App not fixed for iOS 11.2
I’m wondering when Autel will read these reviews and fix the problem. Incidentally the entire support staff is in Vegas so the bragged about customer support line is a message that says “we’re in Vegas send us an email”. Frustrated doesn’t begin to express my disappointment. Their refusal to address a known issue is forcing me to consider a switch to dgi, at least they have third party apps that work so I can get my work done.
Autel makes the best drone and control app
Autel Robotics makes the best 4K drone on the public market.I have logged hundreds of miles on my X-star Premium drone. I was always the skeptic with drone purchases and had seen many people waste their money on DJI that crush the blacks with terrible cameras. The 4K Sony CCD that comes with Autel x-star premium system is flawless and allows editing the blacks. The app functions perfect with the drone.
Extraordinarily good drone & app
I’ve owned my X-Star Premium for ~ 6 months now and am extremely satisfied. I own an aerial production company which I use the X-Star for filming and with exception of the limited flying distance between the controller and the aircraft, I have no other complaints.
Best in the industry
The X-Star Premium drone is SO easy to fly and captures unbelievable footage and photos. Everyone raves about DJI simply because they’re “the brand” but you can get a better quality, user friendly, high tech video drone with Autel Robotics instead for a better price and better service experience. 10/10
Best customer service ever!!!
I had an issue with my drone I called them and hung up before anybody answered thinking it’s just gonna be a waste of time. Within 2 minutes I get a call from them and they assisted me with my issue . Never had such great customer service, for that I’m a loyal customer.
Distance and Video response has plummeted
After applying this update my X-Star Premium has become my least favorite drone to fly. It seems like it is stuck in beginners mode. The video dropout it horrible now, and this is when flying where there aren’t any homes. I am talking about pure farmland in AR. I have now put this drone away until another update comes out, and have gone back to flying my DJI Phantom 4. I have had my Phantom 4 for many months before buying my X-Star Premium. When I started flying the Aurelia it quickly became my favorite over the DJI, but like I mentioned that has reversed for now. Come on Autel! Release a new update with more video power from the controller. I wish my Autel flew like it did before the update.
Autel Support is Awesome
App works fine. Does not crash, allows you to fly anywhere.Support is incredible. My bird is the older X-Star Premium but have just not had any trouble with but the battery and Autel made that up very quickly. I wish other companies responded with this type of service!
Please help your Loyal customers
Will you guys please help us out an fix the app an make it work with newer iOS 13 it’s not right that we spend a lot of money just to not be able to get the full capabilities it offers I know you guys can find the time to if that’s the case have a system that buys your own drones back do to these issues. Please help tho cause I do not want to get rid of your drones at all I love your team an your products can’t wait till the evo 2 is finally shipping please do the right thing autel please. Keep flying stay safe
Great, but will give 5 Stars when further functions released
Autel Robotics could be considered the underdog in the drone world, however they are really kind of the best kept secret. Their customer service is top notch and always professional. They offer their customers a more personal experience, rather than just being a number. They also listen to the feedback of their customers, including requests and suggestions in their updates. The reason for the 4 stars is the current lack of live streaming capabilities and tracking options on the drone. Once these are implemented I will be changing to 5 stars. Hopefully, we will see the release of the 20MP camera very soon as for now I am holding off on another drone purchase awaiting this.
