Still Some Bugs

Overall the game is enjoyable. Using a keyboard you can use the arrow keys and space bar for controlling gameplay. It is a bit more difficult on the iPad, in my opinion.Unfortunately, there are still some bugs that break the game. The biggest one is that after a certain point when trying to start one of Tasker's quests, the loading screen does not go away, and you are left with force-quitting the game.

Bug in Game/Dissatisfied with Customer Service

I love this game! I wish I could rate it higher, but the developers are frustrating. If there is a resolve, I'd be more than happy to give this game 5 stars. I have attempted contacting them on multiple occasions concerning a bug that LITERALLY, inhibits my ability to progress in the storyline. On multiple occasions I have contacted them with the information they requested to help identify and possibly diagnose the issue. Unfortunately, apart from an automated message requesting the same information I already included in my initial correspondence, I have received absolutely nothing from the developers. Since I cannot continue the storyline, I don't see any other options besides deleting the app and not returning to play. I already have tried starting a new game and deleting/redownloading the game.

THE GREATEST GAME

The art style is adorable and the story is charming. The mechanics are creative and easy to grasp. The controls are odd but in a super fun ways that makes the game even more interesting and invokes cool strategies of fluid sword swinging. The levels are designed to be easy and simple but not boring. Some games with secret items make you really frustrated as you try and find them but this game is designed amazingly. It is easily my favorite game on iPad right now and I haven’t experienced any issues at all. Amazing job developers!! Apple Arcade has so much potential

Really Enjoyable Game, Just too Many Bugs

Overall, I really have enjoyed playing this game. At first the controls are a bit tricky to get used to, but once you do the gameplay is very smooth and the gameplay is enjoyable. However, on many of the levels there are opportunities to get stuck on top of cliffs or on islands when retracing levels to find treasure chests. Additionally, I was 2 levels away from the Castle and my data was corrupted so it starts me from the first level when I open up the game. Otherwise, this game has been fun. If they could get the bugs worked out I’d give it a 5 star review.

Bug while retrieving archer’s quiver

This game is a lot of fun. I’m on a side quest, helping the archer retrieve their lost quiver. One of the berries that is shot through a canon toward the chomping head totem just floats away after landing near the head. No kidding, like it is floating down the graphics (which are a lava on this level), as though carried by a lazy river current. There’s no way for my character to retrieve it and there is no way to complete the quest without it. Please address 🙏🏼

Ignore the hater

PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE CONTROLS???! what! The point of the game is the adaptive and unique controls you just need to get used to them guys. And they’re are many bug complaints (which are true) but I’m sure the developer(s) are working hard to fix them. although I do have one complaint: the tutorial, during the tutorial nothing much happened and when it was over I was very confused I didn’t understand I had to stick my sword into the statues for about a day. Anyways great game 10/10

Character galore

This is one of the more unique offerings on Arcade. The sound design is both satisfying and strange, the characters bizarre, and the control scheme is as likely to infuriate as to invigorate. Comparisons to Zelda are not untoward but the similarities are mostly superficial; Slash Quest! is quirkier, often simpler, but has some challenging extras and mini-games as you work through the main quest. Bring a controller if the touch controls are too vexing. Highly recommended.

The pace of this game is bad

The game is in good quality. But the game’s tutorial progress seems to be too long. I have played through the first boss, which took me like 20-30 mins for the first 5 maps, but the monsters I met are still super similar to the ones I met at the beginning. Also, the map doesn’t give me enough motivations to explore it, given the fact that cutting the plants on the map only give me 1-2 coins while upgrading HP level takes me more than 1000. The weapon, the most important factor in this game, doesn’t have any permanent improvement so far, besides the visual effect when I swing it. It’s a great idea that it grows longer when I kill monsters, making it easier to explore the map(cutting plants) and to fight. This idea was the reason why I download this game. However, it turns back into the short sword soon after a while or after some necessary interactions with the map, which makes me feel really unrewarding playing the game. There might be a new map with total different scenes to explore or maybe a permanent improvement in the following game levels but again the game’s pace is too slow, the first 5 levels I played were just too similar and repeating to split them into 5 different ones.I know it’s almost impossible to make huge changes to the game at this stage but just a little suggestion for you, to help keeping players’ patience for the later game contents.

Great game!!!

I’ll tell you the truth, it took some time to get used to the controls, but afterwards I really appreciated the controls because if it was regular controls, it would of been like any other game. I love the puzzles in the beginning they were not that hard, but the further you’re in the harder it gets, and one of the last puzzles it took me a really long time to figure it out, and it felt good once I completed it!And The bosses were so much fun to beat, it’s not just slashing. In one word- AMAZING!!! Hopefully they would add more puzzles and levels!!!

Ridiculous controls

I played literally two minutes after the aninatics finished and hated the control scheme. They create a big learning curve that is just too much to overcome or get used to. The game night actually be fun but I won't know because of the awkward controls. The developer says that the control scheme is what makes this game unique. Then sorry but that means that the game replies on a gimmick rather than the actual gameplay/stories/characters. What great game has ever said "oh you'll love this game because of the WAY you control your character!". No one. A simple directional pad would have gone a long way towards staving off frustration and annoyance.Heck, maybe just put in an option to choose a directional pad. Although someone said they and issues with using a controller so a DPad probably wouldn't help. It all comes down to the movement. It's awkward and not great for precision. If you're getting attacked you're gonna talk a hit or two. If the control scheme was traditional that wouldn't happen as much. Plus 720 coins to get one heart back. Really? That's not a bit much, is it? Yeah it is. There are plenty of opportunities to get hearts so after here at the start but I bet later that those will go away.
