Awesome App! Proud Indian using this app

I recently came to India for a trip after covid(nearly 4 years). I could see UPI payments enabled on small shops too. Previously, I had to carry exact change to these shops. Now all I need to do is carry my phone. The app is seamless. The established 4G network works very well in combination of these UPI payments. I love it.

Good app

I am really glad to have this app on my phone. Being a relatively new user, I have my auto rickshaw fare once with BHIM, and also associated my UPI ID with Ola cabs. This app however, is not as robust on iOS as I would like. At times it suddenly quits on you, and you have to relaunch it. Other than that, it’s a great step towards making India a truly cashless society!

Absolutely excellent product

I rarely write reviews, but I am honestly impressed this time.I’ve used a multitude of cash transfer systems all over the world — both app-style cash transfer companies (eg, Venmo) and bank products (eg, bankAm cash transfer via Zelle).I prefer BHIM to all of the others. Clean, fast, and private (it’s easy to have two UPI addresses — one private, one public, etc.).I really don’t understand why this isn’t being pushed more. My only complaint with BHIM is about their marketing team! Why are products like PhonePe and PayTm all over the place while BHIM is not? I can pay for my dominoes pizza via almost anything, but I have to search for a bharatQr option in some sublist — everything from Airtel payments bank to jiocash to god knows what else is on the first page. Bhim’s marketing team needs to engage with all of these people and really push hard.

Very good! Convenience is a major plus!

Excellent for bank transfers. Sending and receiving money couldn't be made easier! Also, we are grateful that this app is available to download in the U.S. app store as well as the India app store.A feature that would make the app better would be the ability to transfer money between two bank accounts associated with the same UPI address (i.e. registered mobile number). Other improvements could include Apple Watch support and TouchID support.********************************************UPDATE: Still no support for Touch/Face ID. Bugs haven’t been ironed out completely. Apple Watch app would also be good.

Works like a charm! Every single time.

One of the best initiatives from Indian government towards unifying the payment method across the country. Probably got the best devs for this given the app works like magic, every time it needs to. Never made the payments so easily even when other digital wallets have been around for some time now in India. Cheers guys!

The best designed government app

As a digital product designer, I’m super proud of the work that the design team behind BHIM has accomplished - it even trumps the UX of some USA-based banks (PNC, Chase, etc.)When I’m abroad, I sometimes wish there could be an app that made payments a breeze and pleasure to do like in BHIM!All in all, congratulations to the team behind the National Payments Corporation of India that made this product possible!

It’s good but it could be better

This application is good, presumably that this is a government application :-).However this could be better. Workflow of application is hard it ask for login multiple times and not user friendly. It could use touchscreen password but it doesn’t use. Anyway given that government of India developed this application this is fine because we can expect more from government applications. I can not give 5 stars as for getting 5 stars this application has to be a lot more better, so I am giving it 4 stars.

Payment while overseas

I live overseas & in order to register to BHIM UPI, because I do not have mobile date access, it doesn’t let me register. Here they should let one use WiFi instead of mobile data for registering on the app in order if someone needs to make payment from overseas to India, just like how SBI, Union bank of India, etc is allowing to register to app even while living abroad. Please consider this option as there are times when someone needs to make payment for their properties or bills related to their properties in India while they are living overseas 🙏

Fantastic app; Font size needs to be bigger

The app is fantastic... single app for a bunch of things to be done from paying at participating stores to paying bills. However, the font size of the payment receipt is so small that the vendor has to squint to read if the customer has really paid or not. All the developers have to do is to use the real estate on the screen to show the Rs amount in huge font... so that just showing your phone to the vendor is believable and sure.

Version 1.6.2 update is total failure.

Upi app and features are awesome & using for last 1 year. Educated at least 10 people on it advantages and usage. But recent update v1.6.2 is full of issues.1) firstly my prior version of app failed to login with pin date release of v1.6.22) update was not available for at least 24hrs.3) In meanwhile tried uninstall and reinstall but didn’t let me reregister.4) after updating to v1.6.2 “verify mobile failed” even after 40 sms out which 6 sms received “your registration for UPI app has started. If it is not you please report now to your bank. Don’t share card details/OTP to avoid any financial loss.” As long as 10-12hrs.5) seriously something wrong with Authenticating process server. Full waste of time in registration.Issues not addressed immediately then it is better to move respective Banks version of BHIM Which working flawlessly.Another example why people hate Government services which takes off at very high note but get screwed up with lethargic attitude.-Sunil
