Impressive flight software 😎👍

After years of flying DJI, I picked up a Autel Nano+. I find myself at home with the function choices the developers made, everything is right where I’d expect it. The app has been solid on my 14PM and makes use of the outdoor brightness capabilities of my phone. Now lets talk about privacy. I love the fact that “No data is collected” by this app. I also appreciate Autel does not even require me to set up an account to fly my drone. I’m so satisfied with both the hardware and this flight software, I can without hesitation say Autel Sky is worthy of all five stars.

Last App update issue

Since the last update, my iPhone overheated within 40 seconds and dim the display to a point I had to RTH because I couldn’t see anything on the screen. My iPhone was on the latest firmware way before this app update so I know it’s not iPhone firmware update. According to FB forums, I’m not the only one. (Nano+). I got the same results on iPhone SE and iPhone X. iPhone X OS is not the latest but it still overheated.

Aperture control?

Apparently there is no way to control aperture with this app using the Autel Evo Lite+, which does have adjustable aperture. (If one could adjust it.) It works fine with the Android version of the app, so why not IOS? Using latest Autel Firmware on the drone (V 1.5.33) and Autel Sky app version 1.4.5.1.

Great camera but needs serious improvement

First, I have to say that Nano+ is the best camera mini drone as of this date. No doubt about it. However, there are some serious iOS app issues that need to be addressed immediately, like the fact that the remote controller doesn’t charge the iPhone when OTG cable is connected and drains the phone’s battery very quickly! I tested it with an Android phone and it charges the phone with no problem. Another thing is that the cameras “Pro” settings (P, M, S) do not work at all in the iOS app for me. I can’t change the EV, WB, ISO, Shutter Speed, etc. And when I try it several times, all of the icon/interface buttons of the app mysteriously disappear and ends up freezing where I have to restart the app again—lucky for me I was grounded at the time but I’m definitely not happy or secure about this happening if I was in mid flight. That’s a serious safety issue there. Also, there are many features missing or not available in the iOS app like Night Mode, Active Tracking, Gimbal Sensitivity, Histogram, Anti-Aliasing, etc. Especially with the the top notch camera that it has, these should be available right out of the box and they aren’t. I mainly use iOS devices, so I’m really hoping that Autel fixes all of these bugs and serious issues ASAP and adds all of the missing features for the Nano+ if not, then it’s just a waste of hard earned money gone poof. This is a very expensive product for it not to be up to par or working properly. So PLEASE FIX THE APP AND FIRMWARE!Thank you in advance,Frustrated Customer 🤦‍♂️

Flight logs?

When their drone drops out of the sky and they request flight logs, you try to upload and the app fails to upload flight logs. What are you supposed to do?

Not compatible with the new Ipad Pro M2

I recently purchase an Ipad Pro 11 4Gen with the M2 chip. But this Autel app is not compatible with this device. My Ipad works great with my other DJI drones but the app don’t even recognize the Ipad. Autel can you please do an update to this app to correct this issue.

No aperture control for Lite Plus
