Not sure why all the hate. My title company uses this, and it saved me a 2 hour round trip to drop off a check. I was able to register, find my title company, link my bank account, and pay earnest and option money from my living room. Title confirmed receipt within 30 minutes.
Not sure how anyone is even using this app. I tried to register. It wanted me to use a passcode they sent me but when I do, it doesn’t allow me to sign in…. It says Validation error….missing credentials. So when I try registering, it says I’m already registered. So there’s no way to even get into it since the only two options are sign in or register. Someone should be fired for creating this app.
Absolutely the worse app in history. Does not work. I would never do business with any company using the app if I could but since I don’t get to chose the title company I have no choice. Only companies who are NOT dependent on good customer service use this app so watch out you are about to get burned. You need to take a picture of a check to get the routing numbers off it. I would say this was laziness but it is because this condescending company thinks you are too stupid to understanding routing numbers. I don’t have checks. Why does everything need to be done on your phone. The iPad app won’t work. Had to switch to iPhone after spending an hour getting registered. Entered all the info with my thumbs then crashed because you can only take a picture of check no option to type in routing and account numbers.
I almost didn’t download this because of the bad reviews, but I ran out of checks so I didn’t have much of a choice. Thank goodness I did because in a few minutes I had submitted my earnest money & could get back to work without even leaving my office.
very impressed at how easy it is to use. received a receipt via email afterwards. developers, it’d be great to be able to see within the app, that status of the emd/ transfer/ etc. or see previously submitted EMDs, all in one place within the app.l
This app was recommended to be used to facilitate a wire transfer for purchasing a new home. Using this app was very clunky and the wire transfer took money out of a savings account instead of a checking account and created a massive inconvenience. Upon this transaction, my bank calls me about 10 days later only to tell me there has been fraudulent chargers on the same savings account the application had access to. 10k in fraudulent wire transactions were attempted and luckily caught. Of course, they deny and claims and stated that the initial wire transfer went through accurately and correctly, and it clearly didn’t. Don’t use this app or any firm that is going to push you to use it. Stay away!
I would much rather just do a physical check so I know nothing gets lost. They had me wire it, the process was confusing, and ultimately it ended up at the wrong branch and they wouldn't just transfer it to the correct branch. Instead they rejected it and are making us resubmit everything. Please come up w a less confusing app or take the physical check.
I’m an out of town buyer and found the ZOCCAM app easy and intuitive to use. I was able to get a check to the title company on my first attempt. I probably won’t use it much, but it made the transaction simple.
Crashed every single time I tried to attach the purchase agreement. And even if it worked, it did it in an oddball way by opening the iOS mail app. First, my default mail app is set to GMail. Second, why not give me the option to just browse to it in my iCloud Drive like every other app on earth? It also assumed that the seller had a first and last name when I was purchasing a condo from an LLC, I had to put in X for the last name. But the worst part by far was trying to send the money electronically. I linked it to my bank, and it only gave me the option to use my checking account, not the savings account I had the money in. So I transferred the money to checking and tried again, and it said I had insufficient funds. It didn’t re-query the bank for an updated balance, even after deleting the app and reinstalling it. I had to write out a paper check. And don’t get me started on the terrible iPad support. Making everything huge and pixelated instead of properly making the UI responsive is just pure laziness. Don’t bother with iPad support at all if you’re going to do that.I’m glad I only needed to use this app once.
It’s 2022 and the rest of the developed world has moved on from checks and check images. I haven’t owned personal checks for years. The shredded checks went in the dumpster with a fax machine many years ago. I had no expectation that I’d be able to use a card, I know title companies don’t do that. But would ACH really be so hard to implement?Pretty ridiculous that I had to drop everything on a Saturday morning and rush to the bank to buy a check… that I’m supposed to take a bloody picture of?! In the first world this payment would have been handled through online banking or even possible by way of an ATM.
ZOCCAM uses mobile remote deposit capture to send funds and documents to the escrow agent.
