Master and inspire your Photography.

My favorite photographer podcasts all in one place. Listen to them all and learn. My preference is to start in 2006 and move forward while simultaneously listening to the newest episode. There are so so many wonderful nuggets and learnings from almost twenty years ago. Hearing how photography has changed and transformed over this some span is incredible. Insights from masters with different perspectives all in one place is very rare. Enjoy and learn!

All killer, no filler. Straight up.

Ibarionex has a fantastic way of putting words & questions together that keeps the conversations focused & tasty. He paints vivid mental pictures that make you feel deeply immersed in the discussions and keeps you hanging on every word. Even if the talks drift away from the subject of photography, it always ends up coming back around in a tactful, relevant and super-inspirational way that ties it all to being alive and our love of shooting. Can't get enough, and I have learned so much, not only about each unique guest and their individual paths to success, but about the subtle everyday magic we all tend to take completely for granted. Seeing, listening, playing, breathing, interacting, being.Simple.Life.

A real boost in a burst of photo joy.

What an enjoyable, informative treasure-trove of unique visions & voices, esp. for photographers. In a calm, positive & gorgeous voice, the host engages each photographer in a way that makes you feel you’re at a table with friends, ready to order another round. Great questions. Each story is individual and can to cover a range - from their childhoods, first jobs, the subjects they love, their current projects, all authentic enough to affirm the listeners’ own weirdness er story and still lavish with survival tips anyone who’s listening very closely.

My Daily Dose of “Can Do”

I was introduced to The Candid Frame on December 9, 2019. I created a post for my friends to donate point and shoot cameras to a program I’m attending in Oaxaca, Mexico. My friend Chuck responded but sharing Jasmin Mara Lopez’s story. Since then, I’ve been working my way backwards loving every chance I get to learn from very talented photographers. In my heart I feel inspired and taking baby steps to sharing more of my passion for photography. Thank you so much for the insightful conversation!

Interviews are Terrific!

While I subscribe to a number of Photography related podcasts, the Cadid Frame is the one I can't wait to listen to each and every week. I'm a little late to discovering Ibarionex, but his approach to these interviewsis simp;y outstanding. While the majority of phot related podcasts out there focus on the gear or specific skills, The Cadid Frame focuses on the photographer and their story, and it is fascinating. A must listen if you are at all interested in photography or simply love to hear people tell their own stories.

National treasure masquerading as a podcast

This is so much bigger than a photography podcast. Think of it as great conversations with smart, interesting people who have the chance to talk about things in life that really matter to them. Quality of interviews is right up there with the best of anything done by Charlie Rose at his best. If you are interested in art, life, and growing as a human being you owe it to yourself to check this out.

Fantastic podcasts

Just discovered this app a couple of days ago and have already listened to several podcasts. All excellent. Really interesting, thought-provoking, and inspirational conversations between the host and a series of photographers. If, like me, you’re always looking for new ways to think about photography and would like to hear conversations between artists, then I highly recommend you check this out.

Simply wonderful

The Candid Frame is a delightful surprise. You see, I’m about as technically ignorant a photographer as you can imagine. This podcast includes me by speaking to every imaginable dimension of photography. I may not understand the mechanics of my lenses, but I do understand composition and a sense of wonder. The Candid Frame is pure dialogue. It’s poetry. It’s jazz. It’s mysticism. And for all of those reasons I am a convert and tune in regularly!

Terrific podcast for very interesting photography conversations

I have been listening to this podcast for a couple of years now. It is not a techy camera podcast, but a very interesting series of conversations between Ibarionex and photographers. We hear about careers, interests, how they got started, why they shoot and much more. The podcast app itself is very solid, easy to use and professionally done. Thank you for putting it together and for continuing it for all the years.

Inspirational and motivational. I support this podcast, and Ibarionex’s efforts

I found The Candid Frame a few years ago. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of listening to all of the back episodes. Each episode features a photographer who always has an interesting story of the work they do, and why they do it. I’m always excited when I get the announcement that the next episode is available, and I look forward to finding time to listen soon after. I have enjoyed the podcast, books, videos, and webpage so much that when Ibarionex came to NYC to give a workshop, I immediately signed up. I also support the podcast through Patreon, because I’m branching off my business from strictly videography, to that and photography. Ibarionex, and the other photographers, provide a window into their approaches. This gives me ideas to think of what my approach is, and what I want to do with it. I’m still learning, and I suppose I will always be still learning. (Pun discovered.)
