Bad data

Drift has gone downhill in the past 6 months. My entire team has noticed a huge increase in spam, fake users, etc. I continuously get notified one of my prospects is viewing our webpage and we later come to find it was actually my coworker and it was incorrectly labeling her work computer, that is registered to our company-- as a prospect who lives in another country?? There's no explanation for that... It has come to the point where our team knows not to trust any information. I'm consistently getting fake alerts of people requesting demos, etc. Were also starting to get fake spam form fills flooding our inbound team, and it's made it very difficult to get accurate data. The chat function is fine- but do not trust the data, ever. So spammy.

Has potential, but needs so, so much work.

This app freezes constantly. When I’m in a conversation with a visitor to my site, this app freezes about 6 or 7 times within about every 5 minutes of conversation. Every time it freezes, the only way to get back to the app being responsive is to force close the app and start it back up again, however, even that only works about 60% of the time. And once you get back to the conversation with a customer, so much time has passed that more often than not, they have already left the conversation. This service is great, and the app has a lot of potential, but in its current state it is almost unusable. I want it to be a pleasurable experience, but it just isn’t there yet.

Using the free version for now...

...and wish I’d installed this a year and a half ago. The ability for me to connect directly with a prospect and reduce-or-eliminate the entire process of hunting around our agency website for the information they need... and “hope” that we answer just the right question with content at the right moment... and jump right into helping them is indispensable. Love it.

Navigating “Open” or “Closed”

Its so easy to see whether conversations are “Open”, yet it is SO hard to find how to change the status. I go in circles every time! Hit “conversations” then it shows “Open”. Hit that to change status and it takes you to the conversation. It says “Open” so you hit that to try and change status, but it takes you to the “Open” conversations. I’ve “Closed” a bunch of conversations but cannot make sense of how I did it every time. You can’t swipe it closed. You can’t hit the “Open” to make it closed. You can’t hit the conversation to make it closed. Everything takes you in a circle back to either the status or the conversation. It’s like Groundhog Day!

Easy app

Easy peasey lemon squeezy!I kid you not I thought this was going to be the stupidest thing ever and total waste of time but the options you have of being alive or having a message pop up saying I’ll get to you as soon as I can, this app totally allows customers to write a message over something they’re currently looking at your website. You can’t afford not to have this.

Amazing!

I work at Drift so I’m a little biased :) but I really do love it. So far so good

I’m only using the free account as getting things like this pushed through in my company is a pain.I love the tools I have right now but adding in the calendar feature would be wonderful.For now I’m going to start testing with my profile page link page and measure my success that way. Hopefully building some sort of business case to take forward and returning her to move my rating to 5 star. Shouldn’t be hard to do if the capabilities I’ve seen work as well as the ones I’ve used!

Great chat s/w

Have compared the software to others available, and this has several benefits, including the fact that they keep track of all of the persons conversation so you can look at them across time, and they allow you to send a copy of the chat transcript to anyone you like. Two things I would like to see that would make it even better . 1. That you’re able to to add an internal note in the specific chat letting your colleagues know the outcome and steps you have taken ( it integrates with salesforce but if your CRM is diffErent than that does not work), 2. allow me to add a note to the sales channel when I forward the transcript

Game Changer for my business and Video in general

This is a game changer in video and email marketing - real-time chat / video hybrid - kudos to Drift - they know where video and new media is headed. Their foresight to develop a software tool to resolve the never ending phone tag and deep sea email inbox dead zone. Video is and will become video mail redesigned by Drift inc. Not only a conversation starter for me and my potential client - I think it will be the beginning of the end for standard emailing , texting , video marketing - now we can get on the path of real true video communication and video proposals.

How does this have almost 5 stars??

It’s unreal how bad this app is. The premise of the product is great, but I consistently and persistently have a major issue with notifications. I open the notification that someone sent a message. The result? A blank screen with no text. Quit, re-launch, sometimes the text appears. Other times it stays blank.Other times, I see the chat fine, the convo quiets down and I close the app. Prospect says something and I open the app… the conversation is completely out of order. What?!It’s unbelievable that our team has reported this multiple times with no resolution. It’s not just my device, everyone on my team sees the same behavior. Does Drift not care? Seems like it… the app is garbage and is in desperate need of bug fixes. Lastly, they took away the quick internal note function. Come on!! Now I have MORE taps to write an internal note? Have you done no user research? I wish we could nix this tool and use something else but it’s not my call.
