App Crash Constantly - Erasing Work

Cool concept. Useful when it works. Unfortunately lacking in features and riddled with bugs making use super frustrating. The amount of times I have spent 10 or more minutes painstakingly making a design just to have the app crash and delete my progress is too many to count. Other basic things are frustrating as well. An inability to copy and paste whole pages to save time formatting. Frustrating spacing rules that make it really difficult to actually align things. Please fix the bugs!!!! I do not recommend this app until patchers are released.

Our company is switching from Invision

PRO:So far pretty much the same. Removing the layers in Marvel’s version of which is called is simpler because developers can just click an image and download. I find synching to be pretty fast. A more robust folder creation would be fantastic. CONHandoff won’t support PSDs. My Designers would love to only use Sketch but we have to be flexible. Sometimes our clients send PSDs. PSDs can still be dragged into Marvel for posting but not for capturing specs. Sort of slows things down for Developers.

Good but a few things are annoying

When using the app, in front if all your templates when viewing them have a purple box, which wont disappear, that obstructs your view from the center off all the screens. Other than that the website version is incredibly helpful. It also has a some bugs like after making a copy of screen “1” when you go back to view screen “1”, it only shows a white page so you have to make another copy and replace the original screen that you copied.

Great prototyping tool

Marvel provides the right balance of simplicity and utility. The UI is easy to navigate and very intuitive. Transitions, simple icon library for typical functions and useful templates are all available- even in the free version. My only complaint and is that the web version is a little laggy at times but it’s not horrible. Another great feature is that your prototypes can be designed on the web and then run on your device. A great app/service that is uncluttered and allows you to focus on design.

Simple solution that works.

Clean, simple and highly functional. A few additions would make it a killer and still simple and clean app! Wish it could import more then just images as source (e.g. PDF) and screen transitions would be amazing! Also would love if the share function could send a link that opened in the marvel app and not only a web browser. But all that said it does a critical job well.

Kind of easy to use

After a couple of days of playing around with the app I am getting aggravated at the small things that are not working for me. The app is a great concept, but every time I add or edit something in my design, it does not show up on the preview screen. This leads to me going back into edit mode multiple times to verify that my edits are intact there, but not showing up for me when I back out and try to add links. It is a great concept app, but does not work for what I need.

Useless to create prototypes on iPad

You can only import 10 pictures at a time, and then when you have to add multiple sets of 10 (to get what you can upload all at once on a computer), they end up in a completely random order. And you have to crop them for no reason - not something you have to do on a desktop. This was a waste of my time

Don’t use if you don’t have a subscription manager- will charge you when you don’t use

Most apps are really understanding and offer a refund if you cancel your subscription on the day of renewal. However, this app did not offer that! Instead of trying to understand what the user is experiencing financially they decide it’s best to give the user a free month. A free month doesn’t benefit me. It benefits them, so that way they keep taking my money. I’m extremely disappointed in the way they handle subscriptions.

So easy to use!

I usually use another program to prototype and wanted to try this. There's almost zero learning curve - it's so easy to use and the interface is uncluttered so it gets out of your way so you can quickly get down to work. You can play your app back on the screen, or even better, download the app onto your phone and you really get a good idea of how things are flowing. Don't hesitate, give it a try. I haven't used the commenting feature yet, but it seems pretty straightforward as well. You won't be sorry.

Amazing!

I love this app very much, and I am greatly pleased to give it a 5 stars rating. I encountered myself with a problem once. I spent over 3 hours one night creating images and linking them to create my prototype. Everything seemed to work perfectly fine and it even made it really fun to build a prototype. The major issue happened the next morning. As I woke up, eager to continue my project, I noticed that, although the images were still there, it was not working anymore so I went into the link editing mode and realized that ALL links where moved and resized... I wrote a review, which I have now updated, and reported the bug. It took them 14 hours to send a response. Within the next week a new update came out which fixed the bug. I am quite impressed with the amazing, fast, and efficient service that the people behind this app give to its users.Hope this helped! And keep prototyping!
