I want to love this app and I think I will as it gains in popularity and there is a larger pool to choose from. Specific piece of feedback...I would love if you could set your home location so you could still use the app when you are not in town. I’m a consultant (and as it stands, is a pretty typical career for millennials who is your target audience) and out of town Monday-Thursday. Not interested in dating outside of my hometown, so I’m limited to using the app less than half the week.Anyways, excited to see this app grow! Cool concept.

I really want to like this app...

I really want to like this app, but it just keeps coming up short.There are so few people on this app, so the selection is limited compared to any of the other dating apps. I know it takes time for the app to develop a following and that it's only been around for a year, but it's frustrating because I only have a couple of people to swipe through every few weeks, and I almost never match with anyone. I don't have the same issue on Bumble, Tinder, Hinge, or OK Cupid, etc.The profiles are so lacking in information, so there's nothing to really start a conversation from with any of these people on the rare occasion that I do get a match. The worst of all of this is that I finally matched with somebody and the app is so glitchy that I can't get into the matches/messages area. It just keeps spinning. I've tried logging out, deleting the app and re-downloading it, and nothing seems to help. 🤷🏻‍♀️

So far, it’s a cool concept but...

A friend and I joined the app so that we could swipe for each other. Everything in the app looks good but there aren’t any “save” buttons when you create your profile. I’ve copy/pasted my “bio” at least 10 times and every time I sign in, it’s gone. It’s the same for my friend; types a “bio”, starts swiping, goes back to look at her profile and there’s nothing there. Also, I know it’s relatively new dating app but it is seriously lacking potential suitors and needs some sort of verification tool because I saw a profile of a guy that looks like he’s (not lying) about 10 years old.

Not great...

My friend asked me to join her “crew” since she’s had bad luck with finding good guys, and I was excited to help; however, after opening the app, I very quickly realized I’d be zero help in her search.I found you typically get the very basics - pictures, height, job title, alma mater, and distance from you. I just wish they’d maybe make more sections mandatory? Or ask users right away if they’re interested in a hook-up or relationship or something, and maybe allow the hook-up profile to be more sparse (not my thing, but no judgements here), but ensure other users have a more robust profile.If you’re like me and are more interested in finding someone you could actually click with intellectually as well as physically, you might want to get something else.

Meh

So I know this is going to sound a little arrogant but I promise it’s not... I have been on other dating apps and I do pretty alright. I’m no 10 but I can usually get a quite a few likes and a couple good matches. I have been on this app for a few days and I have not had a single match. I’ve cleared through dozens of profiles and have no indication that anyone has seen much less swiped right on my profile. I almost feel as if my profile is hidden for some reason. Is that a thing? Otherwise, the layout is pretty good, it’s not glitchy, and the concept is cool. I just wish a match would come through... but that might not be a problem with the app. 😅

I wanted to like this app but...

I just can’t. The whole idea of only being able to see who likes you if you invite more people is infuriating (the “Sparks” thing). Why isn’t there an option to just pay for another tier, like every other dating app? I already have exhausted my pool of single friends, so now I’m stuck with “likes” that I have no access to. Also, why doesn’t the app at least automatically insert the likes into your dating pool so you can at least have a shot to match with them, like how Bumble does? I supposedly have six “likes” waiting on me, but no one left to swipe on in my dating pool? Come on. Hard pass on this terrible dating app. Stick with Hinge for actual results.

Love!

I am currently in a relationship, so I’m not on any dating apps, but I love the fact that I can participate too and help play matchmaker for my friends!! Before Ship, when hanging out with my friends, they would give me their phones to swipe on Tinder for them, and this brings that concept to a whole new level! Because it’s so new, there’s not a wide variety of users yet, but i believe that it has such potential to be big. Keep up the good work!

LOVE the concept, but has some initial kinks (to be expected)

This concept is brilliant! I’m not a fan of using dating apps for myself but one of my best friends is on all them and has chosen some terrible guys.. now I can hopefully find some winners for her and keep her from (completely) wasting her time!The newness of the app is evident through some kinks - like not being able to see the names/photos of people in your crew, making it confusing - but once all of those are ironed out, this app will definitely take off! Super excited to start using it for my friends once the word gets out about it!

Almost Perfect

I’ve been in a relationship for a while and haven’t been on the apps. I love that I can now participate and swipe for my friends. If they ever incorporate the idea of finding friends I am totally in! I do wish that friends could chat with the prospects. I’d like to be more hands on and groom some of these dudes (: My only complaint is that the profiles show how far away people are but not where they are located. My friend is moving to my city soon so I’d like to make sure the 60 mile away prospects are 60 miles in the correct direction!

Happy Thanksgiving

So, assuming everyone remembers the app has access to your Contacts List... I got this notification from Ship last night, “T-minus 2 days until Aunt ***** asks why you’re still single. Better start matching”. Well Ship, the Aunt you chose passed away 2 months ago, so real classy. I know you can’t please everyone, but may I suggest you use generic words like “family” or “friends” instead of being creeper stalker-like with your technology. Would be better if you didn’t remind your app users of their family members that are NEVER coming to Thanksgiving dinner again AND the fact they’re still single during the holidays. Made me feel great. 🙄... Thanks.
