Toddler and parent friendly

A Classic song. Perfect interactivity for the preschool set. My toddler is OBSESSED with popping the bubbles. I love that there are are so many music options (different voices, instruments, languages) -- so I don't have to hear the same thing over and over again! :)

Our all-time favorite!!!

So happy to see that our all-time favorite app is now on the iPad. And, it's even better on the large screen! My 2 and 4 year old girls can't get enough of it. They especially like trying all the languages and trying to mimick them.

Ugh.

Another app downloaded due to raving reviews, and it doesn't measure up. Not thrilled with the basic over all tone of music and man singing, actually, really annoying. My 2 yr. old paused and looked at me as if to say...and...? What do I do next ma? And, this isn't the song I usually sing....Cute, but wish I saved the money or invested in something more educational, and therefore, more challenging, which any good parent knows is the equation needed for a toddler to maintain interest in the item (for more than one use, that is).

Not as good as non-HD version

My first complaint is that the pages turn the incorrect way (left to right). This is totally wrong when trying to introduce early literacy skills to young kids. The non-HD version turns the pages correctly (right to left) as a person would do while reading a book. My second complaint is that this version is missing some of the interactive pieces that the non-HD version has, such as the chicken sign in this version does NOT make the chicken sounds. Also, there are no colorful butterflies or sunlight rays in this version while the bus. Rolls along.

Nice little game

My son really loves the wheels on the bus song. He's only 14 mos., so I have to swipe all of the screens and interact for now (he's more touch than swipe right now), but he loves to watch the interactions for each. There are 8 screens in all for you to interact with. If you like this one, I would also recommend the itsy bitsy spider app (although that one just has 2 screens, but the interactions are much easier in that one for a small toddler.)

Cute!!

Love the graphics and the way things move when you touch them. colors, sound, actions are all great. Have to agree with another review that it is limited but again it may be the best for very young children. would be great if it included other parts of the song like the engine goes vroom, vroom vroom, or the driver says move on back, the baby goes wha wha wha, the horn goes beep beep beep, and maybe another unique one like the baker!! Definetly a good buy!

Babies Only

If you want to entertain a child two and under, this is cute. The screen shots portray almost the entire app. There are only a couple more screens. On each page, you can make two or three things move by tapping or swiping. There are arrows on each page so you can go back or forward. But the pages do not turn themselves and the corresponding portion of the song continually repeats until u hit the next page. So whenever u change pages the song is interrupted to go to the next verse. When u get to the last page - which is pretty darn quick - the app starts from the beginning again with no warning. It's a continual loop. I thought we had done something wrong. There are no coloring pages, no words to follow along with the song, no real choices to make, no puzzles, no games. There is a menu for musical instruments and voices that is unique and entertaining, particularly where it allows u to record your own voice. But this app is rapidly boring to children over 2. This is a perfect example of a pervasive problem with these apps for children - there is nothing reliable to give u an age range and no way to narrow your search within the category of children's apps. And frankly Apple, the indication on this app that it is 4+ - which I assume is an age range altho that is on most all your children's apps - is misleading. I really wonder if anyone actually rates these and if they have children.

Lots of FUN!

The description in the AppStore does't really give good guidance on the age group this app is intended for. It is really meant for vey young kids (infants/preschoolers). For them, Wheels on the Bus provides tons of fun. My 2 year old son LOVES it. The app is all musical and interactive. You can have the song a played in many different languages and even rerecord it with your own voice (something my 5 year old loves). Everything you press on the screen does something unexpected. I took off one star because the replay value is a bit limited. I would have liked more variation. But then again, my kids always ask me to read the same story to them over-and-over again so the simplicity of this app may be it's biggest strength.

Music never stops

My 2 year old loves this app but I wish the developers would kill the music when the game isn’t live on the screen. The music stays on even when the iPad goes to lock screen

No real change from iPhone version

Its a great application and my daughter loves both iPhone and iPad versions. I was a bit disappointed that Duck Duck Goose didn't add any additional functionality to the iPad game. If you have the iPhone version today and are thinking of upgrading you might want to see if it is OK for your little one as is - the only change here are better defined graphics.
