stars if the User interface was better and game progress and rivalry would sync between my iPhone and iPad using my account Game Center or similar.
Great app
I wholeheartedly agree with all of the positive comments from other reviewers. Undo button is unnecessary. Simply drag the peg backwards if you inadvertently pull your peg or your opponent's peg too far. Still, to that point, I love the suggestion to use tracks 1 and 3 if only 2 players. It would make it both easier to see the pegs and less likely to pull the opponent's. Only negative, unless I'm missing it, is skunking opponent only nets you one victory in the scoreboard, not two.
Forgot our board!
Forgot the board at home during ski vacation. What is a family to do? Might as well look in App Store and guess what, there is an app solution. This board came through pretty nicely. Found it extremely easy to use and no difficulty moving pegs. No undo button but didn't need it. Hopefully, they add to future updates just in case. Lastly, I won!
