Whiteboard in your pocket

As a service designer who does a good bit of remote work, I love collaborating on Mural. It’s incredible how much content you can access, create, and edit with Mural’s app. It’s a robust set of tools, not just a way to view boards you created on desktop using the web app. Bravo!

Nice Whiteboard App!

Just started with it after signing up for a free account (individual user/no team). I like it! I can add a variety of items and even link them in mind-map style. Looking forward to using it more often. I’m not crazy about the “send-code-to-log-in” every time, but this seems common with this sort of app these days. Hopefully my work is being backed up to iCloud.

App Shouldn’t Even Exist

There is zero mobile interface and it works only 30% of the time. Absolutely useless and frustrating.

Epic tool for quick notes AND big syncs w team

I’m always getting inspiration (for work/home/design/travel/etc) on the fly and can just quickly add photos or notes to a mural and have an amazing collection of thoughts. Love it

Bad cancellation/ refund policy

Try Figma jam or Google jam board instead. Had an account with an old work email, but paid with a personal credit card. They charged me over $460 in two years with no logins. The third time this week. When I complained: No refund offered.

Limited, which defeats the purpose

This app is so limited compared to the features available on the web version, it completely defeats the purpose of having this app because you can’t work on your existing boards or new boards with the features that has made mural our tool to go to. Also, the fact that we are forced to use the app if we attempt to use their website on a mobile device is awful, we can’t do anything on our work iPads! Look for other solutions.

This App Does Not Work

Despite many, many attempts to get this app to work on my iPad Pro, it simply doesn’t function. To add insult to injury, Mural won’t allow an iPad user to use Mural through the browser. It forces us to open the useless app whenever we attempt to access a mural. This means I must instead use my work computer to access Mural and effectively anchors me to my desk, defeating the benefit of using my iPad to perform work. Every single other application offered by my employer through our company portal to my iPad works so I must assume Mural holds the blame here. It is an endless loop of attempting to log in and then being met with failures. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app dozens of times and followed the directions of my IT department on how to connect. Unfortunately, this app simply does not work. Without the benefit of using Mural on my iPad, I have switched back to OneNote for all of my collaboration on the go. It works perfectly, is secured through my company’s portal and VPN, and allows my co-workers and I to collaborate visually. Best yet: It actually works on my iPad. Flawlessly. Result: No need for Mural, at all. It was a nice concept but without the ability to use it on my iPad there is no reason to bother using it on my work desktop computer.

What did you do to the pen tools?

In older versions, the pen tools worked pretty well. No longer. Especially the Apple Pencil gesture to switch between the marker and the eraser. You guys broke it last summer and it's still not fixed. Lines are rendered clunky and shift to smooth after biting stops, making any sort of precision difficult. C'mon Tactivos! Don't make me switch to Figma!

Wasting my time

I took my iPad to the coffee shop to work on a Mural board, only to find out that I can’t edit paragraph blocks. I restarted the app, same issue. Can’t even copy/paste into another app. I’d previously realized that this app is junk but I forgot, so I just wasted an hour of time thinking I would work here. At least the coffee was good.
