What more could you ask for?

I’m going on 3 years or so using this application, and I don’t ever see myself stopping unless similar functionality is added to iOS out of the box. The gap that this application fills for iOS functionality is an absolute necessity in how I use my phone. Not only does this perform flawlessly in its given task, Tim takes feedback and implements feature requests if he can. Love this application, will continue to be a long time user! Awesome!

Fantastic Utility

Exceptionally great for music! It does everything it says on the tin, giving you the control of what app you open links in. It’s the control that should frankly be built into iOS. But beyond what should just ‘be built-in,’ it’s got tons of added utility too. It saves me tons of time opening links I see online to a specific music service in my preferred streaming service! That’s a feature I couldn’t ever expect iOS to do on its own. And it does so much more.

Misleading

Not sure why this app has to be more complicated than not but it does not automate opening links as it says. After clicking link, you have to press share button via safari which then opens app. I spent 30 minutes trying to figure out how to auto open links straight to the app, also no help on Google. From what other reviews say, it will just remember the app you opened with, but links will open to safari, and you must click the share button, then select opener for it to open the app you chose. I ended up trying another app and had all my links opening automatically without share button in safari within 2 minutes. If it is user error I apologize but some documentation or better description to get this working would be helpful, but seems counterintuitive to have to open a link and then point it to the app, just open the link in the app directly lol

🥇AMAZING APP & SERVICE SUPPORT

Continues to be not only one of my most used and treasured apps, but also one of the most consistently stable. Sadly so many developers get caught up in wanting to make nonstop updates that sometimes can even end up ruining what once was an awesome useful app. Thankfully this developer is one of the few that puts "user experience & app stability" as a #1 priority. Which is why I will continue to rant and rave about this app with as many people who are willing to allow me to introduce them to an app resource that they never knew they always needed. So useful it will make you wonder why iOS doesn't have this feature built in by default.𝙈𝙮 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙍𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ THEY ADDED MUSI SUPPORT! I can't say enough positive things about the quality of customer service and support offered by this apps developer Tim. Tim not only promptly responded to my email asking for the app Musi to be added as an option in Opener but even after informing me that my request would not function if added because of an issue on Musi's side. He still went above and beyond by getting in contact with the other developers until he was able to make my request happen. If that's not awesome developer support I don't know what is.

Been using for years now

One of the most useful apps I have and it's buried in a folder somewhere and I never actually open the app besides setting the initial options years ago. I think it was a dollar or two when I got it not sure about now but trust me (and all the other reviews) it's definitely worth the price.

The only way I could see the picture is by looking in my phone to find it on the right hand corner and I don’t know what to look at the right side and then it will say I have a new one but it won’t say what I want it is it just says I want it on my right side but it won’t show on my left and it doesn’t say anything about the left or the left or the other one so I’m wondering why it’s there and if it was on my other one but it says something else so it’s not showing up on my other one

This is worth every penny

I’ve honestly grown so use to having this app. It is so well implemented it only takes a few steps to open in my favorite apps. If I could give any feedback then I would suggest to allow us to select a default app to launch then automatically load that app. I would say something similar to the way the Siri shortcuts app opens then launches an application the shortcut is set to. If you could remove one of the two clicks it takes to open the application it would make Opener even more amazing.

Unreplaceable

This was the first app I remember purchasing once IPhone became my daily driver.I even had to repurchase when I lost access to my previous apple account.I love that it’s an affordable app, something that you don’t see much anymore. That is always much appreciated. The app is there during those frustrating moments you’re having trying to open a link or file on the correct app and the share sheet just isn’t getting you where you need. You’ll wonder why it’s not just native once you get to use to it. You also won’t wanna go back to the dark age when Opener wasn’t apart of your iOS toolset. It just works. Just get it! Costs less than a gallon of gas, so what are you waiting for?

Maybe I misunderstood…

I’m not sure what this offers for apps that already have the extension for opening via the share menu. For example, Apollo allows you to do this natively through the app. I click a Reddit link, it pulls up the god-awful Reddit mobile site, I tap share, then open in Apollo. From what I can tell Opener has the exact same functionality except you can customize other links with other apps that don’t support this natively (which is cool to have, so there is that).I was under the impression that I could use this tool to click Reddit links from anywhere in iOS and have them automatically launch Apollo. No sharing menu, no copying URLs, etc. I’m happy to be corrected if I’m way off base here but if not I just wanted other potential users to know this.

Description

Opener is an app that allows you to open links from the web in apps instead! Copy a link and launch Opener to see the apps that it can be opened in, or use Opener's action extension right from other apps! Opener currently supports over 280 apps with more being added all the time.

In addition to opening links in apps, Opener also supports: - Opening links in any browser of your choice. - Previewing links from a variety of popular services using 3D Touch. - Opening the Google AMP version of pages, which are significantly faster than normal web pages.
