App is easy to use but….

With the weather and the expanse of the city one modification I would make is to be able to move zones if you still have time remaining…

Expensive!

It charges you a $0.35 convenience fee, which you don’t have to pay if you’re paying at the station. That’s really annoying when you just want to park for 15 min to pick up some carry out. In that case, you pay more than twice as much. So all in all, convenient for longer parking, but expensive if you’re just trying to park momentarily.

Slooow support

Took almost a week to fix what should have been a quick & easy fix. New iPhone is having problems finding and using this app so I contacted support. Email is the only option. No text chat. No phone. To make it more fun they respond to emailed concerns only once-a-day (weekdays only - good luck if problem happens on a Friday) and only first thing in the morning. Then nothing again until the next morning, no matter how much you beg.

Garbage

Had to get the app because the kiosk was broken in the zone. Once I downloaded it and tried to pay it kept saying that the payment was invalid. Finally went through, I look at my bank statement later that night and find 6 charges for the app. No contact info in app. I want my money back!!!!! Never going to use the app again. Another example of a city outsourcing to unreliable 3rd parties.

Fine app, but Evanston hates parking

Would I be transgressing the license if I said the app works fine, but Evanston now has better tools to continue their ridiculous parking regime? I’m concerned about the non-disparagement clause in the license because I’m trying to disparage the Evanston parking enforcement, not the app itself (even though the app license terms are ridiculous in themselves... but ridiculous in a way that most licenses are these days. If I never see the phrase “in our sole discretion “ again it will be too soon)To be clear, the excerpt from the license below is not intended to disparage “company” but to inquire about whether disparaging a client of Company is considered disparaging Company. From the license: You agree not to download, display or use any Content in any other manner that is likely to cause confusion among consumers, that disparages or discredits Company and/or its licensors, that dilutes the strength of Company or its licensors’ property, or that otherwise infringes Company or its licensors’ intellectual property rights.

Unfair Charges

So I have $6 left in my wallet and it’s making me refill my wallet (to $20) before I can use my $6. What a scam Evanston...this app is supposed to make it easier for your citizens to park, don’t steal our hard earned money. Also, you are charging a $1.00 if you pay less than the full time ($2)?? So basically I need to pay at least $1.25 to park every time??? Even for 15 minutes? I don’t know who voted on instituting this new parking system but you should have made this more user-friendly. The past few times I’be been at the Evanston gym all I hear in the locker rooms are people complaining about this app. Change it.

Not exactly convenient

First and foremost, it keeps demanding a review, but in the app only offers the options of giving five stars or not reviewing at all. Second, every time I park, I have to go through and select one of three separate payment options. Once a user has pre-filled a wallet, I shouldn't have to be asked about filling a wallet each time. This isn't a time saver. The only benefit is having receipts for work.

“Spotty”, at best

This app worked for precisely two days. When I went to use it the third day, it would neither permit me to log in nor create a new account, repeatedly giving me an error message that my phone number (used without issue the prior two days) was “invalid”. I tried it on my iPad, too, to rule out an issue with my cell. Same problem. Had to run to catch a train, so I am expecting a ticket when I return to my car.

Great once you figure out how to use it!

So much better than using quarters in a meter and not having any change.Once you download the app and figure it out it’s good. My husband went to visit his mom an hour and a half from our home and called me to tell me what zone he was parked in (I have the app on my phone) I entered it and he was good to go. Mom was happy too! 😊

Charges you MORE IF YOU EXTEND.

If you are not going to extend your paking it works fine BUT if you’re going to extend your parking be careful of the charges. It charges you the initial stay and the final stay. Sometimes the charges doesn’t add up. Again if you’re not going to extend your parking it’s fine. Trying to correct those weird charges but customer service isn’t to great.
