Enormous time saver! Fantastic app!

I use this app all the time. I do movie reviews and write my scripts first about my thoughts as I enter the theater… and then use this app to make it look as though I can remember all of my thoughts. I have to speak of many details including the director’s name, actors, and other information about the film I think is relevant. Best tool ever! See it in use by checking out a few of my reviews on you tube. Search “Gator McKlusky Reviews”. Check out my “Ghostbusters Afterlife” review. Also “No Time To Die” and “Dune”. The openings for those all done using this app. The best part is how it draws your eyes to the camera so you are looking at your audience instead of your face. Simply elegant

Like few things today- it just works as you “hope” it would. Which when it does - exceeds our expectations. No complexity - just great functionality. I’ve used it since the app was created and the support and functions keep getting better! Get the pro version- the basic is super functional- (rare for an app to have a basic - strong app as well!) the Pro gives a few more options well worth the upgrade.Loving it !

A Great Video Teleprompter

I have been looking for an affordable, easy-to-use, and reliable video Teleprompter that I could use with my iPhone for making videos for social media. My search came to an end when I came across the Video Teleprompter by Joe Allen. I was not disappointed at all. This is ideal for anyone who would like to read a script when making a video with an iPhone or iPad. It’s very easy to use and allows the user to create a script in the application itself or import a word document. I’ve been using it for a few days to learn the system, and I’ve been very happy with its simplicity and functionality. Most importantly, the customer support is outstanding. Whenever I made an inquiry through its help system, I’ve received a response in less than 24 hours with answers right to the point, a rarity these days. I highly recommend this app for anyone who is looking for an affordable Teleprompter.

DJ/Producer/promoter/artist relations specialist etc

I’ve been in radio and records in the music business for over 35 years and often I’ve been asked to do video testimonials and video drops and mentions. This app makes it so easy and effortless because you don’t have to memorize what you say and you can edit your script and practice exactly why you’re going to say and how you are going to say it. I highly recommend this app to any one in Entertaiment or politics and of course public speaking professionals!

Worked well for our movies

I used a USB cord to connect my iPad to a large TV monitor so that the performers (mostly the emcee) on stage could read the script posted on the teleprompter from my iPad. The main camera was adjacent to the monitor. Worked great! This would have worked from my iPhone, too, but I’m more comfortable with the iPad for such things.At another time when I was recording single actors, I placed the iPad on a platform mounted to a tripod slightly in front of and barely below my camera. The actors could easily read the teleprompter and because the iPad was in front of the camera, it appeared that the actor was looking directly into the camera lens.

Self-tape auditions? That’s a wrap!

Whether you have 1 audition request or 7 in a week’s time, your life will be made easier with this product, used skillfully. I’m stressed when I have 24 hours notice before a tv or film audition is due - maybe my day or evening is already earmarked to babysit or spend time with hubby or friends or a meeting or doctor’s appointment...or another audition. The relatively inexpensive price of this product is well worth it. Plus this app is the best supported app that I use. The app developer really did respond to my inquiries within 24 hours each time. And his response specifically addressed my comments, unlike some other app developers who either didn’t carefully read my email or simply tapped an auto-response button. Great cadre of products and great support by this developer. I highly recommend Video Teleprompter.

Best teleprompter EVER!

During this Covid-19 pandemic, I was faced with delivering our high school PTA scholarship winners via video. This app allowed me and my friend to record and submit a fantastic presentation worthy of publishing by the high school administration on multiple social media sites. The Teleprompter 3 app was easy to figure out, uploading the text was a snap, and editing the text on the fly was like having you anticipate my need (aka change of verbiage once recording). I cannot wsigbyo experimentvwith this for other upcoming opportunities. Thank you! Only think I’d change/add is an option for laptop use. I’m 50 and having a larger screen from which to work WOTHOUT wearing glasses would be great!

Great features, worth the upgrade!

Actors are doing more and more video self-taped auditions and this teleprompter is the perfect “cheat,” especially(as noted in other reviews) if you’ve got a lot of lines to deliver in a short turnaround time. Robust, stable performance, easily managed features and some great perks like adding a virtual background (which you can add *after* you’ve recorded against a green screen, not live like Zoom), live captions, and ability to change fonts and layouts. Fans of broadcast-quality teleprompters will find the AppleColorEmoji font to be the most familiar in terms of readability. I like the option to toggle between continuous scrolling (like a news broadcast, e.g.) and page-turn advancing for slide shows and presentations. One tiny mod I would love to see (as an actor) would be the option to jump to the next paragraph/line break. This would make reading an audition script with a partner much easier, in that you could skip to your next line without waiting for your partner’s text to scroll by. But other than that “wishlist” feature, this is a great app!

Solved My Problems

I’m not a video professional, I’m just a volunteer at a Catholic Parish. Our pastor wanted to do a video Christmas message, but he kept looking down at his notes or staring to the right or left. Once I had his notes in the app, the problem was solved. He looked straight into the camera, and nobody could tell he was reading. Looked like he was talking off the top of his head. BTW, I had a few questions during setup, and the response to help inquiries was really good — once I got a reply to a note I sent after midnight before breakfast the next day. And I have the sense that the developer is VERY engaged in making the product work for the end user. Not free, but worth every nickel. If you have an iPad and a decent tripod (an absolute necessity) you can be a volunteer organization’s “video pro” in a snap. They don’t have to know how easy it is.

Support this developer!

When I got the chance to pre-order this App, I immediately did. This is a solid tool for creating professional casts and I use it regularly. I’m a repeat customer and was impressed by the features of this newer release. If you go through the App Store, you’ll see plenty of negative reviews on high star ratings and I feel like after the developer makes that cash either they stop updating, rarely responding or remove it altogether. I’m telling you that Joe Allen has been around for years now, always improving and taking customer concerns into account. If you have a real concern, the developer will respond. It’s easy to see he takes pride in his work and that’s why I recommend people support his current and future endeavors. Cheers, Buddays!
