Must have for anyone with a smart device

If you regular browse the internet in any form you are likely annoyed by AMP links even if you might not know that’s what they are called. This app is inexpensive and super helpful and removing a common annoyance from the online world. Additionally the developer has shown time and time again how trustworthy they are as well as the thought and care put into the apps they develop.

Works as stated but…

Works as advertised but Unfortunately if you go to a site like Google News and click on a link to an article, when you hit the back button, you lose your place on the previous page causing you to have to scroll all the way back down to find where you left off. In other words I think the cache for the previous page gets deleted somehow. It does work but unfortunately having to find my place on the previous page is an annoyance worse than the amppage itself for me.

An App that finally solves my #1 frustration with mobile web browsing

I have never purchased an app so quickly after learning of its existence. I would have gladly paid $10+ if that’s what it took to end the curse of Google’s AMP feature. However, I cannot overstate how wild it is to have to pay for a third party extension to turn off something that Google should allow you to turn off.I cannot think of how many times I have become frustrated over the last few years when clicking a news article from a Google search and being met with a half-loaded webpage with jumbled-up formatting. Even when I didn’t realize I was viewing an AMP link, I was painfully reminded that I was doing so whenever I wanted to re-read something at the beginning of the article, tapped the top of my screen to instantly scroll up, but nothing happened. This app does exactly what it states it does and it is worth every penny to no longer have to deal with AMP. Huge shout out to the developer, Christian Selig, who first managed to create the perfect Reddit app, Apollo, and has now managed to make web browsing 10x easier!

Finally!! No more AMP links in search results!!!

I haaaate AMP links. They seem to be more and more common and they always break page formatting or cause other problems. I’ve wanted something like this forever (or, ya know, for Google to just gave me the option to opt out…which they’ll never do). This extension works perfectly, redirects instantly, is open source, and is programmed by the developer of Apollo who I trust as much as it’s possible to trust any app developer. I enabled it for all sites and haven’t looked back.Thank you sooooooo muuuuuch for making this!!!!

AMP Ruined Mobile Browsing, AMPlosion Fixed It

AMP is a thinly-veiled excuse for Google to steal page views from the rest of the internet, while simultaneously wrecking web browsing on mobile devices. It’s pure evil. AMPLosion restores the browsing experience to users and returns clicks back to the people that earned them.Just a fantastic idea excellent executed. Thanks!

This extension is the best iOS 15 feature!

I hate AMP sites with a passion, so much so that I stopped using Google as my search engine, even though it has the best results. AMP takes up extra screen real estate, makes it harder to copy web addresses, often breaks website features like embedded videos, breaks Safari features like Reader View, and can even cause issues like stuttering when scrolling. FINALLY, thanks to this extension, I can change my search engine back to Google!

Nearly Perfect

If you’re like many, Google Amp is annoying and it’s caused you to look at using different search engines solely to get away from it. This app does exactly what is says and it automatically bypasses Google’s Amp garbage. I’m giving this product 4 stars solely because it does seem to have slowed down my overall Safari experience. Hopefully optimizations come in future updates and if they do, I will give it 5 stars. Well worth the $3.

I have never spent $2.99 so fast.

Are you fed up with Google opening links in their own viewer making the page not fit on the screen, not scroll properly, and not load properly? This IMMEDIATELY fixes that issue and I’ve never been happier about that. I’ve searched for a solution to this for a whiiiile and finally this exists!

Huge frustration saver

(Quick note, from here until you see the word “goop”, my review is much more enjoyable if spoken in a British accent and imagined to be set in medieval Europe. I promise it’s worth it.)Once upon a time, all websites on the land allowed their readers to use the Great Reader Mode. All websites could decide how user data would be collected. All websites could decide what advertisements they would serve, if they so desired. Later on, Google decided to make the Internet “faster” by creating AMP. Its goal of speed was not noticed by many, and prevented the use of the sacred Great Reader Mode. This grievance alone was revolting, but Google imposed certain requirements on websites with AMP regarding advertisements and data collection. Google was abusing its tyrannical rule. But, all was not lost. One day, a programmer had had enough, and decided to challenge AMP to a jousting match—and won. goopSilly medieval stories aside, Amplosion is truly a frustration saver. I no longer have to go through multiple submenus to access the original website to use the reader mode. I also want to give websites and the staff that run them the freedom and flexibility to do whatever they want with ads and privacy.
