Accurate but too much chaos.

I’ve been trying to learn German without taking all of the lessons and I was really excited for this app, and it is accurate and everything. But, as all apps have, there was a flaw. The flaw is that there is just way too much going on in the app. All of the ads and other things in the app are just chaotic, distracting, and it’s just too much to handle. :/Thank you for the app though.

Great for learning phrases and sentence patterns

As an ESL teacher, and someone who already speaks three languages, I feel like this app is great. I’ve been looking for two months since moving to German for an app that would allow me to learn on the go. Also, when learning a language it is difficult to learn how to properly use words when you don’t know the context they are applied to. Or, if you are curious as to ask or say something in a certain context. Great app.

Great value

And I’ve been using this app now for three or four months, and it has a great library of words, the ability to save at favorites, both words and sentences for review. I highly recommend this app and is priced affordably.

The Only Translation App Für Mich

I downloaded a few German translator apps to try after Google translate burned me on mistranslating a few phrases. A lot of these programs are great for direct translations of a single word but fall apart when you try to make actual phrases. This app has a database of related real phrases it will dig into to provide actual translations with correct grammar and (most of the time) word choice given subtle shifts in cultural meaning. They’ll even throw out additional phrases using the words you are searching for so you can see it in other contexts. Often these can be very funny. Also, the premium version is a one-time payment and you get access to everything offline. There are functions for accessing your history and bookmarking favorites too. 1A Gute Ware! Vielen dank!

The best offline app ever !

I use this all the time to talk to my sons gf parents who live in Germany and don’t speak any English. We can translate both ways!! Love it! And when we were I Germany this past summer I used it exclusively to communicate as my own German sucked lol. I highly recommend this ap. ESP if traveling abroad with no internet service !!

Needed a good offline translator - danke!

This app has been a lifesaver as we figure our way around on our first visit to Germany! I love that you just type in the word(s) without having to worry about which language it is. The dictionary option and example sentences have helped a lot for certain words that didn’t come up automatically. (Bonus - some example sentences are hilarious!)

German Translator

I have purchased the Premium version. I use this religiously for translation, variances in English to German sentence construction due to differences in how we might express a thought in English vs how a German may relay the same thought in their native language, and the application of the word or thought through other additional sentences that are provided. As there is more than one way to express a thought in English, the same applies to German. At times I will input in German how I think a German would say it, and the translator confirms my correct thought in English; yet when I input the same thought in English, the German translation comes back different than how I expressed it in German. It becomes confusing as to whether the German translation is the preferred expression, or my interpretation would be acceptable and understood. This translator is a fantastic tool which I don’t know what I would do without in my effort to learn German.

Best tool for learning German

I am a true beginner to the German Language and I constantly need to reference words as I write or speak and this app has been extremely helpful as well as correct! I enjoy seeing the different usages of the words and seeing them used in sentences. I will continue to use and so happy this exists!

Not working

Since yesterday my German translation dictionary isn’t working properly. It’s like i have no internet connection which i do. I even tried it with vpn but it’s not responding. It’s like it’s offline . What should i do ? This app is vital for me .

A great tool!

I am so glad I got this APP. I am pretty fluent in German, but it has been a long time since I had someone to talk to in the language. I'm a bit rusty. This works beautifully. I can type in what I want to say and check to see if it's what I thought it should be. I can check pronunciation and correct accent placement, too. A lot of English words have been absorbed into German over the years and this helps me with how those English words are being pronounced by German speakers. I am using it so much I decided to upgrade and I'm very glad I did.
