Awesome!

I did not expect a japanese app to perfectly translate my english to japanese! It is also helpful, for example you can copy down the japanese chatacters on a piece of paper and learn with the app! You can also impress everyone knowing japanese! I use this app all the time to “refresh” my japanese knowledge. It also works as a pocket translator (if your using a phone or small device). Overall if you want a cool japanese translator this one is right for the job.

Nope

If your trying to learn a language then hear you go, but if you just want something more accurate than google translate keep looking. I just want to find out how to say the words “silent princess” or “quiet princess” or even just the word “silent” (in Japanese) but no. It’s full on sentences! I don’t trust google translate, it’s stupid and not accurate, but at least with google you can get at least an idea of what your looking for. This seems more accurate but I’m not looking to write an article. Besides it’s to complicated to use anyways.

A little difficult to learn

Would be better if automatically translated aloud. This app makes you press the speaker to hear otherwise seems pretty good. One unpleasant thing though is that to use some of the features you have to buy more apps?

Excellent!!

This is an amazing app for translating Japanese to English. I stay with in-laws in Japan and when I need to say something beyond my Japanese language abilities, I type in anything I want to say and it translates beautifully. Its true that is the written translation includes kanji and may not be easy for beginners to read, but playing back the audio for any Japanese speaker works great!! And the ability to use off-line is fantastic. Super helpful for my home life with in-laws and travels around Japan!!!

Too many ads

The app is great for translations but there are too many ads. And they’re always the same ad and in the worst timing. There would be like the same ad you got 4 times in a row every 2 translations and it happens during the translation so you have to re listen to it the. You can translate again then when you do another one the same thing happens.

Very helpful

I use this app all the time. Especially when I want to know if I sound dumb. I’ll talk in Japanese with the voice feature and it’ll tell me what I’m saying. I love this app. I recommend it to anyone learning the beautiful language of Japanese.

Very helpful

I've downloaded this app a while ago bc using Google translate was becoming very time consuming. So i got this app and let me tell you, it's amazing. It offers offline translations and will translate everything you give it. Ten outta ten.

Use Roman lettering

When translating from English to a language that does not use the standard alphabet letterings, don’t just translate to that non standard alphabet lettering. For example: I want to translate a word like “diabetes” from English to Japanese. I input the word “diabetes” and up comes the Japanese kanji for diabetes, which I cannot read and pronounce if I cannot read it! Include the Japanese word for “diabetes” written in the lettering that the person using the app. For example: I am imputing the word “diabetes” in English. Then add a phonetically correct Japanese translation of the word “diabetes” in standard alphabet lettering, along with what is already included. “Tonobyo” along with the kanji character. If this option is already available, then where is it? Make it available or apparent so that I don’t write reviews like this one.

Amazing!

apart from the ads it’s very efficient and accurate! it’s really a great app and i’ll tell others about it too! i can’t believe it’s free but i’m glad because i could not buy it if it cost money and others would not too! that’s why free apps are amazing!!!!!!!!

Great! Very helpful

The translation is fairly accurate all things considered. The only problem is the playback of the reading voice is extremely low. I have to turn it up quite a bit.... Then an ad will randomly pop on and blast through the speakers and scare me. Fix the playback volume and it's five stars from me.
