Awesome!!!

I am a speech therapist in a local school district. I work with a variety of kids from k-5. I also work in our self contained classroom for kiddo's with Autism. We LOVE this APP! It is motivating and fun for my students (as well as teachers). Many of my kiddos are learning to use augmentative devices. This is a fun and educational way to teach cause and effect and so much more! We have been singing this sing in our Speech circle time over the last few years, but this adds a whole new fun and level of interaction for our kiddo's!

Auto page turn great!

Wheels on the bus and old McDonald include auto page turn which is great for my son. He doesn't have functional use of his hands so he can watch this independently. I wish itsy bitsy spider had this option too. This is great for children with cortical visual impairment. The images are simple and the music and graphics are so fun. Thanks for a wonderful app! I love being able to record my voice too so I can sing to him.

Interactive

My 1.5 year boy loves it, cause it makes a lot of noises, pretty much whatever he touches there will be some movements with or without noises. However, i do find the repeating song a bit annoying. Also i wish they can pronounce the word when one touches it. That would be a good learning tools as well. And the app doesnt have a main menu, the pages just keep going and going. I wish there is a "home" or "menu" icon or button to get out the pages. An index page to pick the page would be great. How come i dont see the "recod yourself" page? I should have the latest version since i only purchased it recently (dec 2011).

My twins love it, but....

The sound button on the main screens keep switching the sound and language. Other then that my kids would LOVE it.

Great colorful drawings. Cute and funny interactions on each page

VERY impressed with this app. It is quite enjoyable even for adults. For instance a cow holding the Moo Yorker. Also check out loud cow apps. Those are brilliantly done also.

Fun

My 2 year old, who is not tech savvy, can use this book with ease. She really became more comfortable with the iPad interface with this app. It isn't educational, in a traditional sense, but lots of fun.

Multiple teachable moments/learning opportunities

I am a speech-language pathologist and I use this app in speech therapy for a variety of goals. The students/patients get to listen to the song and play with the screen, then I turn the volume down and ask them to "show and tell" me what each animal/person, etc. on the farm is doing to practice verbs and tenses. We also describe the scene using complete sentences. The song and graphics are very motivating to the children. They begin singing along with the song and the variety of words we can use with this app give us the opportunity to practice all speech sounds. I also like how the game shows the day progress from morning to night so we can identify day/night. Duck Duck Moose games are wonderful!

One major flaw

When my toddler walks away and the iPad times out, the music still plays. This is on all of the Duck Duck Moose apps we have downloaded. The apps desperately need to be updated so that the music turns off with the iPad. My toddler loves them! And other than the music issue, they are great.

My 7 month old LOVES this app. I put on a 15 sec slide advance and it keeps him so entertained!!! Please keep making more apps similar to this!!

Good but not as good as other ddm titles

I rated this as average, because I have high expectations for Duck Duck Moose. This game is good, but it is not as thoughtful as the Itsy Bitsy Spider (5 stars) game or as educational as Park Math (5 stars) or Fish School (4 stars). It is more on par with Wheels on the Bus. With this game, I feel like they phoned it in a bit, relying on reputation. Admittedly, it is still better than what other companies are offering, but it doesn't stack up against other DDM titles.
