Pros and Cons

I’ve been playing this game for about a week now and I can say I enjoy playing the game quite a bit. I love the daily talks you can have to help improve your emotional well-being. It’s very easy to grow crops if you have the right amount of coins and there is even a building that you can make energy with (although it’s harder to get all the resources for the higher energy boosts). Production of goods is super fast about 10 seconds per item. However there are some downsides, I’ve noticed recently the game keeps telling me to take a test but when i click on the heart it won’t let me take any tests only shows me the basics, with that I have an annoying blue bar above one of the building that if there is something behind i want to get rid of it’s hard to reach because of the bar telling me to take a test i can’t take. The energy is also very poorly done most obstacles take 20+ energy and you only have 50 it runs out way too fast. It’s hard to enjoy the game while you’re constantly trying to gain more energy. I love the game but it frustrates me that i can’t take the tests when it is telling me to and how difficult it is to gain energy.

Love this game but…

I’m only writing a review because I genuinely really enjoy this game. It’s a lovely escape from my day that makes me feel mindful of myself at the same time, that may be product of the games’ mental health awareness or just a testament to how relaxing and engaging the game is. I love that there’s easy ways to gain energy, gems and money. I really enjoy all the thoughtful characters with unique personalities and roles in the story line. I love how Jane is so funny and I’m genuinely intrigued to see where it goes. However the more I play this game and the more far along I get, the more energy it costs to make small progress or the harder and more costly it is to obtain or produce materials. I’m not saying it should be super easy, but also if it’s really just meant to be a place to pacify you and provide you with tools to face the world, why make people need to spend way more time in the game to unlock storylines and adventures (the real fun anyways)? Thus robbing them of the time spent being present in the world around them and actually taking sun like the game suggests.

This was my favorite game

I’ve been playing this game since February and it was a nice escape from every thing going on in the world. I even subscribed to the weekly gem/Ruby subscription. Then Tuesday 7/11 came and they updated the game, essentially breaking an easy way to get more energy - which is what you need in the game to actually play. There is an order board that would count down to the hour and if you waited till five or so minutes before the top of the hour you could use hourglasses earned in the game to refresh the board until you got orders you wanted to complete and or orders that gave you energy or gems. This was not a cheat, it was just a helpful part of the game that the developers knew about and with their update on 7/11 they took this helpful part of tut game away. They know how upset it made us and made up an excuse for why they did it. That’s when I cancelled my subscription as clearly they want us to spend more real money to buy more hourglasses as it now takes many more hourglasses to refresh the board than it did before the update which reinforces why they did it in the first place. I didn’t mind supporting this game because they seemed like a small reputable company. I didn’t mind clicking on ads whenever they were available and getting my friends to play, but now it’s not the same. I don’t even want to think about what they will break next so don’t bother getting attached to this game like I did as they will just disappoint you with the next update.

Pro and cons

I really like the game overall. Well I feel the Facebook plastic, all the graphics are very real. Items required to build things are real also. I appreciate this. I do think the faces look pretty but I think though the bodies don’t quite look real. I enjoy building except for it’s taking a minute and a half for each energy. I feel this should be cut down to one minute per energy maximum. The emotional part of the game is very good but for me, I would greatly benefit from dailyVersus weekly question. Also I would greatly benefit from being able to graph these out and copy them. I have problems remembering back a week at a time. It would be good to be able to visualize it and even show it to my doctor especially after taking new medicines. I love going to the other farms but I don’t like being stuck on an empty one and not knowing how to go forward. This is the place I have been for at least two weeks.I hope you keep your ads positive. I am tired of ads that slam families thanks Joe break ups. Thank you for giving us a good game that actually helps us.

Love it!

I just want you to know that this is a great game. And it looks like it’s going to be one of those games for me that I’ll have for years. When I get involved with a game I usually keep it for as long as I possibly can. But in writing this review there’s nothing bad I have to say about the game I do have to say that I am really disappointed and a lot of the other games that I see for the ads that we have to watch for benefits energy and such. It’s not this game at all, it’s all the other games that represent women as a week battered beaten woman who has to endure domestic violence from her boyfriend, and or cheating husband while she’s pregnant having a baby and then being put in the cold and ultimately ending up freezing and most of the games. Which is an even a true depiction of the games. I discussed me and I don’t like to see the ads like this. There is one game that depicts a woman being hit she swims to a shore and she built a house. Not much better though it’s sad but all in all I love this game thanks for making it.

Deleting. Games should be fun, not frustrating.

Don’t waste your time unless you want to waste a lot of real money. I have been playing this game for several days. I have spent a little money just trying to get enough energy to complete tasks or get the items I need but the amount it requires to clear one rock is ridiculous. There is no way to get ahead without spending real money or waiting days and days to save up energy which is gone in 5 mins or less. I really appreciate not being forced to watch an ad every two mins so I’m giving it ⭐️⭐️ for that reason but I’m not spending any penny more money on a game that still requires watching ads which developers also get paid for. Also, what’s the deal with the animals? I have been looking for a cow for two days but I can’t get it because I can’t complete the building I need bc I can’t get enough energy! It’s not fun, it’s annoying and even though it is very cute and could potentially be a favorite, the aggravation of not being able to keep any energy or water ruins it. Deleting.

Getting very boring EDIT below

I have to redo the review below and make it a 5 star. Have learned a big thing I didn’t realize in the beginning - every place you go to, make sure you get all the resources you can get there, don’t leave any behind like I did in the beginning, that made me get stuck for a pretty long time. Still think some of the tasks need a bit too much but that does make you work for it. Am totally addicted to this game.Loved the game when I started but am about done with it. It is impossible to move forward without being able to get what you need. Iron for example, been needing it for days now and only get one now and then. Tells me I need to look for it in new places, well I can’t go to a new place until I do what needs done but can’t do that because I don’t have the resources. Again, the concept is great but am about done it is boring to go back for about 10 seconds to see if it will give me a piece of iron and then have to wait again. Not even to mention the larger items you need to do things like the paddock, not a chance to finish that in the next 3 months or so.

Do Not Spend Any Money On This Game.

Like one of the pervious reviews, I have a hard time moving forward. I really love this game and would’ve given it a 5 star rating. However they send you around in circles. I need resources to upgrade my buildings in the improvement tree. I need to upgrade a building to get iron products, but can’t upgrade the building without the iron products. I need wool to upgrade a building but can’t upgrade because i don’t have a sheep and can’t find where to get one. I need a greenhouse to grow tomatoes but there isn’t one on the improvement tree to build or I can’t find anywhere I can get a greenhouse. Without the tomatoes there are many times I can’t sell and clear the board. I have needed a sheep to make rope and thread. Need rope to fix the pier or upgrade buildings. I need iron products to fix the car so I can go on adventures, but can’t because I can’t get them. Ive even invested at least $30-$50 in hopes of finding one. I have never spent money on a game. There is no Q&A, direction, or guidance as how to accomplish these things on the game app. I know the developers have said to email support. Ive done that, but for some reason I can’t get one to them. It says it is an error. They have made it such a hassle. Don’t get involved with this game or spend money on it unless you want these frustrations and headaches. If these things change and I can get past these barriers I’ll change my review. Until then this is what they get.

Accept the trade offs

This is a very well thought game and it is very engaging especially with the story lines and all the things you can be doing in the game. But be warned that this is an energy system game. This means that for you to expand your land access in the game you need energy to clear rocks, stones, trees etc. one thing I am extremely liking is the fact that this game does not have levels. Most games have the level 1,2,3 and so forth. This game is about expanding land and that’s how you judge your growth, which I didn’t previously know I liked.A strong note of warning, the energy within the game is designed to run out and have find ways to replenish or wait till you get energy restored. The game is set to stop at 50 energy points and you can get in-game rewards or food to increase the 50. The game also has a farming component to it and also order board delivery which don’t need energy points. This is where strategy comes in. When you run out of energy and it will take a while to replenish then you farm and make money until you can explore for a short time and go farm for more time than you can explore. All games have a point where it slows down and each level up requires a longer time to accomplish. It’s that way so that you can play for a long time to come. All in all I love this game but it’s because I am accepting of drudgery that comes with it. It’s an okay trade off to play it.

Love the dual purpose

This is not like most of the games you’ve played like this one. There’s a screen where if you take a bunch of simple little questionnaires you get a ton load of free energy. They tell you something about yourself based off their answers. It’s pretty cool actually. They also regenerate so you can do them again. It’s also a mystery. Have to find my missing father. So if your into true crime and like games where you have to be weary of all your neighbors cause one knows something. One had something to do with your dad going missing. So if you like to search for clues you’ll like this game. These kind of games don’t usually grab and keep my attention and interest. Usually these big farms make me anxious of how much I have to clean before I can even start making it look like a real farm. I don’t feel that way with this game. No I’m not being paid to give this review. I never post reviews. I think this is the first review I’ve ever left since the App Store opened. The fact that you got me to leave a review you got me to leave positive feedback should tell you everything. All you ever see are the negatives. When we aren’t happy we want to tell the world but when we’re content it doesn’t even cross your mind cause content and happy people don’t feel the need to shout it to the world. So those positive reviews never get posted. I wanted to leave a human positive feedback not just another bot.
