DOES WORK WITH iOS 11.4

Even though you can’t connect through your home network, this software will connect to the LabelWriter Wireless via direct connect. It’s obvious if you read the instructions and set it up wirelessly. The only thing is you have to install software onto a computer and connect via USB to turn the access point back on.The features are fairly simplistic but it gets the job done much easier than trying to set up a template in Word and manually loading each envelope.

Really really terrible App

The ratio of one star to five star reviews says all you need to know. This App is a true PITA to use: it will NOT stay connected for more than a few seconds so every label I try to print requires reconnecting my phone. This would be bad enough but the reconnect button is at the very top of the screen almost completely covered by the Dynamic Island of my 14 Pro. I can barely get the tip of my fingernail to click it. When I do, instead of just reconnecting, the App takes me to a new page where I have to say Again that I want to reconnect and then it makes me wait for a scan of available printers before I can reconnect. Then, instead of returning me to my label, it wants a click on a back button which is also all the way at the top, this time on the left side which is very difficult to press! Doesn’t anybody over there ever test this stuff? I’ve got three label printers from this company, the one in my office on my desk has worked flawlessly for ten years or more as does the handheld one which is even older. I got the Dymo for labeling stuff in my workshop and it is taking me five times as long to print labels compared to the others. Wish I’d checked comments here before buying this printer.

Absolute crap

This is a horrible app. The app does not obey the bounds of the display, overlaying the top menu aight he phone’s status bar, and the bottom control appear underneath the home grip.Using the same exact label, and changing the text from Island, to Dining, results in completely different sized text “Dining” is half the label height, and Island is 3/4 of the label height. The same font, and the same border... if you want labels that look your way, forget about it, it is not possible. If you consistency, not possible. The design and the print out are. It equal. There is no tech support for the MobileLabeler or the iOS app either... go to their website, and it is like the two products don’t even exist.Stay Away from this brand.

Worst app ever!

The fact this app hasn’t been updated in a year tells me that this app and the label printer it was designed for was such a failure, that Dymo gave up and abandoned it. Works great if you print one 2 inch label a day. If you print more than one a day, you’ll be required to stand on one hand, touch your nose, and re-pair the Bluetooth while force closing the app at the same time.If you’d like a font size any bigger than microscopic, and your label has more that two characters, you’ll have to manually resize the label. Which with the lack of landscape mode, and no auto sizing feature, you’ll be required to have microscopic finger tips. Even my stylus was too big for this task. I’ll most likely return the printer and uninstall this junk. Maybe the Brother model is better.

This App Drops The Ball!

I use DYMO printers for my business and I am SHOCKED by how horrible this app is especially since it’s a DYMO app. When I came across the app I thought to myself that this product is the perfect example of a product that would do marvelous with an app making it so much more convenient, enjoyable and efficient to use Thor products but after using the app I soon found out how WRONG I was never I felt such a big corporation dropped the ball leaving (what seems like) hundreds of cust dissatisfied, disappointed and makes me kinda cringe inside that dymo refuses to focus on the importance of this app for a customer and businesses that uses their products on the daily. I have been checking back with crossed-fingers hoping that DYMO wakes up and updates this app but unfortunately seems as the only update on the app is the amount of 1-star-negative-reviews have accumulated throughout the years. I constantly re-download and delet the app in hopes that one day they will finally make it better but they don’t!

Features are adolescent

Although this app works ok I am also reviewing this app as a labeling solution.For a company that has been working on labeling solutions for decades this app is a toy. I’m not going to consider buying your connected products until this app has features that equal the rest of your product line. My purpose requires a compact solution and since I already have a phone this would be sleek and ideal. However this app kills the potential of the printer products. I would be willing to have advanced features as add ins or pay for a separate app that can give me solutions for industries. I expected this app to do as much as your other products with keyboards do but more intuitively and with sharing and saving. I hope this encourages you to expand your products and develop a more robust offering that will be compact and rich.

Listen to everyone else

Hopefully this review catches you before you waste money on this company’s printers. As an IT developed that specializes in mobile apps, DO NOT BUY. This app complied with little in the way of Apple iOS standards, has a broken Bluetooth stack and generally lacks any useful functionality. I have no idea what group of 2nd graders they had writing this app, but next time they need to toss them a few more fruit rollups so they make an actual useful product.

Can’t export/sync saved label files

I had no problems connecting and getting my wireless printer to print. Label creation in the app is fairly straightforward. My only gripe is that I want to be able to access my saved label templates from any of my iOS devices and not have to recreate every single label on each device. Seems like it would be simple enough to sync your label files across devices through iCloud.

Decent, functional app. Needs screen rotation desperately

Decent, basic app that does what I need it to. However, I use a keyboard case with my iPad and have to turn my head sideways to view the app and create labels. My case is quite heavy on the keyboard side, so picking it up to view in portrait mode is really annoying and difficult to balance. I would be forever grateful if they added screen rotation so it could be used in landscape mode.

Crude app ruins product potential

I regret buying the dymo mobilewriter, wish I had a labeler with a keypad. Changes I’d like to see:1) Make stable and resilient connections with printer. I’m constantly having to reconnect between labels. Major time waste.2) Why do I have to manually delete all text to create a new label... please add a button to clear label text.3) Why do I have to wait to enter the next label while the current label is printing? Can’t you handle the printing on a separate thread?!4) Rapid label mode, just let me enter several lines of text and then have the labeler print them each as a separate label.The labeler hardware plus app is a POS and waste of time... but it is really not the hardware, if they just spent sometime on user experience, it could dominate the market. Crazy.
